    John and Hope/Gina - no romantic chemistry and lasted forever. Seriously. It was like a 2-3 year storyline.

    Jackee Harry was also a big prime time star, but she managed to have a career on a soap. Maybe this is what ALM will have?

    I wonder if they will bring back Belle so Marlena has a child in town. It would be fitting.

    Unlike Kristian, Deidre had 3 successful pairings. I think it will be easier to see her as a standalone character than Hope.

    Christie Clark basically said that she spoke to Deidre and she was grieving hard. I’m surprised she was able to release a statement at all.

    My favorite love interest of his was Marlena, with my favorite stories being the Pier reunion, the tale of two Romans, the affair, Maison Blanche, the Posession, A Lady in a Cage, and the Kristen/Susan saga. Mainly, 1991-1997. In recent years, I’ve loved John as a father and grandfather.

    I like the Body and Soul stuff too. And that definitely counts as an unpopular opinion.

    I guess that explains why Drake isn’t going to be at “Day of Days”.

    That would be nice, but Marlena has no more children in town other than Brady. I guess she could become more of a presence in his life.

    Not shocked about Drake. He’s been looking thin and frail for awhile now. I just hope that, after he passes, they don’t reunite Marlena with Roman. I’d rather they bring on a new love interest and start from scratch.
