  1. I saw it as an '80's' thing, not an insult. Especially since Jack is so loving and well liked. If Jack was an ass, then I could see him saying that kind of statement out of a misogynistic belief.... but that's not the Jack we've come to know and love. He has tremendous respect for Rebecca.
  2. Just when I was ready to throw in the towel on this show, they pulled me back in. Here are my unorganized, random thoughts: I ~~~ L O V E ~~~ the story line with William and Jesse. And I love the speech Jesse gave at the meeting. I want the two of them to stay together and to deal with the usual relationship ups and downs. I don't dislike Toby, but I am having a hard time understanding what he sees in Kate.... and that comment has nothing to do with her weight. It's just that she's such a negative person (Kate, not Chrissy) and Toby is always exhausting himself trying to impress her. Side note: If you watch the most recent 'aftershow' interviews with the cast, you can clearly see Chrissy's lost some weight. Her face is a lot thinner in that clip and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they don't have her wearing padding elsewhere. Regarding Jack's death: I think they'll drag that out until the very end of the series.... not the show, not the season.... the series! In other words, if the show itself runs 2, 3, 5 - 10 years! - I think Jack's death will be in the series finale, and I believe it will be on Christmas Eve. JMHO. There's really no need to reveal it sooner. I don't mind Dr. Folksy Charm, but I did think it was a bit odd that the Pearson's were keeping watch over him post surgery as opposed to being by Kate's bedside. Dear Show's Writers: Please, no more random acts of sex in grieving stranger's houses and no more disrespectful, unscheduled sexual rendezvous in your brother's upstairs bedroom. It's creepy. I mean -- WHO DOES THAT - !?!?!?! Kevin's my least favorite character on the show. I couldn't careless about Olivia.... and Sloane is, to me, somewhat similar. I don't see the chemistry between Kevin and either of them. I DO hope Kevin 'grows on me,' because he's certainly here to stay. Randall, Beth and their whole family / story line is my FAVORITE part of the show. I really like that whole family dynamic and now that they've added Jesse in the mix, I guess I'll give this show another chance. :D
  3. I love the pseudo-sibling relationship between Michaela and Connor and I absolutely LOVE Connor being the annoying little brother to big sis Michaela. I hope Pete never changes that. They have such chemistry together in those roles.
  4. Maybe it's a 'female' thing. Maybe it's an 'age' thing. I couldn't say because I'm neither, but to me there was no LOVE, no "You complete me." It looked like neediness to me, like Eve might actually love Annalise, but Annalise is such a walls-up, guarded and broken human being, that regardless of who she's with.... Nate, Eve, or creeping on Wes in some bathroom...., it just looks like a dependency, neediness thing.... like a "Please don't leave me" situation. When it comes to Annalise and romantic relationships, I don't see the happiness. I don't see the love.

Agreed. ^^^^ David knew what he was getting into by going on the show. Anxiety is a real condition; however, David knows himself better than anyone on the show and he can't seriously think that the rest of the cast are supposed to tippy toe around his issue/illness. Especially under the conditions these people are living under: heat, hunger, bugs, rain, thirst, inadequate shelter, uncomfortable bedding. Good grief! People get testy under perfect conditions in the climate-controlled comforts of their non-Survivor lives. Add in all these uncomfortable elements, and if David didn't feel he could handle what may lie ahead, he shouldn't have gone on the show. The only reason Bret / Zeke said anything in the first place is because David won't let it go. He has this entitlement thing about himself where he feels like he can say whatever he wants but then because of his anxiety issue, people have to be careful what they say to him in return.
  6. If they're going to have Wes' killer be one of the K4 (I hope not) or Frank, Bonnie or Nate,..... then I hope they let us, the viewers, know way before they have Annalise find out. I think it would be interesting watching that person, (let's say it's Bonnie, for sake of argument), interacting with Annalise all the while WE know she killed Wes, but Annalise doesn't know that yet. I'm going to guess the police were tipped off by Frank or Bonnie presumably to frame Wes, which is also why I'm assuming Frank or Bonnie is Wes' killer.

I don't condone violence. Not sure what my response would be, but not violence.

It wasn't appropriate, but I can't condone slapping Bret upside his head as the right response.

I just went back and rewatched the tribal council because I didn't know what you meant, and honestly, I still don't. They had a little verbal exchange, but nothing 'bitches and mean girl' worthy, IMO. What am I missing? Btw.... I'm a bi guy so I get the whole false portrayal thing, I just don't see what was so bad about Bret and Zeke's convo to David.
  10. With Coliver I can clearly see the love, the jealousy, the passion, .... all the nuances of an actual relationship. I see none of that with the women. I want to see it, but I don't. I think it's a step in the right direction to finally start portraying LGBT characters on 'regular' TV and not only pay TV, and to stop writing LGBT characters as nothing more than flamboyant goofballs or psychopaths or pedophiles and every other negative creature of society. It's about time we see them as normal. Well, as normal as can be on a show named How To Get Away With Murder.... lol.
  11. I wish they would lighten up (read: eliminate) the lesbian kisses / story line. It's not working. Viola is an amazing actress but not the least bit convincing as bisexual. I don't believe the romantic side of her relationship with Eve. Friends? Yes. Lovers? No. I also don't believe the kiss between Annalise and Bonnie. And what's up with that kiss between Michaela and Laurel????? Give it up, Pete. It's not working. There's no sexual chemistry. It looks too forced. Now Coliver, on the other hand, that totally works. I'm amused at how many people were shocked about a week ago when Jack 'came out' as straight. That just goes to show the quality of his acting...... he managed to fool the general public. Next topic: If Wes has to be dead (I'm still holding out the hope that it was staged to buy him immunity and/or time) then at least we can eliminate any of the remaining Keating 5 as the killer unless it was some freak accident and they (read: Laurel) didn't mean to kill him. None of the K5 have any homicide-worthy motives to want to kill Wes. If anything, I'd pin it on Frank or Bonnie, (more so Bonnie), but even that, to me, is a stretch. I'm thinking the cops who tried to get him to sign that document to rat out Annalise have something to do with Wes' death.

