  1. What did you quit? :) I don't know if it was rage, but what turned me off FiCoN for good was that ficFelicity started resembling showLaurel way more than showFelicity. There was also a choice that came off as mysogynistic in an unrelated fic.
  2. MG's comment about not having a girls' night on Arrow without Sara?
  3. I think that's something that happened on LoT, not on Arrow.
  4. She was in the public eye in late S3 - press conference about hunting down the Arrow - and presumably in S4 for her incompetent case against Darhk.
  5. She was definitely the most well known from the main trio at the conception of the show. She had a lead role on Harper's Island and Melrose Place. The latter was on CW, just as Gossip Girl, where she had a recurring role. So she put in her time with the network. But this was supposed to be her big break, I think.
  6. That is true going by all sources. I guess they sent out he casting notice before she decided on Arrow.
  7. I think I see that non-linear collection pop up on AO3 from time to time, though from what I remember it was mostly left to so-caffeinated.
  8. I'm sorry about being anal and it doesn't really change the character, but if Felicity's 17 in 2007, it means she was born in 1990. Noah must have been born in mid to late 60s in that case to be in mid 20s at the time of her birth. Also, this looks to be shaping to be as controversial as FiCoN. It's been a while. ?
  9. Possible. If that's the case, my apologies to both the author and @statsgirl, who I'm sure used the phrase to make a point. The direct quote about clandestine nature, however, still comes off as stilted, but maybe it goes along with the Noah the author has created. He's been on the show so little he can be molded pretty easily. @statsgirl mentioned it, but it's possible it's her own wording, and not quoted from the fic.
  10. Frankly, I guessed something like 1950s from the wording. Not having read one word of the fic, I imagine it's set ten years ago so Oliver and Felicity can meet again in present day after having been separated through a misunderstanding. I'll bite, why have Donna and Noah been living in sin? I swear, it's so weird to type that when I'm not talking about a period piece.
  11. Is this fic taking place in present day? Because Noah and Donna "living in sin" and that quote about the clandestine nature of O/F's relationship sound kind of dated.
  12. Was a fic updated on Thursday or is threre a fic called Thursday?
  13. When is SA's next con? And preferrably Nocking Point party. Somebody needs to get him sloshed so he spills the beans.
  14. If Oliver and Laurel had married, Oliver would have slept with at least half the bridal party. And that's a conservative estimate.
  15. I'm gonna get snooty European here, but Starbuck's does not serve coffee. I tried it once and nope, that's just liquid sugar IMO. I did like their tea though. I also noticed a thing with milk and dairy not long ago. Tried to supplement the milk in my coffee with rice milk and some other sorts, finally ended up chucking it out altogether. And ice cream went out the window by and large, I buy the lacotse free version now and then. I used to be a really big dairy person -at least a cup of milk and/or yoghurt a day, but it's not that much of a burden really.
  16. JH was definitely filming yesterday (yesterday for me, Monday, August 21) because she posted a video watching the eclipse in her BC suit. And woo, today is Tuesday - date day!
  17. Is this another pineapple pizza controversy on our hands? :) Personally, I've never tried it, but I think I'd like it because I love After Eight chocolate.
  18. I'm not sure if the person has confirmation or if they're just hopeful. Overall, I'm just grateful that there is anything not related to the big crossover coming in.
  19. It also depends on how much she's shooting for Arrow at the same time. After she first crossed over to The Flash, where she was heavily featured, she only popped up at the end of the Arrow episode. While I'm glad she's crossing over, I'd much rather take her being a bigger presence on her own show than another one.
  20. If after their sucky set up Laurel were just sweetness and light, I'd have thought there was something wrong with her. I'm glad the show failed spectacularly on that front, because I doubt I would have watched it otherwise, no matter the chemistry.
  21. Yeah, this Laurel I could have liked, but I still wouldn't have wanted her with Oliver. Why inflict a bastard who put her through that on her?
  22. In a normal set of circumstances I would not expect that sort of proposal at all, but exactly what Oliver had originally planned, quiet and intimate. This came directly after Felicity was almost gassed to death and I think that context is everything here.
