  1. Has there ever really been one? Other than Elektra, which was spun-off of a not great adaptation in the first place? I wanted the Black Widow movie too, especially if it included Hawkeye. They were going to do it, and then they weren't, and I can't imagine why. Just kidding, it's because of sexism. But I am at least glad to see her again in CA:WS.
  2. The video footage is pre-Island, so I suppose he tracked down her home/whatever remaining family she had and took it from there. I liked that we got the "protect the wimmins" out of the way in one episode too. It's SO boring. I mean, I think protecting Thea, Laurel, and Moira makes some sense because they are completely unaware of what's happening. But Sara is at least as strong as Oliver, if not stronger. And Felicity will never be strong enough, but in my head, she has a super intense security system in that cute little townhouse of hers. And maybe has some trackers on her phone, purse, etc.
  3. Cool! I'm in too, and looking forward to it much more than I would be watching on my own.
  4. Yeah, I mentioned earlier in the thread (I think?) that the script says it's a picture of Logan at age 19. I think it actually might be older than that too, but the point is that Rob intended it to be an old picture of Logan. So I think we're to assume that Veronica has transferred it phone to phone.
  5. Actually, based on what I've seen elsewhere, I don't think WE knew that Amanda knew Oliver. We knew she knew he was the Arrow because she mentioned it to Diggle earlier this season (something about "we know how you and Mr. Queen spend your evenings"), but she and Oliver had never interacted. This indicates that they have a history prior to his return, AND that she did something he's mad about. Yay! Really enjoyed that episode. More Diggle. More ARGUS. Less growling and killing over the loss of a woman who never loved you (looking at you, Deathstroke).
  6. I loved this Diggle-centric episode. Maybe it was just refreshing to see something different, but I would happily spend the rest of the season with ARGUS and the Suicide Squad versus Slade.
  7. I love watching Sansa learn, and adapt, and survive. I also like that her Stark/Tully strength comes out more like her mother's does: she uses courtesy to keep her head and her place, hides her feelings, and works for her own ends in the back channels.
  8. Or, should I say Kin-Layer? Eh? Ehhhhhhhhh? Eh. Jaime is the character I've done the biggest turnaround on (books and show). I fought against it for so long, but Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is just so good, and now I'm on Team Jaime even though yes he almost killed my precious Bran.
  9. HA. Those three statements could easily describe most episodes.
  10. Well, I can't explain the how of it, but I can tell you that the old picture thing was intentional. The script says "[Veronica's] phone begins vibrating. She checks the caller ID and discovers Logan’s 19-year-old face on screen." So either she resets a photo of him on every new phone she gets (possible), or it transfers from SIM card to SIM card somehow? That Nonac was just a delight, start to finish. I'd been trying to think of a BtVS Nonac, and it's actually sort of hard because there are plenty of terrible episodes. But John and Nick approached it the right way: a terrible episode in the midst of great ones. And Amends is certainly that. Other than the Oz/Willow stuff, which is great, the only redeeming thing about this episode is that it almost feels like The Zeppo sends it up, only a few episodes later. With the melodrama and the music cranked up to here, while Xander just runs through like, "Ugh, no time for this."
  11. Exactly. If the loudest fans dictated the directions of shows, it wouldn't be good for anyone. But I'd think even people involved with creating the show would be able to watch it as a normal viewer and see what clicks. If you're a writer/producer/director and incapable of seeing what works on-screen...maybe you're in the wrong line of work? I just think that it's easier to keep trying to force something to click than it is to scrap it and start a new direction. Oh well. This show has seven episodes left before it's the first show in the Whedon-verse to have a first season without any real sign of improvement or promise.
  12. I totally agree. I was semi-enjoying the episode until that "revelation," and it completely soured me on the show again. I was really hoping the writers had paid attention to what was working/not working in the first half of the season and made adjustments to their plans accordingly. But no. First, they let Skye live, which was a mistake in my opinion. Having her Doyle'd would have sort of given the rest of the team something to fight for, and would have rid the show of its biggest albatross. But to also continue to try to make the most obvious and least appealing pairing work simply because that was the original plan...ugh. These writers could take some notes from Arrow, Veronica Mars, and many other shows where the writers adjusted plans based on what actually worked on-screen.
  13. In regard to your last question about Weevil, As far as more VM material, my understanding is that they would love to do another movie, or short series on Netflix or similar, but in the meantime, Rob Thomas is also writing VM books. The first one comes out on March 25th.
  14. I loved seeing this in the theater--it was a full house for the 9:45 screening last night, and full of fans. It was such a blast to see it with people who were so excited. Like, the reaction to Keith Mars was priceless. People went nuts. I was like, yes, I am in the right place. Other than Logan, who obviously got a major response like every time he was on screen, maybe the biggest reaction was to Leo. That was a great scene. My biggest fear when this all started a year ago was that it wouldn't feel right. That it wouldn't feel like the show, and it would just be awkward and sort of uncomfortable to watch. I forgot all about that fear yesterday, which, as TravisNelson said above, is impressive on its own.
  15. I'm seeing it tonight, but watched my digital download today because I couldn't wait.
  16. OMG, yes. Donna Meagle would love Lavon Hayes so much.
  17. Seems like there are a lot of women who want to do that, but none of them stick around. I'm Team George, himself, but not with Zoe. I don't feel the chemistry there at all, and seeing them kiss actually makes me cringe. I kind of like the idea of him and Lemon doing individual growth arcs and finding their way back to each other someday. Or, hey, AB is single again...
  18. Glad to see her back in the land of the living. She's the only witch I like on this show.
  19. Mother of First-Ever Hybrid spawn! I actually like Hayley so much more than I used to. The only way I judge someone's morality on this show is whether they're trying to hurt/control Hayley or the baby, which makes me care about her by default. But I've also found her relationship with each of the Originals interesting so far.
  20. ...of my heart. Charles Michael Davis is a gift.
  21. Looks like Elijah's into Hayley now, but nothing will replace his true loves: suits, and punching through chest cavities to pull out hearts.
  22. Thrilled to have Lemon back now that Jaime King's leave is over. I really adore her these days, although sometimes I miss evil Lemon.
  23. What can one say about Lavon Hayes? He is simply the greatest, and I want to live in his house or one of the various outbuildings.
