I'm so glad that LG is alright. Considering how this accident happened, she's a very fortunate young woman to stlil be alive and to have gotten away with the injuries she sustained. It's not good, but could have been so much worse. God Bless her and her sweet one, I hope she makes a full recovery with no long term damage to her legs. Mileage and all that, but I definitely saw chemistry in the beginning when TK and KKL when he made his grand debut with Brooke and Ridge on the steps. I remember thinking wow...this might actually work. I don't know though, somewhere along the way it fell flat and maybe it's because it was too soon to have THIS Ridge coming out of the gate with KKL, when viewers had only ever know RM's Ridge with her. Maybe that's what all of this moving Ridge about with Katie and now Caroline is about, tiic are trying to let TK get settled and truly in the role. It seems to me that they are still in the process of fleshing Ridge out and separating him from RM's Ridge. I don't know that I see hostility with TK, I think he's trying. I'll cut him some slack because he's got big shoes to fill and there's the whole supercouple status of Brooke/Ridge that I'm sure he's aware of.

Now if they'd brought out some flavored body lotions and rubbed it on and let this viewer imagine where they were gonna paint...THEN I might have been all in with it. Your whole post was spot on for me, but especially these parts I've quoted. They are extremely seductive and natural. I believe them as a couple and so yeah, I don't need all that hokey music and painting. I like the romance of it all, but small doses work better. I really like this Caroline. I no longer see her as that silly girl as you said who was constantly seeking approval with her selfies and tweets. This woman has just created a successful fashion line and that has to be very validating. Ridge seems to bring out great qualities in her and it seems that she's finally comfortable with herself. ITA that Ridge is glowing, the smile lights up his face and his eyes twinkle when she's around. TK is doing a great job of portraying the comfortable place Ridge is in now. He seems at peace in his new loft and at peace with Caroline. OTOH, Maya and Rick imo, bring out the absolute worst in each other. I don't see either of them as anything but insipid mean children who are thoroughly enjoying stomping all over anyone who dares to come into their playground and challenge their "meanness" Both of them are on an ugly power trip. There's nothing amusing about these two assholes mistreating Ally or anyone for that matter. This all started because Caroline shared a kiss with Ridge. Yeah..I get it...Rick is hurt but enough is enough. Time to suck it up, grow up and move on already. Maya is simply pathetic. There's nothing grand about her on the arm of this punk.

This whole post is exactly how I feel, thank you for stating it so perfectly. Mileage may vary, but imo this is not the same Ridge, not just because TK is playing him, but because he's actively being written as more than that spoiled shallow self indulgent playboy of years past. Ridge will always have his flaws and history but I think Brad Bell really wants this to be a new Ridge, I wish the hair and makeup department would glam up KKL a bit more. If I'm supposed to believe she's this sexy hard to resist siren then I'm gonna need her to get some oomph in that lifeless hair then a bit more glam to the makeup and an outfit that showcases those assets of hers. C'mon show..make me believe Brooke can be a true rival for Caroline, Quinn and anyone else; because right now she looks tired and in need of some serious Estroven laced Fava beans chased down with a nice Chianti. Mr. Trip watched the episode on return from his travels and he commented how TK must really hate his job right now. The guy must go home btichin everyday about what a tough time he's having opposite that unsexy, homely little LG. ;-)

I remember now why I loved having KKL gone. Because anytime Brooke is around it's always about her having to have a man...and usually it's Ridge or she's breastfeeding Rick and trying to save him from someone...now it will big bad Caroline. I think most of Brooke's Revenagenda is about her tired raggedy and surely by now menopausal ass being replaced by the young fresh nublile Caroline Spencer who is the niece of the biggest adversary she could never really compete with. The thing is I love KKL, I think Brooke is a character who could be so much more than the sum of who is in her vagina. I'm just no interested in seeing her chasing Ridge again, been there done that and mileage may vary for some around here but I see very tepid chemistry with TK and KKL; certainly not the five alarm heat that TK and LG are bringing. Rick needs to stop with his "I've been so wronged" act. Ridge is not the big bad monster...most of Rick's issues are of his own complex and his mother's sexual nonsense being paraded under his nose. That would warp any kid, but in terms of being wronged and in Ridge's shadow, well try being Thorne. The man has never been give a chance to do much of anything in that company, certainly not at the right hand of Eric's throne. Rick needs to shut the fuck up like yesterday. I could do without Steffy and her hypocrisy. She forgets that she was happy to be on her back under a man who is old enough to be her father at one time. Bitch can miss me with her damn "hear me roar" bull shit and then suddenly she's whining about Liam and their great love. I didn't miss her either. You bring up some valid points and I would certainly love to see a situation like you describe (another designer wanting to jump ship to Forrester) but as far as I know this show has never touched on this. The closest we ever got was Spectra stealing designs and or trying to lure away designers (someone please correct me if I'm wrong, as there have been times I haven't watched faithfully) I think it would be great to see a situation like what is happening with Adidas/Nike play out (Adidas luring 3 of Nike's top designers away) and Ridge/Caroline walk to start their own company or are lured away by a rival and then summarily dragged into a huge legal battle when Rick sues them for breach of contract and taking Forrester trade secrets with them. Talk about soapy and delicious,and oh how it would up the ante in this brotherly feud.

