Is it possible that this guy is not some new character but rather a recast of the role Phillip II? I ask that simply because I heard someone on yesterday's (US) show mention Phillip together, with Chance. The last reference to Phillip was when it was mentioned in passing that Chance was out of WitSec and the two of them went off trekking into the Himalayas. Frankly, it would make a lot of sense that the two of them sorted out that Katherine's will was more than just a little hinky. The two of them are the only actual Chancellor-named heirs, all the others being Katherine's descendants. I've always believed that there was something totally off with that crap and it was never intended to go down that way, but JFP reworked something that one of the show's writers intended. I might be able to shrug off Katherine having brushed off Brock and Mackenzie because they weren't materialistic, but damn Brock's church and Mac's missionary work at that time might benefited from cash from an inheritance.

Respectfully, I just gotta disagree with you on this. Nobody has been as wooden as Burton (though Morrow is running a really close race). I just feel the writing has left minimal room for MG to be nuanced; however, when he is interacting with the little boy who is now playing Connor, he shines. And he's great interacting with Sharon Case. Apparently, offscreen as well.

I don't remember whether I asked this previously, but whatever happened with the (purportedly confirmed) announcements on Twitter and elsewhere that Mishael Morgan and Jessica Collins were coming back to the show? That was well over a month or so ago and now, crickets. Did that become dead in the water when CBS decided to get rid of Angelica McDaniel, or was it all just so much spumor?

The way they're writing for Billy's character right now, I wouldn't be surprised to see JT getting the heave-ho soon. It really seems that he's verging on a psychological breakdown and he might do what he's done in the past. He may leave GC in a similar manner that he did when he was married to Victoria after the gambling debacle in which she was kidnapped. That was when he was drugged and raped by Chelsea. I believe BM was on a short leave from Y&R in order to film American Sniper or somesuch. It wouldn't be unreasonable to think that when Billy returns, BM is playing him.

I'm skeptical that anyone else is actually doing the gaslighting. I think it's all in his mind and that mind needs some pretty intensive therapy stat. I think it's a combination of Chloe's charge to him that she believed he needed to "fix this" (or words to that effect), with the fix being Billy killing Adam as punishment for Delia's death (which, in itself is straight up psychopathic). He's also carrying around a great deal of personal guilt because he was the one who left his daughter alone in the car at night with her runaway pup who lived up to his name. If Delia had been in the store with Billy, this wouldn't have happened that night.

I don't care one way or another about Anita because she isn't in the thick of things driving story. She's, at best, a cameo player. She makes an appearance occasionally, usually as a sounding board for Chelsea, and those scenes are just sporadic. She is inconsequential to the storylines. I just don't think she's important enough in the context of things for folks to get so worked up about. I am peeved about Gloria's absence though. She needs to be back in the mix now, especially since Kevin and Chloe are back on (I guess Chloe's back, but I guess the 'back' is back in Portland). So was EH's appearance last week just a one off? Anyway, Gloria would be great to just watch her going after Phyllis and driving Michael, Kevin and Lauren nuts.

No. He was ruled dead by the coroner's office based on DNA evidence and some fragmentary human remains ruled Adam's. He was legally dead at the time Chelsea married so the marriage and adoption are legal. That marriage would stand. That said, Adam being discovered alive would present some legal hurdles for him. First of all, he'd likely be investigated and prosecuted for faking his death, if indeed he did that. His explanation was that he was blown out of the cabin or something like that and he wound up on a westbound train somehow and he doesn't remember how that came to be. He's said he had amnesia, but who knows? If not prosecuted, at a minimum he would have to reestablish his identity, get new social security numbers, etc., inasmuch as the social security administration would have demised his identity number within their system based on the death certificate issued by the county. Any other identity cards such as passports or drivers licenses, etc. would have also been demised simultaneously. Any financial accounts would have been handled within the probate system regardless of whether he had a will or not. Chelsea would have benefited as his widow, along with their son Connor.

Okay, Canadians! On Soap Central they're speculating that Chance is back and he was the one who tipped off Victor about Adam being alive and they has also given Phyllis some inside scoop on what Adam was up to in Vegas before Victor discovered him there. Actually on SOC it's contained in a spoiler thread. Is this true? We know Chance is alive and supposedly in WITSEC, but occasionally works undercover for the Feds.

Oh, I agree, Valley! I saw her in the movie Double Jeopardy. The only difference in her *performance* as Suzanne (basically one scene, one line), was that she had a southern accent (a rather poor one I might add). For better or worse, GT did a better job as Phyllis, especially at first. She was nuanced then, but that was before the producers/writers decided the character had to go back to the old default setting. You all know the one: basically Norma Desmond Does Jazz Hands.

You know, it's getting so that every time EB starts braying about his "big" storyline, you can pretty well bet that it's going to involve his near death from somethin'. His last death defying maneuver was a one-and-a-half gainer from the top of the Raunch stairs. And wasn't that last summer about this time? Oh, well. It's not like they can have him parachuting out of Cessnas over Canada in the middle of the night any more.

He wasn't "whiny" because he wasn't written that way. JFP/Pratt went out of their way to essentially create new character. Frankly, I never liked him. Oh, I like JH well enough, but he wasn't playing the character that had been previously created. JH's "Adam" was a new creation. They de-fanged him and put one of Chelsea's handbags in his hands.
