The bold is mine. Never mind that the attackers came from Belgium or that the French were searching there. No, Trump was right (not). I was just staring at the tv and not sure who said what exactly. Someone said Trump actually has a foreign policy. I have no idea what they are hearing. I really couldn't believe Sonny doing a 180. Maybe we should build a wall around Trump and make him pay for it.

I'm not sure how the door opening thing started either. I tend to zone out when Whoopi is talking. I don't mind having a door opened in the normal course of entering or exiting. It doesn't matter if it is a man or woman. I think that comes down to being polite. I hate to have a man reach around me to open a door or refuse to go through because I opened it before he could. As far as my husband opening the car door, he knows better than to do that. We met 40 years ago and he opened my car door and I closed it. I told him to never do that again, that I could open my own door. Having a man open a door that I could open myself has always bothered me. It makes me feel lesser than. For the record, I think the term sexist is started to get overused. We don't have to label everything. YMMV

Probably because of the uproar when Rosie asked him about guns on her old talk show. Since he was the first guest on this show, they just let him come on and then just shuffle off. Just to add: I do like Tom Selleck as an actor but his personal views not so much.

I just watched the abortion discussion. While I loved when between Joy and Whoopi, CCB was left speechless. I just wish that Joy or Whoopi would sharpen their arguments a little more. In a lot of cases, the other clinics aren't located near the lower income neighborhoods. Also, if the clinic is run by the Catholic church, then no birth control is available. Planned Parenthood is a necessary organization for a wide array of women. The other clinics can continue like they do now and provide services to their clients. Although maybe too many facts would cause CCB to melt into a litlle puddle.

I do like the Friday show with Joy as moderator. Glad she stopped Michelle's "joke" so that someone else (CCB in this case) could talk. I am amazed at how far some on the panel will go to excuse or explain a presidential candidate's words. It's okay to have walls because cities in the bible had walls? If we are going to go there, what about the walls of Jericho and how they came tumbling down? My point is why try to justify Trump or throw shade at the Pope's comments. Of course, we always have Paula to excuse Trump because he is Trump.

The pillow over the face isn't mentioned in any of the initial reports of finding the body. I am finding the whole pillow thing is being parroted on right wing blogs and so called news sites. The account from the person who found him said he looked like he was taking a nap. You wouldn't say that if there was a pillow on his face. Also, he didn't have a heart attack. The woman who declared him dead said his heart stopped. The media reported that as a heart attack. The cause of death is natural causes. It sounds as if the family and his doctor are satisfied with this cause. They would have more information on his health than the public. If an autopsy is done after embalming it would only be to check skeletal conditions or any that doesn't involve blood or organs. I was surprised at Joy agreeing with Paula on this too.

GHScorpiosRule and Kenz great posts! CCB and Sunny both couldn't understand where the money would come from. Joy answered with the tax increase on the 1%. Even after she said that, I heard Sunny quietly say, but where would the money come from? I guess they don't understand how government is funded.

More than likely Bitsy had a non-compete clause in her Fox contract. She is probably waiting it out before she pops back up on the TV somewhere. I don't think we have seen the last of her unfortunately.

Yes he did go into the military to avoid jail. He was caught tampering with the brake lines of school buses in Wasilla. Not sure if they were cut or just bled out. Either way, it could have been a tragedy. This happened right around the time she became McCain's running mate.

I lost all respect for Weight Watchers when they hired Kirstie Alley and she used her own shakes to lose weight. I did lose weight in 1993 on WW and ended up pregnant. I have tried it twice since but I just can't get into it. I now weigh more than I ever have but with some medical issues it isn't coming off this time. I have always said that if I could give up eating, I could lose weight. It is the need to eat to live that turns into living to eat for me. I know it is all emotional which just makes it so hard to sustain new habits. If I have an emotion, I eat. Doesn't matter if it is good or bad. It is so crazy to be able to state the problem but not be able to fix it.

I heard that and thought it sounded like something right out of Bitsy's playbook. All in all, today's show wasn't all that horrible.

I think she was given time to prove she had the chops to handle this job (such as it was). I have a feeling some of the regular talking heads complained about her interview skills. I have seen clips of Bits asking a word salad question and a look of confusion on the interviewee. I thought one of the psychiatrists they had on one day might have been trying to diagnose her. Ha-ha. She has probably been working out her contract for quite a while. It seemed as though she took quite a few days off over the last year. Her website listed on her twitter account is gone. Maybe she is leaving public life. (We should be so lucky) I thought the praise of Roger Ailes was so over the top when she announced leaving, But then to again praise him on her last day seemed too much. Just odd!

I am always surprised when Cameron can't really express her religious beliefs when she is questioned. Tension was thick this morning. Whoopi's silence spoke volumes. She was pissed about something right from the start. It must have to do with Paula because there was a bit of ice there. At one point, Candace tried to bring Whoopi into the conversation. Usually they are trying to shut her up so they can talk.

My guess is that the interview was done before the show started. Maybe Sherri didn't get there early but Joy was there? I had read somewhere that Scientology was trying to stop Leah's interviews and sending protesters. From things I have heard of other people who have left, some of the people of this "church" can be quite scary.

Just read that next week is a re-run also. The next new episode will be on November 11. I didn't watch because I saw it last year, then this morning I start seeing a kerfuffle about the portrayal of mental illness. I seem to remember something like this last year, Their motto must be any publicity is better than none. Maybe it is time to retire this show. Such a shame.
