LMAO! Thank you. I love Scott too and so annoyed that I couldn't figure it out. I'm sure watching the episode would help! As soon as I'm done working today I'm all over it 🙂

Lord someone put me out of my misery: Hannah's stickers: Melissa, Neil and SP??? Who is SP? The gold sticker. Lexi's stickers: Kelli & Judy. (I like Lexi, so this doesn't bug me one little bit.) Kristen also got one of those gold stickers, and it's blurry on the screen grab, but I also think it's SP. Marissa didn't get one of Judy's, which I thought was interesting. And Rachel W didn't get the SP.

I miss that A LOT, especially when there's a surge of people who find the forum. Good for the site to have new traffic and page views, but yikes. I don't expect people to read through a zillion pages, but I tend to go back at least a few pages when I'm looking at a new forum. 90% of the time my question is answered somewhere in there. Usually for me it's the spoiler threads for The Bachelor/The Bachelorette when I hear something that catches my attention. I haven't watched a full season of that show in a decade but sometimes it still wraps me back in. LOL. I used to work with the main guy that spoils the show back in 2007/2008 so it always makes me chuckle that he's pivoted from textiles to gossip. One reason I stuck with MBTV/TWoP was the rules and structure. The strict rules weeded out a lot of low quality content that you tend to see on Reddit, Facebook posts, etc. Seemed like we could have stronger discussions, and not a bunch of punchy back and forth posts about who is pretty or not pretty. Not that it's top of mind today! I use the ignore function A LOT now. But here I am going boards on boards so now I'm just part of the problem 😉

Honestly I think this year has just been a lot for everyone...just the things you listed are enough to weigh anyone down. Even if you're someone who doesn't mask unless strictly required, ignores precautions, continues to fly here and there and everywhere (sooooo many current and former DCC,) life is still different. (Plus civil unrest, super active hurricane season, wildfires, a tumultuous election year, etc. etc. etc.) And if you're someone like Hannah who is studying mental health, super into the science, has family on the front lines and here you are in a fake bubble with half assed effort for a tv show...I can see it taking some shine off. Moreso, it seems like Hannah was able to ignore the less savory parts of being a DCC in the past because the pros were still outweighing the cons. I think this year the shine got taken way the hell off and she just didn't have it in her to fake it anymore. She probably wasn't really ready to stop dancing, and Kelli went ahead and made that decision for her. I don't love it for anyone involved, and Hannah is one of my favorites to watch. I guess some of the shine is gone for me too!

I always love seeing who Judy pops her green sticker on...I trust her more than some of the other judges when it comes to the dancing. It’s also interesting to see who may or may not be on the shit list. Crazy that Jalyn doesn’t have more stickers. No big surprises on the peeps with the most stickers: Caroline, Amber, Kelcey, Gina...and VK and Maddie of course. Love seeing rookie Claire too! Who is the gold? Hannah has Melissa Rycroft, Neil McCoy and I can’t figure out the last one. (Haven’t watched the episode yet...waiting for iTunes.)

I would rather them lie and say her pom technique magically disappeared than twist how she opened up about her mental health struggles as a teen for the show...they're lamenting now that she's sad and pale to set it up. And then maybe that turns into well, with her history she's having a harder time with most, etc. etc. I would like to think they're above that but I honestly don't know anymore. I know it's a tv show and they don't want to skip a good storyline, but they could have shielded Courtney Cook much more than they did and just let her quietly disappear like Erica. Same with Kaitlin. I would hope they wouldn't create a storyline out of thin air that suggests something that isn't really there. If Hannah has a bad attitude, even for a good reason, creative editing can make that 100% the problem. No need to talk about a lack of pom ability, how pale she is, that she seems sad, etc.

What a gorgeous ball of floof!! Thank you for posting, and please give him an extra pet for me 🙂 It’s such a weird thing when there are much bigger problems this year, but I really miss petting random dogs at wineries, outdoor craft shows, even out on hikes. Still some opportunities, of course, but without people out and about, their dogs aren’t either. I had always traveled too much to justify having a pup heaven knows that’s changed this year.

