  1. Just wanted to let you all know that I tried liking or applauding your posts, but the site won’t let me 😡 So consider yourselves liked and/or applauded!
  2. Star Wars posted a recipe for the travel biscuits! https://www.starwars.com/news/yellow-travel-biscuit-recipe
  3. I know it was revealed to be Foundling training, but I had to laugh at the whole covert out on the beach beating each other up and shooting at the water - I thought, “is this what they do for fun?” 😄
  4. “What’s the frequency, Roy Kenteth?” 😄
  5. The Star Wars Instagram account actually posted a recipe for pog soup, and dare I say it looks really tasty! Roasted peppers, onions and garlic, spices, coconut milk. I might try making it 👍🏼
  6. There was one Jesus Christ Superstar reference, though - not in the sewer, but earlier in the episode.
  7. The dogfight at the beginning was exciting - I particularly enjoyed R5 succumbing to gravity 😄 And Grogu standing beside Mando’s head as he regained consciousness 🥲❤️ As far as the Dr Pershing story, meh. I enjoyed the worldbuilding (while hoping to see Carson Teva 😄), and I’m hoping that the story will have greater ramifications overall. I found it interesting that some aspects of the New Republic bear uncomfortable similarities to the Empire, but perhaps this is an established fact of which I’m unaware! 😄
  8. It dropped early, fam! It’s out now, at least in the Eastern time zone!
  9. Yes! That was such a powerful line, but so quietly spoken - no drama, no nothing. But it showed how far she’s come on their journey together, how far they both have. I never buy TV seasons on iTunes, but it just came out yesterday and I’m soooo tempted - I watched all the episodes on my computer and I just want to be able to sit on my bed and watch them with my Apple TV 😄
  10. And that scene reminded me of Jurassic Park, when the kids and Sam Neill are up in the tree feeding the brachiosaurus (and then it sneezed on them 😄).
  11. Yes, that’s exactly what I thought while I was watching it. Especially the shots of the shotgun shells/cartridges (whatever) falling around his feet as he walked.
  12. I made a silly little TikTok video about this 😄 https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMYmfRXKv/
  13. This makes me think of the seed archive somewhere in Scandinavia - I think it’s managed by the Norwegian government. (I wish I knew how to do quote tags) The Svalbard Global Seed Vault(Norwegian: Svalbard globale frøhvelv) is a secure backup facility for the world's crop diversity on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergenin the remote Arctic Svalbard archipelago. The Seed Vault provides long-term storage of duplicates of seeds conserved in genebanksaround the world. This provides security of the world's food supply against the loss of seeds in genebanks due to mismanagement, accident, equipment failures, funding cuts, war, sabotage, disease and natural disasters. The Seed Vault is managed under terms spelled out in a tripartite agreement among the Norwegian government, the Crop Trust, and the Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen).
  14. He protecc, he attacc, but most of all he a tasty snacc
  15. I’m partial to “pillock” and “bellend” myself, but I gather the latter is not altogether polite 😄
  16. I’m going to have to watch that one of these days (I read the book years ago so I hardly remember it) - plus Clive Owen is in the movie 😍
  17. And it gets really frickin cold in Alberta in February 😄
  18. Turns out I did *see* it, but I was so focused on Joel and Ellie that I didn’t really *notice* it.
  19. Well, *slaps knees* guess I’ll just have to watch it again to see what I missed!
  20. I think I actually cheered for Ellie when she broke the creep’s fingers! As far as the bullet supply, I’m sure people could melt metal down and make bullets, just like Pa Ingalls did in the Big Woods, but they would need gunpowder too, so that’s where I run out of ideas. As to the fire, the townspeople probably don’t have running water, so how would they fight it? I don’t think snow is particularly effective at extinguishing fire - yes, it is water, but you’d need a whole lot of it to put out a fire of that size. Someone upthread mentioned the town’s proximity to a river, but it’s likely frozen over in the winter.
  21. Wow, that ep went by so quickly for me - I was engrossed and happened to glance at the time, and there were only 12 minutes left!
