  1. I don't have any words. for me, krista stepping in as show runner (with lack of understanding of characters true course) is a disservice to fans who have dedicated years to this show. no wonder this season has been so all over the place.
  2. Parent trap much. Lol she probably bounded by some contract in NY maybe? They should have thrown a line about that.
  3. I'll start with Calzona. For someone who has invested years in loving Calzona, this was the best possible endgame scenario I could ask for. While the scenario is open ended, I love that it is not rushed. The beauty of calzona lies in their history and I kind of loved that not everything was just erased, it was just about moving past it and feel those butterflies again. I had forgotten what an power boom sara ramirez's voice is. I had goose bumps throughout that ending scene. Bless that lady's voice. Jolex got the sort of wedding I always imagined they will get. The big fancy wedding was never their thing. I liked the humour around it and Justin and Camilla played in beautifully. I was kind of bummed about how much Meredith thinks she 'owns' Alex but was relived when she came around and understood that she was being selfish. On other hand I liked Arizona giving the pep talk to Alex and their sort of good bye scene. While I'm done with Deluca be all sobby about Sam, I just love Helms and her crush on Meredith. It's just so funny. Nothing can ever convince me that Owen Hunt deserves any woman his life and so therefore of course he will get two. I liked his scenes with Leo, he makes an adorable dad but how about we draw a line just there. Why Greys have this dying need to throw powerful women after powerful women at his character to showcase his manpain? Ugh. This would be a sl I'm so not looking forward to next season. (Also what's the point of getting rid of two characters and bringing in one more?) April and Matthew, it couldn't have been more out of place. They could have just shown them starting to like each other or even falling a little for each other but nope they had to go for an full blown wedding (and that too with Jackson's blessings). Also, really? Nothing lavishing career wise for April either? That's just character disservice at some whole new level. Even when Teddy left, she got a Head position in MEDCOM, and literally nothing for April? I'll be bummed over this for forever. Bonus points to Greys for putting Sofia and Zola as flower girls. Those two were so adorable in that yellow dress. All in all I loved the cast pouring their love for Jessica and Sarah. Saw an video from table read where everyone were crying and there were so many BTS pics by everyone that i am some where content knowing that Jessica and Sarah left the studios knowing they are loved, respected and cherished.
  4. alex and Jo sneaking in a quickie reminded me of Charlotte and cooper doing the same in PP. krista's lack of creativity is showing lol.
  5. also her husband has a business of his own along with the lecturer gig as well. it might not be as big as gavigan's but it's a steady source. no one's gonna end up broke here lol
  6. it was too soon to have the reboot of the show anyways. everyone know CBS doesn't usually favours female led drama. I'm surprised that Madam Secretary actually got another season. Sarah has a movie release due in October this year. She's talented, and hopefully cast in something amazing soon. Bummer that both the actresses missed this year's pilot season though...
  7. I think most of the time greys time jumps don't settle well because while it props one story, the other stories look all over the places. Like if months have passed since the weed episode, why jackson and Jo are still talking about settlement? Was Leo's mom living on road all this while? Why is Arizona giving notice just now if Sofia is been miserable on months end now?... And we basically have to just conjure up the answers ourselves....
  8. sorry I can't recall the character name. the junkie kid amelia is mentoring...
  9. For someone who was thinking that April will end up with some physical damage, I'm glad she is gonna make it out alive. And now I feel like this arc of trauma/April's last arc did'nt served any big purpose? like the whole matthew revelation could have done in a much nicer way? If anything this just propped maggie as an character.... anyways that was some great acting by jesse williams, geena davis, jessica capshaw and sarah drew. jackson's connection/emotions with/for april can never be written as an 'just friendship' no matter how much they give it a mapril/jaggie spin. I almost meted at all the jackson and harriet scenes and I hope we continue to see more of that next season. I LOVED all the Herman - Arizona scenes. I love that she's still snarky. I love that Arizona is getting a whole damn hospital to her name. Props to Krista for giving Arizona an exit that's so respectful of the character and the talent. Also I am glad Arizona's research will also get recognition as well and that too to her name. Geena Davis is such a treat to watch. No offence to the actress, but meredith looked out of loop with her emotions for april. there's just so much gap between the characters themselves that it all looked forced. Not to mention when meredith ran and cried in front of alex, i had to stop myself from not laughing. But then the ending scene rolled in, and there was ferry boat scrub cap being placed over merder vows and I was reminded again why I like this character so much. The Arizona and April scenes looked ad-libbed a bit to me as well. Jessica and Sarah has been so out of the park phenomenal this season. I will miss that friendship. Owen and Leo are cute. It just hit me in this episode only that owen won't have his trauma soldier anymore to run the ER. I hope we continue to see Peyton next season as well. Bailey's little speech to Arizona had me choking as well. All in all, I have made peace with the exit scenario and I just want some happiness for these characters to go forward with. Even with all craziness I hope the jolex wedding turns out to be a blast.