This articulates how I feel exactly! I found her NYC story interesting, and it makes sense to me how some of these gals gravitated towards the DCC this year since at least it’s still a paid dance job. The show exposure can work in favor for some, especially if they’re after social media money, and I don’t know that Broadway or cruise lines or Vegas, etc. would give this the same side eye they might have in the past. I think there’s been buzz that the dance community in general looks at NFL cheer and DCC as a joke, but a dance hustle is a hustle and these ladies found a way to stay in shape and perform in a weird ass time. Even if it’s in a weird ass way. I didn’t love Brennan’s mask either, but I did find her to be polished and pretty in her tank and high waisted jeans. A surprising choice for her for move in day, tho, knowing cameras would likely be there AND it’s blazing ass hot. I’ll keep talking about Lisa’s horrible fashion choices to the grave tho. Those pieces separately maybe could have worked but had no business worn together. Bless.

I would have hated that for her, to be honest. If you aren’t personally a good choreographer, you have to outsource. And that takes some extra cash. So if they have a weak solo but excel in the DCC choreography, I’m always glad they get a bit of a pass . For the dancers out there - what are good resources for solo pieces on the cheap? Do you just try to patch together YouTube finds? Older recital/dance class pieces? I know dancing isn’t easy on a low to middle class budget, and I think Kat does have the resources, but it does make me curious what alternatives are out there. Plus even for those who hire out, so many stubbornly insist on “doing shit they can’t do” anyway. (That said, I wish Kat would take about 20% off the top. She’s gorgeous and has a lot of wonderful personality features, but damn she’s exhausting. And it’s not making up for her dance struggles IMO.)

I really liked hearing Marisa's story...really interesting about the dance academy and NYC, I thought. And despite not loving the sad story about her friend (sad stories that aren't directly about the TCC make me bonkers,) it's definitely a great cause so bugged me less than some other tales. From what I'm seeing on the show, I like Marisa more than I thought I would. Did I catch it wrong? I got from the episode that both Annabelle AND her dad had Graves disease, so I thought that bit was interesting. Big old eye roll talking about Hannah's being too pale. For pete's sake, bring in a spray tan machine to your half assed bubble you assholes. There is A LOT of choppy editing in this episode. Sheesh.

There was for sure some hijinks in the Tara editing...but honestly, she looked to me like she was struggling. I was never a big Tara fan from her rookie year...short legs, blender, etc. But I liked her personality and she definitely had an approachable, sporty cute vibe. I love peeps like this on the squad, alongside the glam girls, super athletic/buff, etc. But she looked run down to me for her veteran camp, starting with the swimsuit photo shoot and her office visits. Seemed like more of an outside of DCC, real life issues she wasn't able to work through while sparkling for the DCC. So while upset for her and her teammates as she seemed much beloved, it didn't seem like she needed to be on the squad that year.

I do think if things had progressed with Dak, Jenna would have been given a pass for a while...as long as it was kept as quiet. Dak is by most accounts a good man and a total sweetheart. That said, I think she would have been encouraged to wrap things up and leave quietly/retire sooner rather than later, especially if it went public. He’s too high profile to keep things on the DL for long. Poor Dak. I hope he makes a miraculous recovery and finds a franchise that appreciates him. -

I've mostly said it on posts related to Holly, but it's one thing to date and then get into a serious relationship with a low profile player and you keep things quiet. It's a whole 'nother issue to be a minor drinking in clubs with an extremely high profile player who had recently been involved in some legal issues for groping a woman in public and is wholly a TMZ/TheDirty darling like Zeke was at that time. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Paige disclosed what was happening once she knew something real was going on, and Kelli chose to not enforce the contract. I think it probably happens more than what leaks into the public, though of course not terribly often. Kelli has plenty on her plate and probably isn't going to fuss about things that aren't causing problems UNLESS that cheerleader is a pain in her ass for other reasons. Would be great if rules were consistently applied, but as far as I can tell the DCC isn't any different than any other employer out there for that kin of thing. -

