That is f*cking brilliant 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
-
As a fellow short girl, I totally got that 😄
-
So did my husband 😄
-
The Tedbecca shippers on Twitter are losing their minds 😄😄😄
-
Also, one of the commentators at the beginning is Gary Lineker, who is a Very Important Person in English football for reasons which somebody more knowledgeable than me can explain here!

I did a quiet “squee” (other people sleeping in my house 😄) when he appeared 😄 I remember seeing the KLM poster, but it didn’t occur to me that he might be a pilot. Well done! And his name is revealed in the end credits to be Matthijs.

It’s 9.03 pm EDT and it hasn’t dropped yet 😡 Hurry up!!!

He definitely said “I stole a loaf of meth”. And the scene with Bex was near the end, when Rebecca opened her front door and greeted a woman standing on the step - that was Bex, Rupert’s wife.
-
And she was giving Roy the eye while she was eating her apple 😄😄😄

A poster upthread said that as a former social worker, she knew a lot of teen mothers who were very close with their children and their relationships often looked like Jamie’s and his mom’s. It makes sense to me that a teen mom would be close to her child(ren) like that, as she would likely still have been almost a child herself when they were born.

It’s perplexing that so many shows can’t seem to find the sweet spot between too many eps per season (Daredevil for example, much as I loved it, was a bit bloated) and too few (many Disney Marvel series IMO). And it’s not even that this season had too many eps, it’s just that they seemed poorly planned, and several of them ended without the plot being advanced in any meaningful way.

Yup, same. I checked Apple TV last night at 8.30 Eastern and it hadn’t dropped yet, but it was there at 9.15 pm.

Not gonna lie, when Jamie was walking down that street with the row houses, I expected to see a Coronation Street character or two pop out 😄

I just had a brilliant idea and I wonder if it will happen this way in the show. Nate goes to Ted’s flat to talk to him, Ted invites him in, and he sees where Ted has kept the framed picture since Nate gave it to him. Nate is immediately overcome with remorse and apologizes to Ted. After that, I don’t know 😄

Does anyone else remember Anthony Head in those Taster’s Choice commercials from the late 1980s? When I first saw him on Buffy, I thought, “hey, it’s the Taster’s Choice guy!” 😄
-
Unless they’re playing a World Cup qualifier in Edmonton at -10C plus windchill 🥶😄 (I think actually they played Costa Rica? I can’t remember)
-
And unless Mexico was playing Canada in Toronto, why the heck were they on the same flight?? /aviation geek
-
Yeah, Anthony Bass, who’s a relief pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays. I akso thought of that when Dani crushed the chips and dumped them out 😄

There’s another interaction between Roy and Jamie that I noticed and thought was nice. When Beard announced that Jamie had been selected for the English team and everybody applauded, Roy clapped for him as well, and then kind of chucked him on the upper arm without saying anything, and Jamie looked at him with a little smile as if to say “thanks bro” 🥰

Now I’m a bad noromo because I didn’t remember that 😄

I laughed out loud at the Peaky Blinders theme. Haven’t finished the ep yet, will be back to comment later. The way Rupert says “Hello, Rebecca” makes me think of the shark from Finding Nemo and how he says “Hello, chum” 😄

I keep remembering the episode when they promoted him to assistant coach - he came into the locker room and found Will there, assumed that he’d been fired, and then when Ted and Beard and Rebecca came along and were just about to give him the good news, he turned on Rebecca and said something like “oh, so you did this, you bitch!!” In most situations, that would have gotten his ass canned immediately.

I believe Rupert asked if she was from southeast Poland, and she confirmed it and said the name of the place she was from.

I forgot to add that “Wagatha Christie” is a good play on words, because in the UK, “WAG” is a common abbreviation for “wives and girlfriends” of football players, and the principles in this court case were the wives of two famous footballers, Wayne Rooney being one of them - I believe he played on the English national team for a long time. I can’t remembe what EPL team he played for, though.
