He's got great hair, I'll give him that. But I didn't necessarily think it was a good sign that his love for his hair was mentioned during the 'what you should know about your new husband' bit during the ceremony. I'm getting a Jesse Katsopolis vibe from him. *tilts head, gazes intently, runs fingers through hair* He'd be the type to use one of those windshield contraptions that Jesse invented to keep hairspray from getting on his face and in his eyes. Yep, pretty sure. That was very Cookie Monster of him. "Me love cake! Cake so good! Must eat cake!" *nom, nom, nom*

Wow, he looks so different with shorter hair. IMO, he should've stuck with that look.

The problem is that I was expecting it to be similar to Pillow Talk (90-Day Fiancé), and it's not. 😕

S10.E01: First Comes Marriage, Then Comes Love
amcfar replied to Drogo's topic in Married At First Sight
That's one of the most terrifying factors of this show. Without knowing what the other person looks like, you have no idea if you'll be physically attracted to them or not. Looks obviously aren't the most important thing, although having an attraction to the person you're going to spend your life with is definitely a positive. But the "experts" aren't going to know if there will be that spark or not. I always find it super weird when people in their mid-twenties go on this show. They have plenty of time, so why resort to this? Is the chance to be on a TV show and self-promote really worth a potential divorce? -
S10.E01: First Comes Marriage, Then Comes Love

Sorry, I didn't mean that my husband looks like Jon. While watching the show, I made the comment to my husband that Austin looks like Jon. Fixed it in the original post. FWIW, my husband is handsome though. 🙂 Just a very different look than Jon's. -

I thought the same thing, and mentioned it to my husband. Austin looks like Jon Heder, especially with the way he has his hair. -
Like 55%?

Lying/cheating aside, Jed is just so dull; absolutely no personality. He doesn't really emote and seems to continually have a confused/bored look on his face at all times. Every time he speaks, he looks like he's genuinely struggling to find words to be able to string together a sentence. Also, that was the most unenthusiastic proposal ever. He could've been reading/singing the ingredient list on a cereal box and I don't think it would've been much different. Hannah, you really pictured yourself spending the rest of your life with that guy? I'm genuinely at a loss...

Elizabeth is so INTENSE - the kind of person I can only handle in very, very low doses. Her wedding dress was so ill-fitting. You could even see the gore of her bra. The bodice/bust needed to be cinched in. Her makeup was so dark and her fake eyelashes were too much. I think she would've looked so much better with more natural/minimal makeup. She looks much better in that head shot shown earlier in this thread, for example. Amber seems to be laying it on pretty thick. Maybe that will bode well with Matt, maybe it won't. But I think perhaps playing a little harder to get wouldn't hurt in this kind of circumstance. Not overly so, like certain women from past seasons. But maybe she could stop with the "You're so hot! You're so cute! Kiss me right now! I want to make out with you right now!" every 1-2 minutes. Yikes! Slow your roll, girl! I can't help but wonder if Matt will like the fact that she's a tomboy and normally never wears makeup or girly clothing. She was really done up for her wedding, so he doesn't know about any of that yet. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I can't handle those busy black and white floor tiles. No way, no how. Give me a simple neutral tile (either solid color or slight wood grain) any day over that dizzying nightmare. I don't like the busy black and white tiles that have been used in some of their previous kitchen backsplashes and bathroom walls too. I like simplicity. Of the two bathrooms featured in this episode, I'd choose Tarek's over Christina's. The mirror could be easily replaced. I liked the vertical strip of blue tile in the shower, but the poster who mentioned water spots is right. That'd be a problem with any dark tile and if I were to tile a shower I'd want to stick with all lighter colors for that reason.

Thank you for posting this! I was trying, without any success, to remember that actor's name.

I think it really depends on the individual, but I got married at age 22; and I know quite a few people who’ve also gotten married right around that same age or younger. And out of all of them, only one couple divorced. That said, do I think Bekah’s ready to marry? No. And especially not to a guy fourteen years her senior. But then again, I don’t really think Arie’s ready for marriage either. I finally figured out who Krystal looks like - Laurie Holden from The Walking Dead.

