The key word is Anglicized, meaning the spelling was changed to reflect the rules of the English language or to make it sound more "anglo". For example, the family name "Durocher" is anglicized from the French "du Rocher". Contrast that with the Italian family name "D'Agostino" which was not Anglicized to "Dagostino". The name C'Andre tries to mimic O'Donnell or D'Agostino. And the girl in the video, I don't know what language she's talking about where the an apostrophe or an accent mark at the end of the word will make a 'j ' sound like a 'y' and an 'e' like an 'i'. (tGrowing up, I never liked being named after a region in Italy, but I'm happy my parents named me Emilia and not M'ilyah because the former is easier to spell than the latter.)

If I hadn't watched a documentary on PBS about hairstylist competitions, I never would have believed those things existed and how much work/practice the stylists do in preparation for those competitions. Anyhow, I think JJ was abusive during that case because she made us watch the video not a-once, but a-twice! I don't know what was worse, the plaintiff's not-haute couture or the defendant's drag queen gear (at least he was clean shaven...drag queens with five o'clock shadows are too, too much!)

Her education, talent and family background is why she's losing it. She has everything that's supposed to make someone successful. It did....and it didn't. After leaving Empire, she should have been the one who could rebound and get a job. But she didn't. Some people at the end of their rope, tie a knot and hang on and try to climb back up. Some people don't. And I think that has more do to with personality than it does with the amount of formal education or money one has. I think Lee Daniels' message is that it doesn't matter if you have a degree from the Ivy League or a GED, what is that you have the inner fire/desire to work for and to keep what you want. And if you have to start over, stoke that inner fire and rebuild.

I saw that repeat too. Sociopathic psychologist wannabe lied that Officer Kang called him stupid and filed a false report against Officer Kang. I loved the shades of red he turned when the voice recording was played back and when JJ asked him where in the conversation did Officer Kang call him stupid. He showed his special snowflakyness during the halterview when he wimpered Officer Kang made him feel stupid. Awwwww.....poor baby. I wonder if he filed a complaint against JJ for making him feel stupid too.

I knew people collected PEZ containers. But I had n.o. idea that they had them silver plated. Makes me wonder if people silver plate Hershey's Kisses too. I like to call that case Amityville Horrible because she was from Amityville, Longgh Island. I had a feeling bun-girl was perpetual bitch face. I began looking for her after the brief discussion earlier this year. Repeat last night was the dog foster mom who was suing the 401K dog rescue society for money she spent on foster doggie. Foster mom got paid $50/week for foster doggie and never signed the adoption papers. In the end, foster mom walked out of court, as JJ chided her for caring more about the $50/week than she did about foster doggie and ordered foster doggie to go back to the rescue society.

Something tells me that it's three years later but the plot won't move beyond where we've left off.

Didn't JJ ask Designer Fraud for PayPal/eBay documentation that the watch was destroyed/confiscated and he couldn't provide it? I seem to remember that.

Just have to say this...I finished the carpool run early because the kids followed my instructions of not dilly-dallying around getting into and out of my car. Got the boys into the house, gave them their snack, got them upstairs and out of my kitchen. I tied on my apron. Got the stuff out of the fridge and the pans out of the cupboard. Flipped on the tv to JJ and.... :-( And the cases were new too: sparks between neighbors, my money or my dress, and Romeo tells his story
