  1. Useful information! I watch Cosby show reruns on TV One instead of Chris Matthews because I can't stand to listen to him whine.
  2. She does look like she'd be about the same age as someone who was 27 in 1966.
  3. Question: When can we impeach Joe and Mika?
  4. Full disclosure: I am Elizabeth Warren's target market - I'm progressive, over-educated and fairly well-to-do. I may not be the whitest crayon in the box but that's not relevant. I don't get it. I keep trying to be fair and give her a chance, but I don't hear anything but words and air. I frustrate (or entertain) everyone in the room with me when I watch her by saying out loud and repeatedly "How?", "Why?", "How is this relevant to your point?", "What IS your point?" and "Show your work!" She's not.saying.anything! There are no plans; only empty platitudes. I don't get it. When I juxtapose Warren's appearance tonight with recent appearances by Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Julian Castro, Tim Ryan, Mayor Pete, et.al., I don't see how anyone can still prefer Warren to any of the other worthy choices in the race. Even Rachel appeared to be giving her the side-eye tonight (maybe it was the seasonal allergies that appear to be bothering her this week.) I've been following Booker since the beginning of his career in Newark knowing he is destined for bigger things. I thought Kamala Harris was a rock star on last night's show, Even though Mayor Pete reminds me of Tracy Flick, I understand what he is saying and I respect him. Warren I don't get.
  5. The thing is, none of these new allegations are really new. We knew all or most of this last year when he was being confirmed. If a potential Supreme Court Justice (FFS) has a compromised background like this, we should just take a pass and move on to the next nominee, even if the allegations can't be proved. Where there's smoke, there's fire, and the Supreme Court is too important to risk the chance.
  6. I think Bill Maher should be wife #4 (?) for Joe after JoMika inevitably implodes. Both of them are callow opportunists who apparently have a lot of regard for each other and no one else.
  7. And she shut him down for a minute too! I almost had some respect for her until she said what she had to say. She's just another hack, albeit a salty one.
  8. Tell me about it. I loved Eastbound and Down and watched Vice Principals, but this I can't do. It's just not funny.
  9. Yes, this happened. They were on set together. I missed the lead up. I turned it on at the point where Joe asked Mayor Pete if Jesus was his personal savior. Mayor Pete handled it well, although he did have an "Eh-Q me?" look on his face.
  10. Full disclosure: I have absolutely zero use for Fundamentalists of all stripes. However, watching Joe try to save Mayor Pete while he is sitting next to the latest of his adulterous conquests (that we know of) was rich indeed. Didn't Jesus say something (in the red letters) about the mote in your own eye? Lose me, Joe.
  11. This show is like trying to make a sitcom out of an ISIS cell. I tried. I'm out.
  12. This episode was really the right balance of humor and seriousness. The phone sex scene between Gerri and Roman may have been my favorite television scene ever.
  13. This sounds like something Rachel Maddow would do.
  14. Do you think the other G-6 told him the wrong time for this meeting on purpose?
  15. Damn. It is not going to be pretty when that face finally snaps. From the looks of it, that should be coming any minute now. Damn. Face is tight!
  16. The theme songs for Sam Stein and Kasie that Mika and Joe thought were oh so cute? And then the camera pans to Rev Al and he is not.having.it. Good TV, even if Mika was involved. Not a welcome return.
  17. Hopefully, karma will finish the job.
  18. Yasmin did stumble over a word on the teleprompter this morning and Willie corrected her one beat before she said it correctly. (I forget what the word was now - she was reading the former Republican's op-ed.) We don't want to set the audience's expectations too high in Mika's absence.
  19. Among other things, I did like the shout-out to Toni Morrison in this episode (when DeCourcey was reading Jazz in bed). I do like this show, even if DeCourcey and Rachel are the only characters I don't actively wish death upon.
  20. Well, at least the show was watchable this morning without Mika. Even Joe was tolerable (I was oblivious of the twitter drama).
  21. Let's support Biden because he sucks less than (the presumptive Republican candidate). We don't deserve anything better than mediocrity. Worthless. I gave up. Again.