I agree that just like Rick, Ridge can and has had his own childish and out of control power trips...but I don't agree that Ricky could hire a project runway reject and it would be all good. FC (as the viewers are led to believe) is high end, unrivaled couture with a certain panache in their designs. It's why Ridge is heralded as the greatest designer (in this fictional world). So some wet behind the ears newbie is not going to be able to just come in and capture that and or try to pass it off as FC. I doubt they'd have the sales and succes they just came off of with Ridge/Caroline's recent collection. That's why I find it so foolish that Rick is doing everything he can to piss off his top designers. If Ridge/Caroline left they would quickly be snapped up by another fashion house, or they could start their own company and be fine. Ymmv and all that, but from my perspective..Rick needs them..they don't need him. Excellent example! TK could totally pull the Tom Ford look and I much prefer that!

Meh...after the way Ricky has treated Ridge/Caroline upon becoming world leader...er CEO of Forrester Creations, I've got no probs with Ridge taking a 'tude with Ricky. In any sort of fashion house, you'll have temperamental designers that is their nature.. Ricky would have shit to 'run' if it weren't for the designers in that company, that's his bread and butter. So he'd do good to sit his little Napoleonite ass down and rethink his juvenile approach to things. He's lucky the designers haven't walked out on his ass for taking the personal issues in his life and using them in business to bully and punish. I don't see any power here, I see a punk in his Daddy's chair. WTF is Maya so hung up on being the matriarch? First of all it generally takes years to become a respected matriarch of a family and usually they are direct lineage born of said matriarch (although not always). The Forresters are not Maya's blood or her family so probably not girl...but you keep reaching for those stars! I suspect Brooke is gonna check this girl hard. I think Ron Moss slim build and natural carriage helped with his version of Ridge. Let's be real here, RM is a flamboyant man and so what we saw on screen wasn't all acting. TK doesn't have near the same build or carriage, but it wouldn't hurt to dress TK with a bit more polish. It's sort of sad to see JY/Rick looking more stylish and there is TK with a suit that looks like Columbo could have been wearing it first. I still love TK's Ridge though; I never thought Ron Miss me was this sexaaaay! And I sure as shit don't think he would have been able to sell any of what's currently happening on screen.

All of this! I got such a laugh out of Carter poking fun at Maya's pathetic ass. He cracked her face hard when he so astutely figured out that she had to practically pull the ILY out of Ricky. But my goodness she's a presumptuous little twit..the way she waltzes into the office and starts throwing her weight around like she's all that and a bag of chips. WTF does she know about Ridge? She's been in the Forrester circle for all of five minutes and there she is yapping at Ridge like a rabid little chihuaha Rick tosses out of his purse when he needs defending. What has she done except sleep with the CEO? I need her to take several seats and cross her cankles and stay put. I don't by any means see Caroline or Ridge as innocent..sure they may have started all of this, but the way Rick and Maya behave makes it so hard for me to root for them on any level. Both are so crass and distasteful in their behavior.

Your whole post...it's like you're in my head! TK/LG are gaw--geous together and for all the reasons you stated! Archie comics hold a very special place in my heart and as a child I devoured them. I loved both Betty and Veronica, but Veronica was a bit more of a naughty minx. I think Kara is beautiful too. She has a doll like face. That's what I've been saying.. what's okay for Eric is okay for Ridge. Age ain't nuthin' to me...if it's there...it's there and it's THERE for Ridge and Caroline! I have to agree with you about KM/JY, I just don't see the chemistry and it's not for lack of trying on her part, but JY just comes across as so flat in their scenes. He's not selling to me that Rick is or was ever into Maya. Or maybe that is how it's supposed to be played...Rick is still in love with Caroline (which is more what I believe) and he's simply going through the motions with Maya. Her kisses are much more passionate and he just seems to sort of give them back with a half hearted response. Someone up thread mentioned Rick comes across so much more masculine with Caroline and that's exactly how I see it; although I never want Caroline with that twerp again. ETA: Ooh those spoilers! I'm excited!

