So many great posts and points made about these last few episodes. I have to agree about TK though, WOW! I never had a problem with Ron Moss..he was Ridge to me, because I have never known any other. That said, TK has started to really take the character and make him something deeper, much more real than just the cartoon playboy that I have always loved to make fun of. TK is showing layers of conflict with Ridge that I never saw with RM's Ridge. As RunTheTable said, that scene with Ridge/Caroline after Eric left them, was everything to me. It truly gave me the FEELS! The way Ridge freely ran his eyes over Caroline when she wasn't aware and said "Rick won't let someone like you go" *Weak at the knees* and telling her that in the car on the way home that he couldn't get the smell of her hair out of his head. *Faint* But the kicker was when he said he never meant to hurt her and he actually got misty eyed and a lump in his throat. TK. Brought. IT. I have always loved LG, and anytime she is on screen I am immediately fixated on her acting. Everything she does to me conveys an emotion. I hope Bradley Bell appreciates her and continues to give her amazing story, she has truly brought out some superb acting in JY and TK.

Either way could be interesting. But what I think will happen is that because Caroline admitted boundaries were crossed (that they ONLY kissed); Rick tends to believe the notions planted by Myrna (Ridge and Caroline did the nasty). So if Rick sleeps with Myrna, it's because he believes his wife has already soiled the marital bed. I think Eric may just hand over FC to Rick and it will be with the stipulation that he work on his marriage to Caroline. That he needs to forgive her and that he needs his wife by his side, and after realizing that in fact it was a few stolen kisses, he can and should forgive Caroline. After all how many times did he and Stephanie forgive each other of the very same things? Rick will concede and attempt to put his all into the marriage and then.....Myrna will come to him saying "SURPRISE! We're pregnant!" Rick will be in a very awkward position and that's when Caroline will turn to Ridge who after showing restraint and trying to get Caroline out of his mind will finally go for it and Caroline feeling completely justified will succumb to what she too has been wanting!

These recaps are gold! The show not so much..., but you make it way better than it actually is on screen, Peach. Thanks for the laughs!

ITA. I don't particularly care to see Miriam in any scene with anyone. Kara Mosley is just awful with her sneering and big eyes. I don't understand what she is trying to convey with those looks. I get that she feels victorious for what she did but a better actress would have had a cool calculated look highlighting her achievement; but all I get is this stupid doe eye Steve Urkel look, with her strained pressed lips smile and "I'm sowweeee" eyes. Ugh. I hate the character...and what I really want is to love to hate her, but the actress is just ruining the whole damn thing for me.

Yaaas! Ridge has history that is very shady where women are concerned. His history with ORC (Original Recipe Caroline) is what makes his relationship with her niece Caroline even more delicious, because there is history that ties them together. Katie is sweet and she has been a good pass for Ridge, but she's not his equal in any way. She doesn't understand his artistic side and that's really where his passion is and what defines him. Evidently Caroline understand this and was able to find it when it was lost. The viewer can see through Ridge's reaction that even he doesn't understand it, but it's not something he can ignore. She has become his muse and honestly he's never really truly had that with any other woman that I can see. Brooke may have been close to it for a time, but she never tapped into his artistic side the way Caroline has and she can embody "the woman" on those canvasses. She is a living breathing design come to life. His ultimate woman imo. He was correct when he told Caroline in a round about way that Rick can't appreciate her the way he can. I'm all in with Caroline and Ridge, where ever it goes...I'm in on this ride!

The actress who plays Myrna is just weak, she has no appeal to me at all and I don't see the vampy sneaky schemer that I think we're supposed to see. She doesn't sell anything to me. I find her expressions ridiculous and her campy delivery just annoys me. I don't love to hate the character I just hate her and it's because of the actress, I can't get into her. If Bradley Bell had been smart he would have gotten Mishael Morgan (Hilary) on YR to come over. She's gorgeous and can act. I think she and Jacob Young would have had some amazing chemistry and she's gorgeous, classy and would have been a believable rival up against Caroline. Kara Mosley is FAIL. To me, Ridge has always been devious and selfish and will go to pretty much any length to get what he wants, especially where FC is concerned. So his behavior with Caroline doesn't surprise me, but what I think he didn't expect was to really be so intrigued by her. It's completely backfired on him. I was one who actually got excited over Katie and Ridge, but this with Caroline and Ridge has completely blown me away, I didn't expect it to work or to grab me so much, it's an unexpected pairing that makes sense and works for me. They are both talented designers, feeding off the other's energy and it has culminated into a real passion and desire. Something about it is really organic and sexy. . I really love how TK and LG are playing this.