Her body is even more killer than I remember. Wow. I’m 6’0” but always been a chonk so can’t wrap my head around the mile long dancer legs 😂😂 -
Ohhhhh I was meaning did Brianna get a calendar page in any of the 2020 calendars. But 2021 would work too since they’re recycling. here’s the Brennan post with her two: https://www.instagram.com/p/CIoTRDZhnuy/?igshid=pw3vmdiqsni

For all the flack Tina K gets about what she said about Chandler...I totally agreed. Didn't need to be said on camera, though! I guess they were going for the sporty cute vibe with her, but she looked so uncomfortable in front of the camera and didn't glam up. She's probably super cute IRL but the camera just isn't as kind to her as others. (And agreed about Alexandra! I was bummed she didn't make it too, honestly. Gorgeous, long legs, intelligent, special ed teacher, etc. Kelli REALLY wanted her to get those memory issues figured out.) -
I adore Brianna and always have, but I think she benefitted from the much needed mature, non-controversial DCC after all the dramas from seasons prior. She's mature, grounded, etc. She's for sure a blender IMO, but the type of blender every team needs. Lovely, gracious, etc. Did she get a calendar page? I thought it was interesting that Brennan was the December calendar girl for two of the DCC calendars this year for all the bluster she gets about her pics.

And the one that are, they're SUPER creepy. I could never be a public figure...bad enough having a not private insta profile. the DM's I get are bad enough and 90% of my posts are quilt progress pics! Also, Lisa's outfit makes me die a little inside. Styling those jeans with a completely different top would have improved it at least a little. A loose top like that with a wide bottom jean is not at all flattering, either. Maybe if she'd done a loose cardigan over a fitted tank underneath? I don't even know what would make it better. Of all of the DCC, I think she makes the oddest clothing choices. It's her life and her wardrobe, though, so whatever. But for an on camera day, do better girl! And I'm super shocked that Brennan rolled in so casual, she's usually all in for the fashionista choices! Even if I don't always like her outfits, they're usually thoughtfully done and nicely tailored for her figure. She always pays attention to fit. Even if she wasn't expecting to be on camera that soon, I'm surprised she wasn't more pulled together since she ALWAYS is.

Some of the smartest people I know can't spell for shit, so that wouldn't necessarily surprise me...and she did probably hire that site out. I just want to give it a quick tweak and fix it for her! And because I'm procrastinating on a hateful work project, I googled the school size and there are 2,210 students in PK, K-12. So a teeny graduating class, but it's still a great accomplishment!
-
Seems like a good "why not both" situation to me. Her insta is still 100% lingerie pics, but the income from modeling could definitely help offset education expenses. UCLA ain't cheap and she's too young to qualify to be an independent student and get the good grants. It's not the venue many would take, but if she's calculated and smart about it, okay then. Some of her earlier pics were a bit worrisome IMO, but maybe through COVID she's adjusted some things. Alllllll that said, curious if she's an active student. I flipped through her linked website to see if it had any school related info, and it's in dire need of copy editing. Linked In is outdated too.
-
So when I was in the lingerie buying office at Nordstrom, our Salt Lake store had the biggest volume in post surgery recovery garments and “petite full busted” aka implants. Appearance is VERY important to many in the community! I was always so fascinated by their sales, tho, because I assumed it would be LA or Dallas. Lol. In season seems like such a terrible time for that procedure tho, sheesh.

Awww, that just made me think of Kalyssa. Valedictorian of her class at her Oklahoma high school. I think what gets Holly P is always going to be her attitude. She's pretty and has talent but she's forever sneering or smirking. Makes her look rougher than she really is, and her sass was well documented on MTT. If she had come in at 21 instead of baby faced 18 year old, she might have gotten the same talking to as Brandi Kilby.

Malena and Courtney (former Buccs cheerleader) BLEW MY MIND. They quit hard to get career positions for this nonsense. Courtney made it very clear that DCC was her priority, and she wouldn't likely get blacklisted after resigning, especially if she gained some relevant experience in a DCC spoon fed doctor's office job. Malena? Academia has a long as hell memory and that type of position isn't open often. At least Courtney made the team and Kelli/Judy IMO made it pretty clear they were going to help her get on the squad to make it worth her while, but Malena? Dear God. They needed to get real with her real quick like they did with Shelby a few seasons back.
