  1. If you watch closely in slo mo, you will see a lot of catchers flinch when the ball is hit.
  2. I think they will, because celebrating before might make them forfeit the game, or have a very sloppy game ;-P
  3. I was gonna root last night for the Yankees over my 2nd favorite AL east team (thanks to NKOTB), but then realized this morning that would put them close to first place, so not gonna happen. Oh and if the Rays would just fail at playing ball, that would be great right about now.
  4. Thanks and sorry for the misspelling.
  5. I love that the Nationals are 10 games up on the 2nd place team in the NL East. Can an Astros fan tell me why they are getting rid of Towel's Hill next year, I think it's unique and want to see the Nationals play it next year.
  6. I was told once, I think in this thread that the Cubs and Cardinals didn't want to be in the West at the time. (shrugs) makes no sense to me(shrugs)
  7. Actually it aired live before the game from 5-7
  8. Joe Maddon of the Cubs did that a few weeks back and his LF/Pitcher made a pretty good catch while he was in LF. In fact Maddon has done that a few times. It's allowed, if you stay in the game. If you leave the game then you are done.
  9. Plus she was in Nationwide Insurance commercials where, she would go behind burglers and replace stuff all cat girl like.
  10. Ooh the Marlins lost, the Reds won, the Yankees lost so overall good day even though the Mets are looking like winners tonight. Can't have everything perfect.
  11. I just think ESPN likes to screw with the teams at all cost, that is the only explanation for me anyway. _______________________________________________________________________________ Did someone tell the Mets fans the Subway was closing at 10:15 or something, they are leaving a most excellent game. Oh and the Yankees are losing also. This day is awesome.
  12. ESPN basically screwed both teams with the Sunday night game. The Nats have a 4 pm game on Monday. And I prefer the Mets to be more tired so my Reds can beat them. (The Reds were my first NL team so I like to see them do well)
  13. @King of Birds I think it's tied with Opening Weekend Sunday when there were 4 games before Opening Day
  14. It's 6 - 9 -73 Date of birth, but I'm a Nats/Orioles/Reds fan so I just dislike all NY teams. (and in case of the NYY, the deceased owner is the primary cause of dislike)
  15. LOL I put that out there, neither team scored until the eighth inning. Maybe they will tire each other out and split the series.
  16. (God Forgive Me) Let's Go Mets (tonight anyway) Now I'm running out of the room screaming like a banshee.
  17. She said that wasn't true a couple days ago on twitter.
  18. You a day is good when the Yankees and Mets both lose. Oh Reds did you have to score all those runs yesterday? Karma is biting you today. And hey Nationals if you have an advertiser that is closed on Sunday it is quite unfair for you to advertise for them and make me want them.
  19. Per MLB Network so has Bryce Harper. Congrats on the Giants winning again, can you do it for the rest of the weekend, I'll be your biggest fans this weekend if you do.
  20. @King of Birds I think the Indians have a catcher Jan Gomes, that they have been using, thus one of the reasons Jonathan Lucroy didn't want to go there. Hopefully the Red Sox don't pick up Papelbon, because Boston is my 2nd favorite AL East team. Of course I don't want him on the Cubs either.
  21. That's why I don't comment as much, too much Yankees/Mets love. But at least my current favorite player played today. And we beat the Braves w/o allowing them to almost come back. And the Orioles won today, so the Giants can go back to winning tomorrow or whenever.