I had to pop in from my normal posting at the YR thread to say that today was FIRE on BB. I loved LG and JY today. I was absolutely riveted by both of them and I echo the above poster who implied that LG could be a future heroine of BB. She truly has what it takes imo to have many sl's center around her. I also find myself drawn to any scene she is in with TK. For me she is the first and only actress who has finally made him truly interesting to watch. I have always found him sexy, but with LG he simply sizzles! Oooh let the Ridge/Katie/Rick/Caroline drama begin. Imo that storyline is far more preferable than that insufferable Dope and her waffling between Lame and Low Watt and her pointless baby. I just don't care anymore about that dull broad.

God please no more ABC//AMC rejects. Those two non talented bimbos imo are part of the reason why AMC eventually tanked. MCE is probably already cooing to her CBS exec hubby how it would be so awesome to have her bestie at YR and can he please see if he can help make it happen. Ugh! HATE!

She is channeling a darker Phyllis. She reminds of Sandra Nelson's Phyllis who I f'loved!

Well Mmv, but I would never put Nina Clay in the same category as Anna Devane. As with MW, Finola Hughes is a far better actress than MS and Anna is a much more layered and interesting character.

MW can out act MS any day, even with MW face injected and her face completely frozen. My gawd but is MS awful..she uses the same damn trope she used on YR. It's just Phyllis Summers all over again. Between her and Billy Miller's gritting and grinning, this show is going to be one big hamfest and throw RH in to that mix and it's the supersize meal.

JC didn't give a shit about ratting him out in her own interviews or book. Neither has Peter Bergman.

Runningwild, we'll agree to disagree on EB and how he has conducted his character/negotiations with YR/CBS/Sony. Clearly we'll go round and round. It's good enough that EB's reputation speaks loudly on the subject. I will just reaffirm that JFP deballed him big time and good for her. Speaking for myself, I'm done on the subject. But yes, you are quite right.

Yes this is true. In recent years, EB has had his power stripped and it was high time. JC was the only one who was ever allowed to do it, because as she said she dgaf about EB or his ego. MM did it a few times and that started it rolling. For some to say that EB has never run roughshod on this show is a head scratcher when it is common knowledge in the press, among costars and even on twitter. The man is not shy about throwing his weight around. His outrage at SC not feeling a Victor/Sharon pairing was another example. He has expressed years earlier that he wanted Sharon and Victor..hence that stupid kiss years ago. It wasn't well received and never attempted again, until MAB (another writer he could manipulate) caved and gave into his request. Poor Sharon Case, dared to express her disagreement with it and EB became outraged, complaining to the press about she had tanked it. The man is bully, he doesn't give a shit about being a team player or how his need to have Victor win affects his costars or their characters.

You're kidding me right? If you have been watching this show from beginning and read any interview with EB, you would have seen him say countless times, that Victor is powerful, should always retain his power and that he is to stay triumphant. PB has discussed it, JC put comments about EB in her memoir. Soap bloggers have spilled tea on the man. This is what much of the feud between he and MM was about. MM was sick of EB always having to get his way on set. It's common knowledge..so please don't challenge me on something that is well known. You can do a search yourself and find pages of EB interviews where his ego runs rampant. Proven as in we've seen the contract? No...but well known through costars and insiders, that EB for YEARS has to have the last word in all scenes, his contracts have been negotiated in ways that required him to have yearly a huge sl that allowed Victor to die and come back in a way to exact revenge. This was something even EB has discussed in interviews several times. Victor was to always remain powerful, never lose, always get the upper hand and win a physical fight. That IS dictating story line.

I know it's sacrilege to say anything against MTS, but it's time for her to go. She's become matronly and her talent is gone. I don't believe her as any sort of sexpot who can compete with Christine or any woman for that matter. She's outdated in looks and MTS just doesn't do it for me anymore. Her ugly face crying is just ammo for me to ffwd her. I want Christine to go in serial killer mode and do away with the bitch. Sorry but Nikki Reed Newman and all her damn drama is eating this show. BASTA!!!

Pretty Ricky. Peter Porte was gorgeous and talented. The sheer waste of him still boggles the mind. The other absolute waste was SH as PattyJane. Ricky and Patty were the shit! Never a dull moment with either of them. Fantastic actors and characters!

ITA with you, I know Christine can be grating at times but there is something comforting and familiar to me when I see her. It's old school, YR. I wish they would bring back Nina and let those two gals have a storyline together that doesn't revolve around Pauly tight pants. I always loved when Christine would come over to Nina's apartment and they would gossip or whatever.

