  1. considering these writers are struggling with creativity, im also inclined towards april getting hurt/her demise. otherwise how else they can write off a toddler's mom convincingly? as Cristina would phrase it, this is Seattle Grace Mercy Death, if someone getting hurt is gonna force these docs to contemplate, you better believe that someone is dead.
  2. but shonda/krista could care less. post derek's death, they have been pushing the sisterhood/friendship agenda hard, i don't think they give 2 cents about calzona being endgame. also if meredith grey didn't got her endgame, the hell arizona robbins would. arizona sailing herself to her new opportunity with carina in tow is all what we will get as an happy ending.
  3. #GreysAnatomy has just been renewed for a record-breaking 15th season — making it ABC’s longest-running primetime drama ever. It also ties #ER as TV’s longest-running medical drama. Details: https://t.co/B8tuPfn3mV That's a massive milestone. I'm hoping for a season 16 as well, that way they would be breaking ER's record as well.
  4. Yeah I don't think a calzona reunion is on cards. My best bet here is that Arizona's exit will be open ended. Say whatever Herman is offering will be in NYC and then you will have Sofia craving NYC as well and that's it, they'll send off Arizona and Sofia to NYC and left it to viewer speculation whether a reunion happened or not. Personally I don't think a Calzona reunion will happen simply because Greys has never been about love stories. Also, isn't Geena Davis is an A-Lister? I remember Shonda once said that they wanted to rope her in for years. I'm glad that she's being brought in to wrap Arizona's sl, and of course with her entry it can be done in a justifiable way, but darn ABC, you have budget to get a costly actress on board again but not for two phenomenal actresses?!
  5. For all the years I have endured Owen's 'aching' womb, and the way he has treated the women in his life, it was just not fair to let him have a support system when it actually comes down to raising a kid. It would have made sense if he had done the whole thing alone. Oh my, I was kind of sure about Harper Avery being a predator as well. I don't know if the award to his name holds any importance now. But when everything boils down in the end, I hope we don't see our precious docs saving that rat's name just to save hospital's reputation. Yay for the Cristina mention. So, April dose knows about Jackson and Maggie now, plus she's seeing someone, I bet that's Mathew. Jo doing the surgery as a lead was so refreshing to watch, I hope we see more solo surgeries with her. Poor Deluca, I still think him and Maggie can be a better pairing than Jackson and Maggie. Alex and Arizona were my fav in this episode, considering them being high was an appropriate mix of comic and seriousness both. Alex describing his foster families made me tear up. Also I can't wait to see him as a dad someday. He'll be such an amazing parent. Hmm high Arizona talking about Callie made me feel all sorts of mush. She clearly has got abandonment issues and anyone at her place would have them. I'm still sceptical about her and Carina as a pair. But I was equally relived when Carina sought her out at the end. At the end of the day, I just want someone for Arizona, who prioritizes her and treats her right. After tonight's episode, I feel like this contest's winner will be Meredith & Jo as Bailey already has her funding from somewhere else, Arizona is just pleased that she found a solution to maternal mortality, Webber's study got his moment of light as well, so it's definitely them.
  6. The vile hatred is being thrown at Sarah and Jessica as well. Ellen has call this crap on herself, her behaviour surrounding the issue has been questionable to say the least. Even after being let go, Sarah and Jessica have maintained grace. This is a tit and tat situation, I'm sure ABC & Shondaland are just glad that there show is being talked about in sweeps season is all. I remember during Patrick's departure, Ellen got the wrath because she said that if Scandal and HTGAWM have solo female leads, why can't Greys have the same. Feminism and all. It isn't the issue that's get spinned to blame Ellen'. It's her reaction that sets things going.
