  1. I found the ages of Brandon's mom and dad. As of their last birthday, Ron is 70, Betty is 60 and Brandon is 28. He was 27 when this was filmed.
  2. You're right, Millennium. He thinks of Democrats the same way he sees women. Don't make a fuss and maybe some crumbs will fall off the table!
  3. Then he wasn't listening. I grew up in the same type of church and saw black families turned away at the door during the church service. Although Joe's praise of Gowdy shows that he only remembers what happened recently.
  4. For some perspective on the deep state poll, here is a link at Monmouth about that question and the poll. It explains what they mean by the term deep state around paragraph 8. http://bit.ly/2pvHOlF From what I read, the so called deep state could apply to lobbyists and corporations pushing their agendas. I have always thought the deep state was much more sinister.
  5. Candace was on Jenny McCarthy's radio show. She talks about why she went on The View and why she left. http://bit.ly/2Ai9ikS
  6. They are showing a rerun out here in the west.
  7. Just saw this about Barbara Walters. Don't know how accurate it is but sad if true. http://bit.ly/2gRnbP8
  8. C & L website has noted the cell phone footage is from the 2013 explosion in West, Texas not the Arkema plant. They have added an editor's note to the story and taken down that footage.
  9. I think those folks are from the big book of conservative tropes that Elizabeth used back in the day!
  10. Jed reminds me of the quote, "Jack of all trades, master of none."
  11. This is an underwhelming lineup. Doesn't seem like must see tv!
  12. Thank you, athousandclowns. I didn't understand what that lawyer meant either. Sarah was cranking on all cylinders today.
  13. In answering an Isaac Newton question about calculus, Hawking responded, "You can't think of everything."
  14. Actually looks like a good week!
  15. I think the joke was actually about Spacey. He joked throughout the show about the gay rumors that surround him. Joy alluded to him joking about it but Whoopi changed the subject. Whether he is gay, straight, or bi should be his business. I recorded today's show and it seemed as though I had to ff through the commercials a lot more often than normal. Trevor Noah was on such a short time.
  16. She was an intern in one of his district offices. In July 2001, she was found dead in the office. It was ruled that she had fainted and hit her head on a desk. The rumors were that Joe had been having an affair with her. I wasn't paying much attention this morning but the droning sound made me look to see who was on. It was Rumsfeld of all people. I thought he had gone away. What a piece of work!
  17. You might want to stock up on scorpions, Celia. I saw her on MSNBC and she is proud of her stance. She is in heaven over the "revolution" as she calls it. There is no way I will be watching Wednesday.
  18. Thanks GiveMeSpace for the info. It would be nice if they had given more context before diving in and commenting.
  19. I seem to remember several years ago she flew for the first time in years. I think it was when the Sister Act play was opening in London. She might have taken something to relax, maybe. I don't recall all the drama details though.
  20. She is in London doing her one woman show for two performances. She has also filmed an appearance on the Graham Norton show.
  21. I think this job for her was a PR move. She needed to get some national recognition for Fuller House and the Hallmark movies weren't going to do it. I don't think she intended to stay for very long at all. I also don't think she expected the negative audience reactions. They probably made her skedaddle sooner rather than later.
  22. I tried her sweet potato pie last year. It was over the top sweet. My personal preference is for a pie like this to be more like a pumpkin pie and not so sugary. I haven't tried any of her other flavors. I would rather buy her music than her desserts.
  23. I read one of them but I don't remember which one. Not my cup of tea. The one I read was about a woman working in the White House. It was a standard beach read. The main character was tireless, selfless and wonderful. I didn't finish it though. I read it just to see how she wrote. My review may be skewed a bit because she was getting on my nerves on Morning Joe.
  24. After reading this article, my annoyance with Jediblahblah has increased. I didn't know that was possible.
