  1. John Scherholz (sp) of the Braves and Bud Selig were voted into the Hall Of Fame by the Today's game committee (formerly the Veterans Committee) and The Yankees signed Matt Holliday of the Cardinals to a 1 year contract for $13 million.
  2. In fact I've read in the past in a couple magazines that he does take acting classes.
  3. @prican58 Yes to your last question I believe Lindor and Altuve are playing for Puerto Rico Francisco Cervelli is playing for Italy and a bunch of MLB Korean players are playing for Korea. ----------------------------------------------- The CBA has been agreed upon and there will be no lockout. per Ken Rosenthal and Joel Sherman
  4. Thank goodness, who needs an overrated overpriced car driving Outfielder who plays soccer in the OF.
  5. Plus one of their QB's they signed in the off season left his wallet in his car and got robbed.
  6. If there is a lockout, depending on how long it is, the World Baseball Classic could be effected, if it goes that long. What I wonder is: If there is a lockout does that effect the Fan Fests that happen in the off season. I know the Reds is coming up soon and the Nationals are also in December. ---------------------------------------- It seems the Marlins have signed Edinson Volquez (formerly of the Royals) to a two year deal. My question: Who told the Marlins they were allowed to get better?
  7. Sean Rodriguez has also signed with the Braves pending medicals
  8. I was watching MLB tonight around 6 and Ken Rosenthal was reporting that if both sides don't agree by Dec 1 the owners could vote for a work stoppage. I'm gonna be Polly Positive here and say it's just wispy smoke and it won't happen.
  9. Yeah, the tweet was shown up thread a couple of days ago. I thought the whole tweet storm she had was funny.
  10. Too bad she was in Rome, otherwise she could have watched MLB Network and they would have told her who didn't have him on the ballot. In case anyone was wondering they were: Fred Goodall from AP-Tampa & Bill Chastain from MLB.com-Tampa
  11. I figured Joe would win because Dave and Dusty would split the vote.
  12. Corey Seager was voted Rookie of the Year. (NL) Michael Fulmer was voted AL Rookie of the Year
  13. yeah, I was watching on MLB Network. 3 of my main guys won also.
  14. I think Salvy just got a Silver Slugger also @rallymantis
  15. Yes, Kyle Scwarber was also a guest this morning. Then He appeared on every MLB Network show after it.
  16. Voting for that ends Nov 11 so if you want to see what it is all about: mlb.com/awards
  17. The MLB Esurance awards were done last year and they consist of fan voting on MLB.com. I think the voting is closed now. It consists of best pitcher, best play best fan catch or moment. It's more or less the People's Choice award for MLB.
  18. I think so too, even though I'm a Nationals fan, I think Dusty and Dave are gonna split some votes.
  19. I think Expos/Nats is at 50 years. I think I saw something like that roll through my twitter timeline around the time the LDS' were starting up. But I think the thing of it is, Washington baseball has been to the WS but I think the Senators/Twins sort of own that. So between Senators2/Rangers and Expos/Nationals it's very convoluted and there may be an algorhythm or two involved.
  20. No, I don't think so. Even if you have a carrier, it's not always guaranteed.
  21. maybe they were going to a Matinee, they have those right?
  22. The Cubs theme song, stupid and catchy as hell Go Cubs Go I think written by Eddie Vedder.
  23. Who's Ernie, I thought the other guy was Marv Albert's brother. I agree with Cal, he's a keeper. Ron on the other hand I can take or leave depending on his viewpoint that day. (His Mets bias is deep)
  24. Actually no we are stuck with Pete and ARod like we are stuck with Joe Buck
  25. Not really, but it is the Dodgers and they used to play in NY. So basically what I am saying is ask an older Yankee fan and see if they would approve. Now that I think about it, I think it was talked about on Intentional Talk. I think Chris Rose mentioned that would be a cool first pitch with him coming out from the Bullpen to Wild Thing.