  7. Obviously there's some behind the scene drama here that's being glossed over 'the don't blame Ellen' trope. I would at least expect Justin Chambers (I consider him the most unbiased one + equally close Jessica and Ellen) to show some support for Ellen if she was not to be blamed here to any degree. But instead his support was and has been towards Jessica. Secondly, Jessica, Camilla and Ellen were more so of an clique. Even that has died. Thirdly, Christopher Gavigan also tweeted an article that was more or less based on fan theories surrounding the issue. There's been sly dig from Jessica and Sarah with respect to representation and equality which is pretty much telling that they have been treated unfairly and there's no fair play here. As for viewers drop, I agree, Greys is seasoned show, even at its lowest it's still higher than most of the dramas on tv. But if you look into the popularity of a show with respect to social media, which I consider to be important or otherwise you won't have the TPTB making sure people talk about their shows or their show trends during live telecast - then it all stemmed from the calzona and japril and merder fandoms. Again social status is important in its own way, The Big Bang Theory never gets social media attention but is the most successful show viewer wise. To some extent, this social status is what brings in the international deals imo. Ellen might not be the one to blame here, but she could have done better. Instead of defending her pay raise, she should have just simply stated that she despise the idea of two powerful characters being written off. That's it. That's all what was required from her. The problem here is not her pay raise, it's the fact that she herself said that Patrick Dempsey never supported her in getting paid equal or higher - and it makes you wonder whether if Ellen herself supported these two actors in negotiations - and when you see her acting all mighty, you automatically conclude that she didn't. Jessica and Sarah's departure will be overcame eventually. That's a no brainier, but you have to allow their fans to grieve and be angry at whoever they want, instead of making this whole debacle about Ellen's pay raise. Ellen brought it upon herself.
  8. well I do hope we get to see Alex's mom at least, but I'm sceptical as IMDb hasn't got any guest listing for the same, neither does the press release.
  9. not sure if we will be getting anyone from alex's family but I hope they do provide us with some info-dumps. I'm more of a fan of mid season weddings (ex calzona, crowen, japril) as usually there are so many arcs that need to be covered (or to be left at a cliffhanger) during a season's end that besides the wedding ceremony, everything else looks more like a wastage of potential screen time. If it would have been a mid-season wedding I would have loved for Alex's mom and his siblings to show up just like April's did.... it's a bummer that jolex would be getting a season ending wedding. I don't think it will settle well with fans if way too much of screen time is wasted on Alex's family when they would be more eager to see what's in store for Arizona and April.
  10. it looks more and more like they would kill off April. debbie posted a pic today with Jessica and justin and while their dress isnt visible but still the makeup looks for a big event. Now maybe april isn't that close to alex or jo but still I think they would follow the ambulance because it's a co doctor.
  11. #GreysAnatomy filmed on a yacht on Apr. 11 for the season finale. Cast was all dressed up.  In the vid: Ellen Pompeo, Justin Chambers, James Pickens, Kelly McCreary, Caterina Scorsone, Camilla Luddington, Giacomo Gianniotti, "interns," director Debbie Allen, writer Krista Vernoff + #GreysAnatomy on location for the season finale (ep 14.24) at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood (Apr. 12)  - wedding guests outside, ambulance leaves the church and it's followed by a white limo source : jchambersonline so maybe a wedding and a funeral both?
  12. This was posted on Facebook https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=983796561797222&id=588932101283672 . That's definitely Camilla in a white dress and all. Jolex wedding it is. ? A beach wedding no less.
  13. But it's like most people in the cast are up for location shoot, so unless it's a wedding or funeral, I don't think there could be any other reason for the entire cast to be present. There's a wedding, if it is not for jolex, then maybe for someone else, a patient? Maybe it's a throwback episode.
  14. but jesse is not leaving so I don't know if they will kill off Jackson. Besides I don't think Greys will go that far of sending 3 major characters out.
  15. anything would be better than a church wedding imo, even a court ceremony but I do think the wedding would be more about Jo than Alex so yeah, I can see them doing a big event.
  16. They have casted Jim Pickens daughter for the finale episode, maybe this whole thing with Harper Avery is that Catherine had an illicit daughter as well? As for the church filming thing, if jolex get an church wedding, that would seriously remind me of izzex wedding. They should do something simpler.
