Christmas in July has been around since I was a kid. I'm 50 and I think the sales started in hobby shops.

I only go outside if I have chores to do or take the dog out. Yesterday I went grocery shopping. Today I went to the Kitchenaid pop up shop.

I took swimming lessons at the local park that had an indoor swimming pool. They started in January and one week I had a cold and didn’t want to go in the water, but my brother wouldn't go in unless I did, so I did and I got a little sicker after that. I went roller skating and ice-skating once with the Girl Scouts. Roller skating ended up with falling down on a wheel. And Ice skating I rode around the wall. Until I had to go around a group of people hogging the wall.

My grandmother had a carpet in the bathroom, it was removable so she could mop the tile floor beneath it.

I just have to say, Jack Kent Cooke was the type of owner I liked, was his personal life messy, yes, but he was fun. I never got the same feeling for the Snyders.

I loved playing with my brothers Matchbox cars. Until he decided he wanted to attempt to make them transformer cars using a hammer.

Well that's a lot better then living in a brown paper bag.

Besides having Barbie and 1 1/2 Ken dolls, I also had Theresa (Brown haired friend of Barbie) and Skipper. I carried them all around in a brown paper grocery bag with all their clothes in there also. If I knew my cousin's were going to be at my grandmother's house on Sunday, I would bring it along and play with all of us in front of the front door. There's a picture of this somewhere.

I honestly don't remember. I think I may have had a tug of war with my brother.

I had more then one, but then my main Ken had no lower body.

When I went to school, we got out late June and started the day after Labor Day. When I moved to Florida, they started the beginning of August and got out in early May. They once had to make a law after one school district started back in late July, saying school was allowed to start before August 1st.

As a fan of the Reds, Os and Nationals, enjoy the good times when they come around, because it will eventually get better.

Where I live, we only have PO Box delivery from the post office. When we put local mail in the box, it goes to a town 2 hours away and then sent back. So that is a possibility round here.

I'm jazzed, all three of my teams won today. Now because of that one of those teams is guaranteed 1st place over the all star break.

My neighbor in Florida used to cut his grass at 6 am. My father said it was because he once had skin cancer and to leave him be. Easy for him, he slept on the other side of the house.

If the bills are utility, you can check your local walmart or grocery store and see if they have an option to pay it there.

I believe when the former president installed DeJoy as postmaster general, the latter slowed down all the mail, even first class to save money.