There is a reason that YR was the gold standard of daytime. The lighting was exceptional and really cast the right mood for every scene. The actors were cast beautifully and had a certain Bell-esque look to them. The sets were lush and there was detail in everything down to the fresh flowers. I've always said that each set was its own character, we came to love them and understand their place in the show. Without those sets, the scenes would not be the same. No other daytime soap had the exquisite musical score that YR had, haunting and soft. Even the characters/couples had their own music and when you heard it...you knew who you were going to see. Oh those days... Bill Bell was the consumate storyteller and there will never be another like him.

That said....OH MY GERD!!! I finally got my Caroline and Ridge kissing like they both needed some fresh air in those deprived lungs! "Say what you want" Yaaaas! I don't care 'bout nuthin' else....just get her Ridge! Kiss that baby so hard that top bun uncoils. Mileage varies and all but THIS would never ever be as compelling or sexy with Ron Moss. No way, no how. Kudos to TK for breathing some fresh sexy air into a character that had become tired and worn out. I am loving THIS Ridge Forrester and I love that he is finally shown to have at least some sense of self awareness. It doesn't erase his past mistakes, because that's history, but moving forward I would love to see him have more depth and to at least be about one woman (for a while anyway). I have no desire to see Brook/Ridge for the millionth time. Speaking of Brooke, I love KKL but I'm not in any hurry for her to come back and break the wonderful spell that has been woven in her absence. This show is popping on all cylinders with her gone and the good riddance of KM. Still I know she's coming and I just hope she keeps her mitts off Ridge. I know she can't be without a man for long. I've been trying to rack my brain who Kara Mosley looks like and she's adorable, but her face reminds me of Betty and Veronica from the Archie comics. For those grossed out by Caroline and Ridge is it the age difference or TK himself? I personally find him ultra sexy. The way he moves and talks and uses his body language to convey emotions. He's dreamy and I don't mind at all the age difference. There are a lot of women who dig older men and if Eric can hook up with women young enough to be his daughter (Donna) then Ridge can as well. The person who grosses me out is Rick..he's such a little beady eyed punk with a bad haircut and his pouting is just over the top and a huge turn off. I'm no Myrna fan but I sort of feel sorry for her at this point that she thinks he's some catch. If there's something to be learned here it's just how vindictive he can be when he's felt betrayed. I think Rick may love Myrna on some level, but he's not passionately and deeply in love with her. What he loves is the adoration and worship and pedestal that she puts him on. Rick has many unresolved feelings of low self esteem and self worth. It's why he constantly needs validation from his father and his women.

Re read my post please. I never said I expected Myrna's sister to be pro Caroline. I'm hoping that the sister's just don't get along. I as a non Myrna fan would love to see her sister come to town with her OWN agenda, one that does not support Myrna. I'd love to see Myrna squirm at the hands of someone who really knows the deal on her. Not all sisters get along, at least not in my family. Mileage an all that, but I don't see Caroline as racist. I see her as a snob sure, but not racist. Your whole post but especially the bolded parts. Kara Moslely is a bit more enjoyable to watch lately but I still don't care for her acting. The grinning and goofy faces take me right out, because it's the same trope over and over with her and I find myself simply annoyed rather than entertained. LG has really come into her own and I think that she really could be the next great heroine of the show. I never found KM all that great of an actress, pretty to look at but not much else; with LG I am riveted to her scenes. Funny how having both Logan women gone can be like opening up with the windows and letting some fresh air in. I don't miss either of them either. I like KKL just fine, but this break from her has been wonderful!

