  1. Taylor has taken over the feed today - she’s a 4th grade teacher and just giving some tips on home schooling your kids. Seems like such a doll!
  2. Surely I’m not the only one thinking about signing up?! Takes the fun out of speculating who might be auditioning, but no way I would show up in person for this. I would, however, happily do it in my living room.
  3. I'm a little sad I didn't see those gummy bears when I was at Buccee's a couple weeks back! Definitely would have picked some up. The overall pic made me laugh, though. Definitely not the spring break anyone planned to have!
  4. Is Friday Night Lights (the series) available for you, @Tulip86 ? It’s probably my favorite show of all time, and since you don’t seem to mind some aspects of American football... Truly tho, lovely stories and great plotlines. Nice eye candy too!
  5. I think Morgan made it by a miracle/moment of delusion, got squawked at all year, showed up late and BOOM done.
  6. Bridget, Caroline and Amber are all super lovely, amazing dancers, but that would be the most girl next door triangle of all time. They all take fantastic pictures (especially Caroline, IMO) but it wouldn't be as visually interesting to anyone except those of us that are super into the dancing itself.
  7. Kaitlin made show group her rookie year as an 18 year old...so I think their mothering instincts took over, plus she was a solid cheerleader. Good teammate, normally on time, kept her figure, etc. And then as a 19 year old, she just started struggling to balance everything. Her arrest record later is a matter of fact, but it was also rumored that she was dating a super butthead that dragged her into things she might not have gotten into on her own.
  8. She looks gorgeous in the pic she posted from Maxim, but everything else looks so odd. She was so beautiful before, but way too much tweaking her face here and there. Sigh. And she just turned 23! she looks like herself in these I think:
  9. Flipping through the insta - she seems to be very happy in her current relationship, so that’s a win! I think this particular post posted a few weeks ago referenced her second time in camp when she had gotten SOOOO fit. And if I remember correctly, they were fine with how she looked in the uniform at that point, but she was cut because she was an ambassador risk and not a great teammate. She had lost her fun power and showmanship. But clearly she never remembers any dance critique but only the critique she had on her figure the first time she was in camp. Tho I admit I flip channels during the poem now because it was so damn awkward. Beautiful girl and clearly an amazing body, but not coach able.
  10. Oh, goodness. The Chiefs are my team and I'm happily living back in Kansas City now, but their cheerleaders are not nearly as strong as the DCC. Any time they dance to "Thunder" I cringe. Given the Hunt family is from Dallas, and how close Sydney is with the family, maybe they should be, or maybe that's something that they're working towards... They're certainly great on appearances, and they are definitely more mature, well rounded, etc. But the dance talent isn't fully developed across the entire squad. Honestly, I'm okay with that. The DCC attract the talent they do because of the opportunities involved. It's very visible, has a reality show attached, pays better (even if the pay is laughable), etc. I'm sure a handful try out because they just love the Cowboys, but that's not the norm. I've had several friends that were Chiefs cheerleaders (Seagals too) out of high school or college and they loved the opportunity, but it truly was a part time job and not a low paid dance job with lots of perks.
  11. You make some excellent points, and I go back and forth on my thoughts with this. Kelli is consistently inconsistent with how she treats people, and I’m always curious which way the wind will blow. Upon rewatch of some of Dayton’s time in training camp (thanks Pluto for providing consistent background noise!), I think Kelli was frustrated AF at Dayton, and wasn’t shy about showing it. I think Dayton is so pretty, and so talented, but generally not a great fit for the DCC. VK is a like a spastic little golden retriever, full of energy and lives/breathes DCC. Dayton came across to me as underprepared, even when she had a lot of the same opportunities and background to shine. She was lower energy, seemed disinterested, late for her makeover, lacked punch in the dances, etc. And her mom is one of the best DCC of all time! She shouldn’t have had any issues with pop or power or giving a great smile during performances. I don’t like how Kelli treated Dayton, to be sure, but in hindsight, I feel like Dayton was running through the motions and checking it off her to do list. And maybe Kelli knew that, or knew that Dayton was more excited about other things. And maybe Kelli was right not to take the risk in Dayton improving because Dayton didn’t finish her cruise line position either if I remember correctly. And here’s VK, someone Kelli has been close with her entire life, and VK is happy go lucky and kissing butt and sooooo psyched to be there. Auntie Kelli eats it right up. She always does. The broody, thoughtful girls rarely make the team. Kelli likes big smiles and bubbly and sweet. The thing that gets me is that Dayton knew that too and didn’t bother. Being a DCC isn’t a dance job in contemporary or lyrical or ballet. It’s a big, bright smile, T&A, sunshine and bubbles on appearances, etc. That’s not for everyone, and I think a big part of why so many are one and done, or don’t even cross the finish line when they obviously have the talent for it.
