Yeah I think they're really great dancers and performers. I was surprised that Allie made it given her non-DCC friendly shape (usually those who can't make the uniform shine don't make the team) but I guess they really wanted strong performers this year. (sometimes K picks looks over performing/dancing)

happy Monday girls! Is anyone else besides me totally exhausted? I've discovered a new show on Netflix that I binged on this weekend (sadly there is only one season and I'm not sure it's returning). It's a docu-series on competitive cheerleading called Cheer Squad. Anyone else a fan?? So exhausted. Why do I never feel well rested enough to brave the work week?

Agreed! Who is that?? Didn't even notice Holly nor could I watch Victoria (still meh in my opinion). This little pint sized dynamite is awesome! She may get the slim down talk because she does have that gymnast figure but wow she can perform!

Nope, I'm totally with you. She seems very very turkey jerky looking if that makes sense - muscle sinewy and dry = aged look. Plus I just don't think she has pretty features but that's just my opinion OMG Team Edward for sure!!! Sorry ... off topic

@ShellyB Will you guys find some way to keep Jenn K associated with the DCCs? She seems like such a great ambassador / vet / performer / etc. Also, why does retired vet Kelsey still have her DCC twitter handle? I mean, she chose to retire right? So why would she keep the handle? Has anyone spoken to her about it? It's so odd.

yeah seems doubtful but good for her! LA rocks! I get what Kelli was saying ... she does have a very intense stare to her eyes. Reminds me of Emily Snake Eyes. I don't think the dark liner helps though; in pictures where she looks more natural, she seemed much prettier!

Yeah Yuko looked adorbs in the blue suit! Made me want to shift my belly rolls out of the way so I could get up and order that bikini. I must be the only one who doesn't seem the appeal of Raylee... I don't know but that weird color hair just seems stripperish to me (that plus the name). Not sure about Allie - she should count her lucky stars that she made the team given her square figure. She must be a great performer. She's adorable in real life I'm sure but by DCC standards, I get what Kelli was saying about her looking square

Not going to lie but Chantal's fake chest just look so painful. Reminds me of the mom in the movie Mean Girls - remember her? As far as twins go, Kyndall is a much prettier version of Chantal. Too bad about the dancing / performing!

Any confirmed folks trying out this year? And thoughts on those who seem the DCC type?

yeah I'm over Kelsey. I don't think she should have made the team in the first place (but yes she's pretty ... although Ashley from the Chiefs was prettier in the same manner IMHO). Hmmmm ... maybe that belongs in unpopular opinion :)

Eating (thank you Trader Joes) a delicious, high fat bag of Oven Baked Cheese Bites. They're horrible and yet so amazing at the same time. Literally baked cheese. Sigh

I'm with you Woods ... I have made very little momentum and the small moves I've made have been disheartening at best! sad but true .. I use to do that because I want to see a doctor but I need to give my boss advance warning and I don't want to take a vacation day.

Have Megan or Melissa or Amy publicly stated their retirement? I'm so curious why they're moving on? Especially as the two Ms are such strong dancers!

I just think the whole "I'm retiring ... oh wait, I'm not" thing of Jenna's is just plain weird.

nooooo why Melissa why? I mean, I get why but still! The group is down a lot of strong dancers / performers with Jenn, Melissa and Megan gone.

We are WAY overworked and underrested! And I hate how we feel guilty or shamed about taking mental health days OR real health days! It's so annoying! I definitely feel bad but when I look back at my career / years, I have NEVER regretted taking a single day off but I have always regretted not taking off MORE days! And they definitely pit people against one another. My friend will make snarky remarks if she knows I'm going home or on vacation (I know it's because she's annoyed she's overworked and not against me personally); so I've just stopped telling her when I'm off or when I'm on vacation.