S06.E00: Matchmaking Special / S06.E01: Wedding Prep

The experts love stating how “real and legally binding” these marriages are; at the same time, they also love referring to said marriages as “experiments.” Kind of contradictory, no? -

I may be wrong, but I don’t think there will be sparks flying between Jaclyn and Ryan. And how odd that they already had a Jaclyn and Ryan pairing on this show several years ago. ? -
Kendall looks and acts like Ashley Onion; they could practically be twins. Don’t get me wrong, all the women are attractive; I’m just really questioning the ages of several of them. In particular, when Lauren J appeared, I had to do a double/triple-take at her age. I’m the same age as Arie and I feel that Lauren J looks closer to my parents’ age bracket than she does to mine. Again, I’m not knocking her attractiveness at all. She just has a very mature look.

Okay, so I’m by no means a member of the David Pour Fan Club; but I actually felt badly for him when his daughter started causing a scene at his wedding. A wedding is not the time or the place to start acting rude and loud because you don’t feel that the wedding should be taking place. If you feel that strongly about it, don’t go! It’s really quite simple. If you make the choice to attend a wedding - regardless of whether or not you feel it’s a marriage that will last - you wish the bride and groom well and congratulate them. It’s not about you; it’s about the couple getting married. It really bothered me when Molly called out Andrei (“There he goes, speaking for her.”). I really don’t think Molly is in any position to call out other women’s husbands as being bossy/controlling. Just sayin.’

Two that spring to mind: the mom from Malcolm in the Middle and Jan from The Office. Can’t even pinpoint exactly why.

I’m guessing it’s a very specialized kind of formula. Probably not something you can pick up at the local grocery store or Walmart. WIC most likely wouldn’t cover that. I’d imagine that the babies were probably able to switch to a different formula within a few months of being at home. Hopefully they were able to switch to a kind that is covered by some sort of program/insurance. A thousand dollars a month on formula would be brutal!

As a mom to three boys (a high schooler, a middle schooler, and a two-year-old), I keep wondering what it would be like to have several newborns right now. Even just twins would be overwhelming at the moment! A two-year-old is a lot to deal with all by themselves. Liz and Daniel seem like really caring parents and I’m liking this show. I started panicking for them when they brought the first two babies home because that’s when the never ending feedings and diaper changings begin. And I’d imagine it’d feel like an assembly line after a while. “You” time would pretty much be a thing of the past, especially after all five are at home. And sleep - forget about it! Even with help from their parents, it’d still be a monumental task to care for all those babies and a toddler. My hat’s off to them!

Yep. My DVR recorded it. It was maybe ten to fifteen minutes long.

They took out the wall between the kitchen and dining room. Then they added a peninsula area where the wall used to be. Because they needed more cabinets, it appears that they went and bought some basic ones that don’t match the existing cabinets. And apparently they haven’t yet gotten around to painting them white.

Heh. I'm an Amber Lynn, myself. Coincidentally, I went to school with an Amber Jean. I've never known an Ember; though I once had an aunt ask me (while at my own birthday party, if memory serves) if my name is spelled with an "E". That was probably 25+ years ago and I still remember it clear as day. Does anyone here watch Outdaughtered? In a recent episode Danielle and Adam met up with a pastor. The pastor introduced his wife and baby son. The son's name? Denim. I was wondering if I really heard it correctly and had to go back and watch that part again. Sure enough, Denim. Maybe they took some inspiration from that? Ah, who knows; but I suppose it's as good of a theory as any.

I saw that. First of all, I don't like tattoos at all. But that aside, the first thing I thought of is that "Always" is the name of a feminine hygiene brand. And I would forever associate a tattoo that says "Always" with said brand. But hey, maybe that's just me.

Exactly! Who on earth pays that much money for a basic onesie that a baby will outgrow in three months? I think even $15 would be extremely expensive for a onesie with writing on it; $25, crazy talk!

The more I think about it, the more I think that their baby won't have red hair. According to what I've read, red hair is recessive. And I can't tell for certain if Jeremy's hair is considered brown or dark blond (blond would also be recessive), but it looks brown to me. If that's the case then I'd imagine that he would need to carry a recessive red hair gene in order for their child to have red hair. *shrug*
