I just saw horrible news - they are moving Jeopardy to 330 pm in the Washington DC area. Do they think people don’t work during the day anymore?
-
Heh. Not that I’ve been thinking about this for 18 years, but my original idea was we’d all play against each other and the last two left would play against Ken again.

We are getting close to the 20th anniversary (just 2 years away) so hope isn’t totally gone.

I know I’m feeling sorry for myself but the second chances tournament is bugging the hell out of me. When do I get a second chance - where’s the KenVictims tournament?

Sigh. They really had to end the season with a clue about that bastard Izaak Walton.

Its official announcement. Damn. Were they not paying attention? She's getting worse as host.

After two episodes where I got FJ and none of the contestants didn't get it, I missed last night. And grr- Eeyore is my spirit animal.

One can never read too many British mysteries as a kid.

4/5!! Curse you soybeans preventing a perfect week.

It took me a few seconds but I did get FJ!
-
It took me a second for FJ because while I know the neighborhood I never think of Ford’s Theatre with that adjective. But nothing else that’s a historic site is that close to the Hoover Building (if you are talking yards away)

Very weird episode for the famous 33 one - I'm hoping that they knew when they made it that there was going to be another season. Especially since he hasn't bought The Car yet (I still think that's going to be the final scene of the series). Another Terry Pratchett shout out - Nobbs! And, apparently, one of the names on the guest list was Colin Dexter.

ABC news broke in right before FJ so I had to look it up online…but I did get it right. Duke of Wellington?! And there are 2 President George Bushs. She should have been told to give more info.

Even though the 1969 should have told me immediately it was Sesame Street, it never occurred to me. I guessed The Monkees - maybe Davy Jones wrote a D. No one knew Harvey Fierstein! Not a great way to end Gay Pride month.

Masterpiece Theatre article on all the Inspector Morse books. If you aren't sure about watching the original series, I really love the books. Heh, I took an Morse walking tour of Oxford once and I think I startled the tour guide in that I had also read all the books. Cool thing - she actually was a neighbor of Colin Dexter.

They also blurred a naked bum.

Aw, no one knew Pre-Raphaelites. And I'm pretty sure Mayim pronounced it incorrectly.

There's a just announced January 6th Committee hearing tomorrow so we might see more Rachel this week. I like Alex so I'm happy with our new Tuesday-Friday host.

And, at the end, he had good relationships with people - Robbie Lewis and the woman he was dating who got him to admit his first name. And Strange. One of his final acts was to protect Strange. I don't know if i was just tired or that was confusing last night. I thought it was the young creepy cab driver. Because he was damn creepy. Terry Pratchett shoutout! Cable Street! And the porn kind of amused me because old Morse loved porn movies (at least book Morse did in the early books). There is a British mystery series where the heroine is named Thursday Next