  17. I still don't understand what purpose Kimmie's arc served for Alex? I was hoping we will get an anvil where Alex will mention why he was so concerned about this particular patient but of course we didn't got any. I liked that Arizona's solution to curb Maternal mortality got some semblance to reality - hemorrhage cart are different from general crash carts and have been proved to be life savers. Greys medical Twitter handle even tweeted from where they got the reference from. I'm just glad that this storyline was addressed because US definitely have a high numbers of mother's dying from post-partum hemorrhage. Will they go ahead with Mathew and April though? I'm sceptical. And seeing in how much pain that poor guy is, April should not start something she is not invested in. Carina mentioning that she's glad that she doesn't have kid should have been enough for Arizona to take a step back and revaluate their fling. I guess there's more of that coming - I'm just not sure if want to see the rest of Arizona's sl to be wasted on wrapping up a fling though. Jo made me laugh, I didn't even knew dreamer interns name till this episode for me to be worried with her leaving. Glad they didn't killed her off though. Her send off to Zurich makes me wonder what Shane is up to there lol. Maybe if they want to push Jackson and Maggie on us, they should probably refrain form them mentioning Richard and Catherine as 'our parents'.... Harper Avery obviously did something bad, that's pro why next episodes name is bad reputation. Side note - when you show two of Meredith's kid, how about you mention where the third one is. specifically when the third one is the adopted one.
  18. they had table read for finale few days ago and are shooting till 25th. I am just gonna take a wild guess here and predict that the finale probably have 1 or 2 arizona scene. It's looking more and more clearer that, the finale would not be Arizona-April heavy.
  19. didn't owen found some proof online first to go after the bad doc? I don't remember what exactly he showed to arizona but he did said 'guess who's not a member' or something. He can use the same to call the cops on the bad doc I suppose. that wasn't realistic at all imho.
  20. I loved the Arizona Owen dynamic with the fake cancer sl. This happens so much these days and I actually appreciate the fact that Greys threw some light that way. Jessica is a gem when it comes to delivering a myriads of emotions in a single episode. Kudos to Arizona to make Owen bearable for a change. I kind of like it when old patients reoccur, so seeing the pregnant lady Arizona helped deliver with her fiance was actually cool. Not to mention it was a same-sex couple so I just enjoyed their progressive dynamics. Glad that April find some semblance for herself. That Jackson praising was unnecessary and not required at all but I guess it was to emphasise that how great of a dad Jackson is and how he can handle Harriet all by himself. Ookay Greys ookay. Looking at the promotional photos, it looks like few scenes got cut and of course Jolex got the short end of the stick. Nope I didn't needed one more scene declaring Meredith's surgical skills but whatever. I'll never understand why these writers always show Alex as violent and aggressive just to show his 'caring for patient' nature? Why they always throw his character development to trash. How is his behaviour ever justified when his fiance is a domestic violence victim herself? Ugh Krista this is not season 1. Maggie's reaction to April's info dump was funny for me. Like april clearly said 'she' jumped her ex and not the other way around, why was it bothering for her anyways? Ben & Bailey the only couple that will survive Shondaland. Yep.
  21. i think the incest angle comes from the same direction from which the sisterhood angle comes. maggie accepts meredith as her sister because she considers ellis as her birth mother. now she just can't choose to be a 'pierce' when it comes to richard. now for me the problem with jaggie pairing is simply that maggie deserves better than jackson (i am not japril fan and I'll probably always side eye jackson for the way he treated stephanie....now she wasn't my fav character either but that's just not how you treat people). i was always against maggie being stupidly inserted into the meredith nathan romance and her being treated the same way again is a big turn off. if you need a love interest for her, put her with deluca. now that pairing was fun.
  22. Sarah Utterback is reprising her role as Nurse Olivia from season 1. - Nurse Olivia is the infamous nurse who got syph from Alex and later passed it on to George.
  23. is it series low as some media outlets are claiming? Any particular reason for the dip?