I can't stand this bitch either. She was something today telling Ivy that she was trying to 'act all innocent' when later it was she who strolled through the shelter with a side ponytail looking all doe eyed, trying to act like she was the essence off innocent. Then there was the crack she made to Rick that the only reason Ivy came by her apartment was to 'judge me'. Interesting that no one can judge her but that was exactly what she was doing to Caroline and Ridge and they really had only shared a few klssess. Myrna really needs to climb down off that pedestal she's put herself on. I could appreciate her game if she weren't so damn smug all the time. She's only a mistress and she's acting like she's the next Stephanie Forrester. This girl needs to have a few stadiums seats because she just doesn't have it like that. I sort of hope that when her sister arrives it's to cause a shitload of trouble for Myrna. I don't expect her to be team Caroline, but I sure as shit hope she has a bunch of dirt on her sister. I'm personally rooting for a murder down the road and hope it's Myrna they find murdered. I've had about enough of her trifling ass and those goofy grins aren't doing her any favors. I actually felt bad for Wyatt today and was glad to see Ivy comfort and remind him that he lost a child too. Was it just me or did her eyes scan over his face as if she was seeing him in a new way? Maybe there will be some chem testing with these two or a teasing of a relationship? I really wish they'd roll Oliver and Ally out more. I miss those two and think they need more story. The actress who plays Ally is a model in real life. I'd love it if they would consider Ally for some modeling and give Myrna something to sweat about in her career. She loves to lord it over everyone how she's the lead model. Fred Willard is all sorts of goofy but I do think he and Pam could be cute together.

I was so excited to see today's eppy, but sadly the whole thing fell flat for me. Othello is like a block of wood and I'm tired of Myrna and her goofy grins as she gushes about little Pricky. This chick is just delighted to be a kept mistress and honestly aside from the view, that apartment isn't all that. The Forresters are loaded and considering how much money Myrna's sugar daddy has, this apartment with the tub in the living room is still low brow. I don't have feelings one way or the other about JY as Rick, but something about his constant pouting and whiny voice bugs; I can't take him seriously as anything other than a spoiled little man child. I don't get the appeal of him for either woman. I get that TK is not sporting rock hard abs or a youthful face, but there is something very manly and commanding about him that I dig and if I were Caroline, there would just be no contest for me. Ivy should have put a finger on Rick's forehead and reminded his ass that she is a Forrester by blood and he's got no hold over her, then she should have told him she was going straight to her Uncle Eric to tell him about the shenanigans with Myrna. Just got caught up on the last few eps and oh my! Ridge's hot daydream is what I'm talking about! If I must wait for the actual consumation of this relationship then so be it, but keeping bringing me these teasing neargasms. I know that once it really does happen the full release of my soapgasm will be worth it! I could do Ridge/Caroline all day! Rick is such a little prick isn't he? He takes Caroline back but won't do the deed with her, meanwhile he's shuffling over to the shady mistress pad he bought for Myrna. If bitch had any dignity and sense in her head she would see that apartment for what it is; a gift to placate her and keep her from opening her trap and a place for Rick to come rut with her when the mood hits. Brooke is off the grid but once she comes back, Bill will have his head turned again by her. Bill wants all of his toys and so does Brooke. I'm not ready to see Brooke and Katy fight over Bill.

If Bradley was trying to show what a star crossed couple Hope/Liam were today, it was totally lost on me. All it did was make me think what a selfish self serving pair of putrid pricks Liam and Hope are. Here Wyatt, Liam's brother is grieving over the loss of his baby and all Liam can do is suck face with Hope. Clearly Brad, was giving the Hope/Liam fans their grand goodbye and a big middle finger to the Hope/Wyatt shippers. All I felt was disgusted. As for Hope, well I never really cared much for her, so she just reaffirmed the spoiled nasty self righteous bitch I always thought she was. The only person I felt for today was Wyatt, having to deal with an obsessed meddling mother who has built her whole existence around him. It's clear that he had to be the adult in that relationship, to take care of her and also please her. He never really learned to live and make decisions for only himself. I hope with Hope gone and maybe Quinn getting institutionalized for a time, that Wyatt can really live for himself now. Maybe he'll meet the right girl.. a girl who will love him and only him. I don't think he's all bad, just emotionally stunted by a toxic mother and toyed with and used by the wrong girl. Hope can stay gone. THIS! I thought he was a great Billy, but the constant backlash that came when he left was over the top. The guy wanted to use the show as an ATM if things didn't pan out in hollywood and well he just wasn't that great to warrant such a deal. Either shit or get off the pot and I thought his little grinning and hamming it up was getting old anyway. He only had either drunk mode or grin mode and it was a stale. David Tom had a tough gig to step into, because it was obvious AH wasn't feeling him and she sort of poo-poo his return. I thought DT had amazing chemistry with Jess Walton and Peter Bergman. I also thought DT was the only male actor that could have finally made MCE look good..they had a nice dynamic.