  12. Alright, unpopular opinion...I like the pic of Tina and VK. I do think they would have allowed Shelly/Dayton that same moment, and probably any other active alumni and their daughter. Tina is certainly overly active due to her friendship with Kelly, but I think there are prob other very active alums from the 80’s and 90’s that we might see as their kiddos age up. I think these two ladies can be next level obnoxious, but I also think it’s a sweet moment they can share. As for the dresses, yeah, seasonality out the window. Wind chills in the 30’s a week ago and sunny the next minute.
  13. I adore Mackenzie and I'm so glad she made the team, Angela too. Both great cheerleaders and still super involved with their friends from the organization. But I felt like Racecar Taylor was actually a stronger kicker and just as powerful, yet she was cut. Booooo. And she had a "different" look. I don't know why I'm still annoyed by this several years later, when all other parties have of course moved on. And bah, you let Morgan on the squad? Bah humbug.
  14. Why do they hate Kat’s wig so much 😭 Such unspeakable horrors it has been through!
  15. Wow, Kat's picture is so much better of all three of them. That first picture is terrible of VK.
  16. Traffic would be my guess! Las Colinas was a heck of a lot closer to the stadium than The Star is, but they're still pretty far away. Depending on where she's coming from, a 20 minute drive can easily because 70 minutes or more. Even on a Sunday.
  17. Gotcha, and thank you for responding! I agree with a lot of @Jess14 's take, so thanks for adding to the discussion! I had written a dissertation that would have been too long for anyone to read, so here's my TLDR: I thought Jenna was a better asset for the DCC because she was just as strong in the DCC style as Holly, plus showed enough leadership to be chosen as asst group leader, group leader, was often shown teaching others, both in the studio and one on one. She's been called out as someone who was friendly at camps, plus she took one hell of a photograph, never an issue for weight, etc. In a team environment, I think she showed up as stronger all around, despite her poor decisions outside of the DCC. I think it's of note that both Jenna and Holly came to the DCC right out of high school, but just have very different personalities. Jenna comes across as more naive, and I get why she was swept into her romance (no matter how short lived) with Dax. Holly is an ambitious go getter, and her main focus was on the dancing, but not necessarily being a good teammate. And that's okay, but I think that's something serious to consider in a team environment. I wouldn't be surprised if Holly was somewhat toxic in the locker room, and that's even without factoring in the rumors about her texts with her mom, frequently being on weight watch, underage drinking, etc.
  18. I watched that one last night too. Seriously a weird season, and the team only had 34 cheerleaders in the end. Plus, they cut Schram! And that one super shortie that hadn't been in the office all season. I forgot about all of the people who were on weight probation, and still don't understand why Stephanie Heyman made the team. Tho at that point I guess they didn't want to drop to 32 (assuming they keep even numbers?) I guess the best things in that season were Sascha Agent, Nicole B and the introduction to Schram. And for some, the dressing down by Megan Flaherty but that was always super awkward to me, plus it's sad since she's now deceased.
  19. Curious why you considered Holly to be a much stronger asset to the team. I disagree for several reasons, but genuinely curious about your take.
  20. IIRC, Kyndall did social media and marketing work for a commercial real estate firm, so she might have been doing that for The Star as well. That said, we’re in a social media world so I just looked her up on Linked In. She was a Senior Sales Advisor at The Star and now she’s back in marketing.
  21. Lord yes, wills for everyone! I don’t even have any children and I have one. Makes it easier for everyone when things are just spelled out. That said, Kandi and her mom could be rotten people. Or that jewelry and Rolex could have been from their side of the family. He could have been cheating on his sick wife. They just might not trust that he’ll do right by the girls. They could all three be awful people or all three be wonderful with good intentions. I hate to think anyone is truly evil, but death and assets do terrible things to normally good people all the time. Tears up families and friends. I just hope the two kiddos find peace and love and are relatively shielded from the drama best he can.
  22. Love this post on Heather’s page! Great shot (and hey, no VK!)
  23. I really just want Maddie’s hot pink soled sneaks. So cute! She looks adorable in that pic.
  24. That article certainly has a sympathetic slant towards him, but what an awful situation. Curious how it’ll all shake out. Clearly a LOT of distrust between him and the deceased’s family. There’s probably three sides to the story and who knows where the truth lies I feel terrible for the two little girls caught in the middle without their mom. “According to a civil lawsuit filed Nov. 8, 2019, in Dallas County, Texas, Enloe alleges that, while Katie was "on her deathbed," fighting cancer, Katie’s sister, Kandi Mahan (the wife of PGA Tour player Hunter Mahan), and mother, Debra Breaux, orchestrated a scheme to change the beneficiary designation of the $500,000 life-insurance policy that Enloe had purchased. In addition, Enloe claims that Mahan and Breaux took jewelry, watches and other valuables worth an estimated $60,000 from his house without his permission.”
  25. I live in Kansas City now and have been a Chiefs fan since I was a teenager...it's been such a fun season for us! During the rally today, the Chiefs Cheerleaders performed to Thunderstruck. And bless their hearts...they need to pick a different song. Also I definitely did the DCC dance like I was at a wedding. LOL.