I like Brett. Hope he goes far. I'm not a regular viewer. Just rooting for the gay guy.
  13. My guess as to what happened is 'crooked cops.' I'm guessing the cops ultimately gave Wes the deal he was after (which, of course, we would have yet to see), but then after granting him full immunity (or whatever he wanted) they decided to renege. They probably had him followed, saw him go to Annalise's house, figured he'd break down and confess what he'd done if given half the chance, and so they killed him.... and what better place to kill Annalise's snitch then in Annalise's own home so they could frame her for the murder? As someone here previously stated, how could they have had enough evidence to arrest Annalise when the house hadn't even stopped burning? I'm guessing they had all the evidence they needed from Wes' statement and now that Wes turned up dead in Annalise's still-burning home, they had enough to make an arrest. Since Annalise herself had called Laurel to the house, I'm guessing that her being there had nothing to do with Wes' murder nor the fire. That's my theory at the moment. I don't believe any of the remaining Keating 5 are involved. I do think by showing Nate's arrive at Annalise's shortly before the fire, TPTB are trying to make us think that Nate's involved.
  14. I was thinking the same thing. As a hacker he has to know stuff he's not letting on about.
  15. I knew but I had forgotten until I started watching his post-show interviews. I hope whatever series he's on in the future he uses his regular voice. :)
  16. Something must have happened last night that we missed. Justin made breakfast for everyone this morning but he, Jason and Kryssie sat at the big table while Morgan and Shelby sat at the smaller table. Usually, regardless of their differences, they all sit together.
  17. "Great" is a bit of a stretch. http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/empire-season-three-ratings/ I don't understand what the purpose was of Wes being present while Frank (or whoever) shot his biological father. Also, are we to believe the body they found in the woods is Rebecca? How could they have made a positive ID that quickly? And what significance does that have to Wes ending up dead?
  18. Wes' killer could be anyone. Heck, it could be one of the 2 cops who were granting Wes immunity. It's whoever Pete Nowalk wants it to be. He himself said he hadn't settled on Wes being the victim until they finished filming episode 7. Remember how we were all theorizing during episode's 1 - 7? Well, even the writers of the show didn't know the killer at that point. Nowalk was toggling back and forth between Wes, Connor, Nate and Frank. (Personally, I think he made the wrong choice, but that's just me). The show's ratings have been tanking ever since the start of last season's winter return. Then, when the show's PTB were hoping the start of Season 3 would resurrect the show, that failed as well. HTGAWM has fallen into the same rating's vortex as Empire -- which had an AWESOME Season 1 and a mediocre everything else. They had no choice but to throw this 'hail Mary' pass by killing off a main and well liked character to try and save the show from cancellation. I hope it works, but I bet it doesn't.
  19. Yes ^^^^ that was a good one too. He's done about 5 interviews since the big reveal. I know he'll be back for the rest of the season, but I hope he finds another role somewhere in 'Shondaland.' I absolutely love Wes. I don't want this to be the last we see of him. :(
  20. FUN FACT: I saw Alfred Enoch doing some interview today and he was describing shooting the morgue scene. He said it was like one o'clock in the morning when they finished shooting that scene and he was the last to leave the studio because it took him over an hour to remove enough of the burn prosthetics to be able to ride his bike home. (For those who don't know, he mostly rides his bike to work). Anyway, because it was so late, he said he almost rode his bike home without removing the prosthetics first, but he changed his mind because he was afraid he'd give someone a heart attack if they flashed their high beams on him along the roadside. Can you imagine what that would have looked like? It's one o'clock in the morning and you're driving down the rode when here comes a half burned up man riding a bicycle towards you? :D
  21. Justin's been playing both sides, SO he is definitely going to throw this veto. Now that he won the challenge, he doesn't have to worry about going up on the block and IF he were to win the veto, he'd have to show his cards by either keeping the noms the same and showing Jason and Kryssie that he has truly flipped sides ~OR~ removing someone from the block and forcing Morgan to put up Shelby. He's safe. Why put another target on his back? He's going to throw the veto comp. I'm 100% convinced.... no matter what he says.
  22. I didn't care for Cornelius' dress, but man that guy can sew--!!! He always has interesting seems. I loved Erin's dress. The rest....meh....not so much.