  10. agreed on the non dying part. but I'm not so sure about april's physical/mental fitness post trauma. the episode is being hyped no doubt, even sarah is live tweeting - but she doesn't sounds that excited - which kinda means april will survive but we probably won't be happy.
  11. I don't think Callie in any way or form got an decent send off. It was mediocre, forced and way out of character - more like I didn't even recognise s12 Callie. Anyways, I'm against calling any relationship toxic just because they have different opinions or beliefs, so for me, japril were good together (at least better than Crowen or Slexie or Izzex for that matter). All shondaland couples had/have issues and japril aren't different. If you take April's potential exit out of equation, japril were actually written interacting this season + co-parenting successfully and being friendly again. A crisis amidst this would have thrown them back together or given them a slexie sort of ending in classic shondaland style. But since we know april is leaving & jackson is staying - is why a mapril reunion would be an better option. It doesn't have to be romantic - it could just be two same kind of people raising their kids together. It doesn't/won't erase japril's relationship just as maggiexjackson 's pairing hasn't deleted it either. The mentality that april JUST CAN'T BE WITH MATHEW is sounding more and more condescending consider you have Jackson moved on from April like a million episodes ago.
  12. I think for sure april won't die. there are too many spoilers to support that narrative. I just think that maybe something do happens to her that forces her to quit/not get back to surgery - and that'll probably be her exit sl.
  13. I really enjoyed this episode, and it probably happened because this episode had some really fleshed out scenes with Alex and Arizona which I always appreciate. Imo both the characters aged 10 years in this single episode. I'm neutral about the Arizona Carina dynamics. One one hand I think Carina should have been prepared for the 'sofia being Arizona's priority' when she choose to date a single mom while on other hand I agree with Carina that a child should not be the reason for a cross country move. And every time I look at this situation, I dislike it more. Why should Arizona always be the one making the sacrifices? Like uprooting your life so your daughter could deal with the situation your ex put you in? Ugh. I get where sofia is coming from, it's one thing to have divorced parents, it's a whole different thing to have your parents at two different locations. Whatever Arizona & Callie decided about working out the schedule was never practical in the first place. You can't expect a 7 year old to have a school one year and then a new one the next year. It was a red herring when Sofia asked to come home mid year, and I think that should have been enough for Callie to consider what Arizona is considering now (aka moving back). But of course that's not how this show rolls. I just wished that the whole Arizona moving closer to Callie was based on the potential career opportunity first and then sofia but Greys totally missed that point and in a way disserviced the character once again. Smh. P.s I liked the talk Arizona had with the mother, the whole skating thing monologue, made me wish we could see the character skate around at least one more time. I loved all the alex scenes with his mother. I was livid at first, I thought he'll go all cage fighter on her mom like he did with his father. I'm glad Jo understood him well and let him get the anger out of his system first. And what's better way to do that then some batting. Makes me miss the days when Greys used to have dudes playing golf and others playing softball etc. And now that he has mentioned Aaron and Amber, I really hope both show up at his wedding. I hope mama karev shows up as well but I'm not putting my money on it. I'm glad Bailey didn't actually apologised to Vik. Even if he was justified to some degrees, he & his brother looked way too arrogant to me. Let me just cut the chase, the character is just too irrelevant for me to care. Hmm I hope Jackson securing Harriet's future is not some writing on the wall co-related to something happening to April (oh wait! That promo...) Now I did felt some chemistry between Meredith & doctor McKidney but this guy? yeah it just felt like they just wrote a character(which otherwise would have been Alex) so meredith could have the conversation/ reach conclusion about the cerrone situation. I hope Betty comes back, I can't handle a depressing Amelia. Also, yay to the Cristina Yang mention.
  14. no I agree on that. Death threats are never funny or can be called as 'passionate' behaviour. but i think her PR team can help her in articulating it better. For one, you can NEVER compare what an lgbtq teen/youth goes through with what an mature lady is reading on her Twitter. there's more problematic statements there but i don't wanna go there. it is not like sarah and jessica aren't getting bad behaviour themselves. I just feel like Ellen/GA's PR team can do better than this. It is not about holding back, it is about the fact that pot calling kettle black.
  15. this thrown together pairing was by Krista only, otherwise last season they had Eliza as Arizona's +1. Maybe krista didn't liked Eliza (can't blame her there cuz same) but Carina is her own creation. I believe Arizona being let go is again something Krista has 'visioned'. Like she didn't envisioned japril as a pairing, she didn't envisioned Arizona without Callie either. And all of this is really sad, because as an writer your job is to take stories forward, not steamroll it with what you like or dislike. Especially with Arizona - because if you can write meredith without Derek, why writing arizona without callie is such a hardship. anyways it's their 'creativity' or lack of there off. i will always stand by my point that april and arizona had way too much of story left to be just let go.
  16. okay gag! of course, the whole issue of owen abusing the women in his life to give him their uterus will be resolved by giving him 93 babies.
