  1. I actually really appreciate this trait at times like these for the extra content we get. Bring all the con pics. ?
  2. On that I agree. What she changed into doesn't look offensive or anything, but this was just perfect for the occasion and she should have got as much mileage out of it as possible.
  3. I'll give her this. The dress is a very smart choice for this occasion and at this point in time.
  4. What is it wih the Arrow actresses? Do they understand how clothes work? What is this? At least it is not overly formal. A thought which crossed my mind after seeing her from the front.
  5. Thanks. I actually know what the actor looks like, but I didn't connect the dots in the slightest.
  6. Who are the people on the ends? Far left is dauther of one of Harrison Wells', I think? And the guy next to CP?
  7. Oliver comes home exhausted after being stuck in meetings at the city hall all day. Who ruined my chicken?!
  8. Thanks. Those sound really interesting, especially the first one. The world building seems impressive. Too bad it's not being updated. :( In chapter 1, Felicity mentions scratchy fabrics and "knickers". For all I know, the author could mean a Bridget Jones type deal. I have no idea. Plus, Noah is super rich. Buy non-scratchy underwear, Felicity! Or hey, try and go about inventing a better quality material. I'm finding it more and more that I just can't with a fic if the writer doesn't tap into Felicity's smarts. That's her defining feature to me. Plus, Oliver here really does seem interesting and I have no clue what he'd want with a ditzy chit like this.
  9. Sigh. So that's a no on continuing. Which is too bad, because as I said, Oliver holds promise in the beginning. There's the running away from responsibility as a motivating factor for getting on a boat in the past, being willing to do whatever it takes to survive and get back to his family, and the inability to assimilate when he does. If only Felicity seemed remotely Felicity-like. @TrueMyth, I absolutely agree that Felicity can work in a historical setting. It's not like brilliant women haven't existed throughout time. I'm not volunteering to take on your project, but I'll be the first in line to read it when you get around to it. ?
  10. After finishing the first chapter of A Soul Lost at Sea, I'm uncertain about continuing. Oliver's side of the story holds promise and it reflects the start of the show pretty well. Felicity's so fardoes not. She came off as a typical annoying 'spirited' brat. I think my continuing the story hinges on this - does she turn exceptional later on in the story? Because Felicity of the show is exceptional and there is no reason why that can't be adapted to another time period. There are some flickers of that, an implied thirst for knowledge, but I'm not really sure it's going to catch fire.
  11. You mean Zachary Levi? I think I remember that's not happening this year, which is too bad because it was fun. And I'm also convinced that's when the 520 elevator shaft scene was conceived.
  12. Yup, A Soul Lost at Sea is a Victorian AU. As for the spoiler tagged part, nope. It's
  13. I finally cracked and clicked on A Soul Lost at Sea. The author gave Oliver
  14. Apparently not just Arrow, because the actress playing Lena Luthor is the only one representing Supergirl. Was everyone else from those two shows simply not picking up the phone when the network decided to throw this together?
  15. While she's certainly free to go where she thinks she'll be better served, how exactly would your scenario work? Say she gets cast as a star of a show on a bigger network, chances are it's a pilot. And what percentage of pilots gets picked up? Honest question, I don't know personally, but I feel it's low. Plus a lot of shows don't make it to second season. Then there's the possibility of getting cast in a lead role on an already running show and the first person that pops to mind is Janina Gavankar, who got the role on Sleepy Hollow, which then got cancelled quickly. Either way, it seems like unprofessional behavior that comes with a slew of risks. I don't think she needs to stay if she's unhappy for whatever reason, but if and when she choses to do it, I think it would be wise to do it professionally. Still, while it seems her role is pretty unispiring, she's hardly in the toughest spot a young actress can be in.
  16. I just saw Doctor Strange and while the casting is excellent, I felt bored for the most part. The villain isn't developed at all, Rachel McAdams feels like an afterthought and I really couldn't bring myself to care about Strange who comes off as a tribute to an earlier era James Bond for a good portion of the movie to me. I enjoyed Swinton, who is the perfect choice for her role. Overall, the movie felt like a set up for its sequel more than anything else. But with this and Legion it's funny how British stars seem to be Marvel's go to guys for trippy comic book movies/shows.
  17. I'm going on they're dating and taking it very slowly and keeping it somehwat chaste in 601. The 'not tonight, but soon' thing is a sleepover in my mind at this point.