She's the next fucking Michelle Stafford, a piss poor actress and hammy. All that damn screeching, whining, gasping and eyelash batting. The bitch has the shoulders of a damn linebacker, stubby legs and no damn eyebrows. I just can't with her. She has great hair and that is about it. She's just a fucking waste of good air time imo. WORD! Bitch wanted to be the next EB and her character to be the female Victor Newman and she was for a time. She was shoved front and center into every storyline whether it warranted her or not. Who can forget the stupid digging in the landfill for evidence with everyone there to support and cheer her on as the bestest mother ever! Bitch please. She can stay on her suck ass web show where her talents are so greatly needed. I guarantee no one at YR is beating a path to her door or missing her or her damn bullying antics and hamfisted scene chewing. She even said herself "No one has asked me to stay" Righty O...they held the door for her! Girl bye!

Bill Bell had his weaknesses yes, but where he was smarter than most? He knew when to drop something or branch off and abandon something that wasn't working. Often times it was seamless and because the writing was so wonderful and had the ability to draw a community together, you almost didn't notice something hadn't worked or that he was dropping it. He would just arc off into something new. Today, writers will push and push something to the point it breaks the show. All writer's have agenda's and Bill Bell certainly had one in wanting to make his daughter a star. I don't blame him too much, he wanted his show to be a family affair. He caught plenty of backlash for pushing her and in fact Terry Lester was quite vocal about it. Still Bell made damn sure the writing could support her weaknesses. Cricket was never a riveting character but the storylines she was involved in were all wonderful. As for his sets and music, another genius. That whole style is what set his shows apart from any others. Even the casting was always top notch. Not just anyone got to be on his show. They all had that Bell look to them, glamourous and striking, worthy of that camera zoom in! Now we get these subpar looking folks who can't even use that to distract from their piss poor acting. I miss the day of the glamour, top notch glittering sets, mood lighting that draws you in, glamourous hair and makeup! The show was always a visual feast. Genoa City and the sets were as much a character as the character's themselves. Bill Bell never let you forget that Jabot was a character, and one to be fought over by the Newmans and the Abbotts. He did this by letting the camera set on a beautiful perfume bottle, maybe just a shot of the lab. A beautiful display. Bill Bell made those things real for us. We became invested. It is why his show's are the most famous not just here in the States but abroad as well. What other soaps have that notoriety? Even the theme to the show is the most haunting and recognizable in daytime. The time slot helps for sure, but I doubt even the other soaps would still be able to touch the golden standard set by The Young and the Restless. DM was a fantastic writer as well and his work like Bell's stood the test of time. His rules are golden and should be followed by any writer..still he didn't have the touch that Bill Bell did. DM could craft story, but imo he didn't have an eye for the attention to detail that Bill Bell did. Again, look at the sets, the glamour, the lighting and the music on YR during its hey day. It is why so many sat up and took notice. YR was a NEW way in daytime, a game changer.

The simple truth is, Bill Bell and his brilliant mind is what made YR #1. The fact that it remains there, is nothing more than the goodwill attached to his name and legacy and the beloved characters he created that are still there, Jill, Victor, Nikki, Jack, Nick, Sharon just to name a few. This is clearly evidenced by the shitfest it has become now and no amount of fantastic acting can cover that up. I don't care how many MM's or BM's you bring in, the show is not what it once was.

More unpopular opinions, As much as I loved Michael Muhney's Adam Newman, he was not the show. Same for Billy Miller. Yes they were both great but there was a YR before them. Contrary to popular belief among some, they didn't make YR #1. That status was carried by those who came before them.

I found MS, saggy lopsided freely swaying, never in a bra, hanging down to her navel tits way more distracting than SC's eyes. It's been said by Sharon Case herself that as soon as she found out that her character was supposed to have a mental illness that she would incorporate strange looks or behavior. This is a deliberate acting choice by her. MS otoh never alerted us to the fact that her tits would be used at every turn to assault or gross out viewers or that she would be brushing them up against JM at every turn. I guess we were supposed to find her alluring when she would stoop over to let a young Kyle peer through the deep low valley of her rapidly aging cleavage. Thank JEEZUS her face, her snout and her tits are gone. That bovine Phyllis in a coma is the gift that keeps on giving. Well there was one episode where she screamed so loudly it was as if she were passing a boulder through her urethra, it was when she lost her blueberry. Lawdy that was the most embarrassing piece of shit I have ever witnessed on a daytime soap. I can't even imagine what the cast and crew thought when MS was writhing around on the floor screeching her head off. Clearly this woman never did her research on miscarriages.