  17. but isn't teddy coming back (next season probably) to sweep owen off his feet or something?
  18. i kind of strongly dislike this narrative. even if everything has to be centred around meredith (which imo isn't required tbh), arizona and meredith are the only plane crash survivors left on show, they both are single parents, they both have a ground breaking record in having to deal with traumas, so if these same writers didn't invested in this bonding to be developed, then who's to be blamed here? april too, along with alex, cristina, jackson and meredith were from the same batch - meredith was april's bridesmaid in her wedding. there is a bond there, if the writers didn't invested in it, it's on them. while they are at it, they keep forcing maggie as some very important character down our throats. At first I thought it is to create more important characters on greys after some major departures but if they keep these non layered characters in exchange of some very fleshed out, seasoned characters - excuse me if I don't buy this creative decision bs. while we are at it, what's owen & jackson's link to meredith besides dating the sisters? which im sure no one is invested in and probably won't last next season.
  19. it looks more of lack of effort from ABC's part. A vague synopsis could always be put up without giving out spoilers. And most invested fans get their chunk of spoilers from social media, so it's not like anything is under the wraps. You already have Camilla championing about finale being her fav jolex episode or something, there's location footage, fan sightings, BTS pics of casts and so on.... *****'the doctors of Greys Sloan make some life altering decisions about their future amidst challenges that forces them to contemplate their choices'**** like how hard it is? I'm not a fan of jolex but I love love love Alex karev, just wished his 'big' episodes were treated equally important.
  20. I'm sure it has not, but there are some accounts that have. Similarly there are some accounts that are bashing sarah for apparently 'lying' about the whole firing situation - means she got a new gig and that's why she's leaving and jessica for apparently not taking a stand for 'good friend' ellen as well. It is social media, obviously there would be opinions, some harsher then others. At some point, this whole boycotting thing that the fans have going on - which has resulted in some serious declining in ratings + Greys have not trended on social media since the firing news come out - is affecting the TPTB in some way or other. I even saw Krista tweeting requesting the fans to use correct greys hashtag and now this - pretty much all looks like some belated damage control.
  21. wait, if the foundation is apparently this big, why did Jackson said at the end of the episode that he'll be broke now onwards or something...
  22. oh yeah, now that you have pointed out - I remember there was a whole non fraternisation fiasco in s11 where attending were debarred from screwing interns etc....so he can very well throw April under the bus. While I am not a fan of interns, Roy, while can justify his stance about not eating the cookies on purpose - but still - the interns were specifically informed that those were laced cookies and they need to step back if he has consumed any. But he acted irrationally and that's entirely on him, not on the hospital.
  23. I was rolling my eyes through the entirety of the episode. First of all it was Greys PR team/actors pimping Sarah Utterback's return like they have gotten Sandra Oh to come back for an episode. Nurse Olivia wasn't an relevant character even in season 1. And then for an character to comeback and act all mighty...geez that was just too much. Like olivia herself didn't sleep around. meh. Such an waste of an sl and screen time. Was it just show that even at the corner of being married, alex will treat Jo like crap just because he's feeling restless/insecured? Bleh. I agree with all the above poster who have said that Catherine didn't needed to be recognised as an martyr here. She didn't suffered, she didn't compromised with her career, she saved the foundation's name - I'm not saying she didn't do her best back then - I'm just saying, now's the time to do the right, and those women still didn't served right by making Catherine their face and voice. Anyways, while we are at it, are jackson and harriet gonna drop the Avery form their name as well? This has been Greys trend this season, they touch on serious topics and then sweep it of like any other meh story line. I was on to Carina and Arizona's pairing a little bit but Carina telling Arizona 'how to be a parent' was a bit too much for me. It reminded me of when Callie said something along the same line. When Arizona said that Callie moving off to NY will be harsh on Sofia, Callie said that Arizona herself moved a lot as a kid and turned out fine. In both the situations these woman are comparing tomatoes to potatoes. If your parents got divorced when you were kid, you should know better what a 7 year old must be going through Carina. Just like Arizona knew that so much uprooting and moving will be harsh on Sofia because she went through that as a kid. Now Amelia and Owen - gahhh is it the same show that spent half an season in S8 with Merder 's adoption process being in jeopardy, even though they were married? And now two adoption process will go down like a breeze? Save me the crap. For a moment I can agree on Leo's adoption process going through, but her mother's? And that too when we know Amelia's history as an addict? April deciding to be jolex's wedding planner like jo and April ever had an bond. The only good thing about this episode was Zola asking Meredith why Maggie's friend doesn't have to bath when we have to take a bath daily. Lol.
  24. okay yes, this is the first time I have read someone say it, and I completely agree now - if Sarah thinks that they have been wronged (and now that they're out of any binding contract with ABC & Shonda) then she should just come out and say so. If you support feminism, then get up and take a stand. I'm not a fan of the decision and neither I am a ellen fan but being shady towards them isn't helping anyone in any form.
