  1. I don’t think Kelly was living with Gary when she died. I saw an obituary that said she was a resident of NJ. The funeral and burial were also in NJ. At the end when they showed the MedicalExaminer blurb, did it say Houston Medical Examiner?
  2. I’m really liking Christian’s bluntness and proactive approach. I don’t think he would have been successful trying to copy Tim Gunn’s more cerebral approach.
  3. I’m glad Dr. Now told him upfront that he needs therapy. Too often it comes at the end of the show, when it should be the first thing these patients do.
  4. I have incredible sympathy for people in such dire circumstances. Food fills a hole in their souls, and to expect that they’ll change their attitude without a ton of psychoanalysis beforehand is unreasonable. From the beginning, Dr. Now should insist on psychoanalysis immediately at least 2 times a week for anyone looking to enter the program. It’s what we do for drug addicts, and food is just as much an addiction. But that would mean the drama would be much decreased, which is counterproductive to ratings. Jeanne was never able to change a lifetime of thinking, excusing, and conniving to get food, if she didn’t get the therapy she needed beforehand.
  5. Something tells me the apartment stuff is manufactured drama...
  6. I’m going to be a total Pollyanna and say, I think she really doesn’t look bad in comparison to some of the other people we’ve seen on this show. She’s really huge, but she must be tall—she doesn’t look to me to have the same girth as some of the other 600 lb’ers. Her clothes choice is another story...
  7. So my initial thought is that Destinee doesn’t actually appear to be 600 lbs... maybe she’s big boned?
  8. I have a question about LCK... is this the final one? Or does Eddie compete next week again with the eliminated chef? Or is he eliminated and they start anew with eliminated contestants?
  9. I’ve been meh on Dmitry for a lot of this season, but his look was just beautiful. It probably wasn’t avant-garde enough, but it was really spectacular.
  10. I actually liked the idea of Anya’s sleeves, but they would have been better if they were shorter, more flowy, and had cut outs so people could use their hands.
  11. I totally thought Adrienne was pregnant. It never really occurred to me she might have the flu or a virus.
  12. I didn’t like Dmitri’s look at first, until I saw it close up. I liked the top a lot—it had deconstructed elements that I really appreciated, and the pants looked great and well tailored.
  13. Glad Eddie won tonight. He’s been consistently excellent, finishing in the top group the last four weeks. I know that Nick Elmi isn’t everyone’s,favorite but Eddie works with Nick in Philly. Nick’s restaurants are awesome...
  14. Heh I always think of good comebacks after the fact. Dr. Now should have told her, “hey, if you jump out of this hospital window and God reaches out and saves you, I’ll approve you for weight loss surgery!” Also, part of me thinks she’s not taking down the Facebook stuff because she secretly loves the attention. Here comes another reality series! (And that would not surprise me in the least).
  15. People commented on the live post that her Facebook page showed a photo where she was quite large.... just want to point out it looked like it was taken before she went to Houston.
  16. There's an equivalent in How I Met Your Mother, with Barney getting hit by a bus. Just as shocking, but they were able to make it humorous... I guess it isn't a spoiler that Barney lives, but breaks just about everything in his body.
  17. Do we know who designed what? I read through the posts but didn't see a definitive answer.
  18. I just thought of something. We have known now that ASP knew the final four words for ahe. What if they originally were intended to be said by Lorelai and not Rory? We were never told who would say them, just what they were? And ASP changed it to Rory to fit the new story line.

    S01.E04: Fall

I didn't hear this. His IMDB shows things through 2016, but nothing more. Has he said why?

To me, those actually make the best long term marriages. All of that zing eventually dies down after a few years, and really what is left is care and friendship. Everyone I know whose in a stable marriage has the friendship thing much stronger than the pet names and kissy stuff.

I have to say I'm still digesting the episodes but I thought they were wonderful. I want to comment on Rory's education and the comments that it was wasted on her. It seems to me that in her career choice, there's a difference between writing great stories and actually strategically making choices so that you can make a living at it. She's portrayed as a wonderful writer whose career choices weren't as successful. That doesn't mean her education was wasted on her. She was lucky she was able to go to Chilton and Yale. And with writing a book, perhaps she's figured out how to "marry" the creative side with business side. Edited to add: she did seem to have a very successful freelance career. Some of those assignments were pretty plum assignments. With the state of journalism these days, I'd say she was pretty high up there in demand.
  22. The mods said I could post this link. Spoilers for the first episode. Thanks to junienmomo! https://m.reddit.com/r/GilmoreGirls/comments/5ca95j/i_ve_just_seen_the_first_episode_ama/
