I don't think Nicole has any interest in exploring Morocco on her own and she even seems reluctant to do so when she's with Azan to act as her tourist guide. I still think she sleeps a lot when he's not around, after all she's there to see HIM! Her idea of exploring an area is probably walking around an enclosed air conditioned mall with plenty of benches and fast food restaurants.

It just dawned on me that Applegate might have been deliberately staged as a kind of "Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden/Claremont" scenario. EVE-lyn gave him an apple and once he tried it, she expected his "eyes to be opened" like Adam's in Genesis. Plus we even got to hear the Wisdom of Solomon!

At least get a degree in Music Education to fall back on in case your singing career doesn't pan out. I get the impression she's pretty much "self-taught" and thus doesn't have the necessary musical training (and TALENT!) to get accepted into a competitive college music program, but there must be plenty of colleges within a couple of hours of Claremont where she could hone her skills while learning about other ways of sharing her music with others that would pay the rent. She could still "gig" on the side. There are probably millions of highly talented and trained professional musicians who can't make a living as performers, so Evelyn is being extremely unrealistic. Then again, she might be the type that doesn't think she needs education (that wouldn't surprise me in the least)... Who needs education or talent when you have God on your side? He will provide for and protect that special little snowflake that is Evelyn. I truly believe that is her plan for life. She and her whole family seem to think that good things will just fall into her charmed lap. You're absolutely right. I was going to put in her "all things are possible through Jesus" philosophy but I always find it hard to believe people just sit back and pray for things to happen without doing anything to help themselves achieve a goal (apart from going on a reality TV show). Personally, I feel that God has many more important prayers to answer than Evelyn's dream of becoming famous. Edited to add: I'm a firm believer in the old adage "God helps those who help themselves."

Can Evelyn remove negative comments on You Tube? I noticed that on the "Lost" video, (which I could only stand for a couple of minutes) she gets almost as many dislikes as likes, but the comments are all how wonderful and talented she is and how she is destined for stardom.

I was just now half-listening to the episode when Josh takes Aika to the modeling agency and she crushes his dream when she announces her desire to start a family. In his TH, he says something like, "Aika came here with certain expectations but I'm not going to be able to fulfill them as soon as she wants". (Maybe a reverse vasectomy?) Since he's so determined to show off his hot fiancee, I would not be at all surprised if he doesn't talk her into making a home sex tape which (whoops) "accidentally" ends up on the internet.

True confession, I actually spent some time last night on Google Earth trying to find this house (obviously converted to multi-family) in Claremont as I would have liked to see the entire front, but no luck. It looks like they entered the kitchen from a side (or back) porch (complete with abandoned refrigerator, I didn't see one inside and noticed that when Evelyn ticked off the list of what was in the "vintage" kitchen she didn't mention a fridge) and that there was an outside staircase added to access another apartment upstairs. It also appeared to have two front entrances, the shabby tacked on one on the right corner with the lace curtains and the original blue front door which was only visible as they were coming downstairs. I call BS on the rent being $ 1200 a month for that rundown dump or that they were seriously considering moving there, I think it was all set up to horrify David. edited to add: If they planned to stay in Claremont, I think ANYWHERE they rent would be within five minutes of her parents. And I like how Evelyn assured him it was an "okay" neighborhood.

In respect to Nicole still being in bed in the late afternoon, what else is she going to do when Azan isn't there? She has shown absolutely no intellectual curiosity or interest in the Moroccan culture, seeing the sights, interacting with the people, trying to learn the language, or trying the food. She won't drag her ass out of bed to take a walk (horrors!) or even take May outside for some fresh air. There's probably nothing on TV in English and she doesn't strike me as a "reader," so unless May is willing to share her electronic device, Mama Nicole is bored and escapes by sleeping.

I think by filming time, which was at least 7 months following Nicole's first visit to Morocco, May must have "age progressed" to closer to if not 3, even though Nicole is still shown as being Forever 22. I agree May doesn't appear to have been raised in any kind of a stimulating environment, being entertained by a toy while wearing earphones and sucking on her pacifier.
