  1. Those scenes where flashbacks to Season Three.
  2. Yes, he will pull a Molly Cobb and go out like a hero. I really like Ed while still recognizing his many flaws.
  3. It pains me to say this, but since the first episode this season of FAM has lacked the tense space action, dangerous rescues, and missions going Pear-Shaped in spectacular ways that is a large part of what makes this show sing. Miles falling off a rock ledge in Mars gravity is hardly the thing they make movies and statues over.
  4. As much as I hated Danny back in Season Three, the flashback scenes were rough. I still don't get why Phoenix couldn't have done sort of supply drop. I was wondering about Alex's health issues. There must be more than one Mars Baby by now considering the growing population of Happy Valley. As I mentioned a few episodes back, the condoms are one of the few things that are free. Even the most micro-managing government agency or corporation knows that ordering people not to have sex is impossible. I wonder how much Mars jewellery is counterfeit.

  6. So the satellite carries both email, vid-mails and TV Signals, so the game was broadcast that way? On the topic of TV, I want to know more about what the popular TV Shows of the FAM 00's would look like. There is already a reality show called Moon Miners, which makes sense. As an example, my favorite show of the 00's was 24. In the FAMverse, would this show had be as popular without the events of 9/11, or would 24 had found another way to tap into the mood of the era? Would Jack Bauer spend the day thwarting a terrorist attack on the Moon? Because I would watch that show.
  7. Yet once the satellite was fixed they were able to stream a whole soccer game, although obviously not in real time. I’m assuming Happy Valley has a good DVD collection for movies and TV. Danielle would have ordered them after her own experience rewatching the same few TV shoes on the Moon back is season one.
  8. Tarragon is a storied venue!
  9. The scene with Ontario Place made me sad as they are planning to turn part of it into a Private Spa or something. Vi is great. But I wonder why serving non-alchohloic drinks wasn't raised as a compromise. With more and more people choosing not to drink for a variety of reasons, bars have really upped their mocktail game. The Club needs to explore this if they want to stay in business. For a moment I thought we were going to get a Sort Of/Transplant Crossover episode! In answer to my earlier question, it seem that Bessy is an architect. The actress who plays Asqa is stunning.
  10. When Mars can make more stuff themselves. The Black Market is bound to implode eventually, Mars and Earth would have to set up legal trade agreements.
  11. Miles continues to be an idiot. I thought he was a goner before remembering that the gravity on Mars is lighter than Earth. Although it does require a suspension of disbelief to accept that he escaped serious injury. Good thing Sam was there to save his stupid ass. It does seem sloppy that no one noticed a rover went missing. I’m predicting that the series will end with Ed and/or Danielle commanding the first trip to Proxima Centuri when Ed is 100. Why smuggle porn when you have the internet? I would spend my Mars money on chocolate or decent coffee. You could get lots of porn on the web even in our 00’s. Or so I’ve been told.
  12. I'm unclear if the doctor is also the doctor for the rest of Sabi's family. In any case, there seems to be a conflict of interest. Most Family Docs with more than one patient from the same family are good at treating each member separately once the younger members of a family are past a certain age.
  13. I'm sure the Black Market on the Moon is thriving.
  14. The conditions endured by Miles and his roommates seemed equivalent to what Gordo, Ed and Dannielle contended with in the first spay in Jamestown. Only then they were noble explorers and they understood what they were getting into.
  15. Sabi showing respect to their sister and not taking her for granted was great. So is Sabi secretly transitioning from Non-Binary to Female? I can see why they would keep that a secret for as long as possible as they don't want people piling on about it. But as their doctor said, they would need support during this process. I wonder if Sabi's inheritance may have influenced their decision, I don't know what Medicare does and doesn't cover in terms of gender transitioning.
  16. The pottery scenes were quietly hilarious.
  17. With the new plasma drives Earth can now send a ship to Mars in 30 days whenever they want. IIRC it was mentioned that there are people on the “Inside” who may be fudging the ships manifest. I can see this all going sideways when an overweighted ship gets into trouble, depending on if the plasma ships launch from Earth or the Moon. Also a lot of the stuff being smuggled seems pretty light (tampons, cigars). Smuggling a whole person, even a small person (Lee’s wife for example) could prove more problematic.
  18. I could see how 7ven wanted to get away from her overbearing Mom, if that's where she was living prior to moving in with Sabi. (CMIIW) I know this is a delicate question, but since Asqa didn't seem thrilled about being pregnant, did she consider ending the pregnancy without telling her Mom? Access to abortion isn't that much of an issue in Canada, especially in a large city like Toronto. Considering how forthright, unfussy and unpreachy Sort Of is about confronting other issues, this seemed like a weird omission.
  19. I use cash at a Farmer's Market, but many of the vendors there have tap. I can see how cash is useful in a black-market situation, as it can't be traced.
  20. I think that random woman with the surfboard will show up later. Do people surf at night?
  21. Not the greatest episode, the only part I found compelling was Margo's ordeal. I was terrified for her. Wrenn Schmidt really brought it. Isn't Kelly's prototype the intellectual property of NASA? Then how could Kelly and Aleida shop it around? I wanted those two to go to Canada for some reason.
  22. News! https://gizmodo.com/karate-kid-movie-2024-ralph-macchio-jackie-chan-sony-1851039070 I never saw the 2010 reboot. At the time my Sensei was incensed, saying that his Yellow Belts were better than Jaden Smith.
  23. Wow. I know what I'm doing tonight! Is this a regular thing for the rest of this season? Or is it because of American Thanksgiving? The other Apple show I’m watching right now is Lessons in Chemistry and a new episode of that show dropped early too.
