I'm watching the new show On Becoming A God In Central Florida and the story is based in a cultlike Amway-style multilevel marketing scheme that preys on poor but hardworking people... I sure hope none of those nuts find Caesar or he'll be a new Independent Business Owner. He's just a sucker. I start to feel bad for him. BUT then I think about all the lovely women his age who might have imperfect skin or a few extra pounds and probably show interest in him when they come into the salon, but he thinks he's too good for them and deserves instead a statuesque Eastern-European blonde 15 years his junior that looks like she's about to tip over and speaks in emoji...

The problem with the people on this show isn't so much the age difference or difference in cultural norms, the problem is mostly that in each of these couples there's at least one asshole.

It's possible find flaws in all three of these players so even with some criticism headed Liam's way there's likely not a soul living in Laura's World. (I also think Laura's World probably reeks of coochie cream, biscuits and natural gas, but I've never visited.) Laura is easily the worst because she's no babe in the woods, she has the seasoning to know how poorly a relationship based on nothing but one-sided physical attraction can turn out and a son who she apparently treats like a therapist when it goes south. Aladin is a controlling dude- while he's winning his blonde antique-trophy wife and deciding the course of her uterus for her, he'll just as quickly disappear and block her if she talks too much for his liking. Liam is naive for sure, but also an able-bodied and able-minded adult capable of living independently. Of the 3 he's the most innocent, but I have a special shaker of salt for kids who believe their parents' money is theirs and it shouldn't be spent as they (the parents/earners) see fit. He lost me with 'If she has another baby she'll spend all her money on them."

For clarity and so everyone can sleep at night, he's never flown a helicopter.
