Jennifer often looks like she's sucking on a sour lemon. Most people would be ecstatic about finding a cabin, like Adam, Evan, Gerrid, and Christine were, but not so for pursed lemon lips Jennifer and her side eye glancing Andrew. That's terrifying to them. They should do some math and figure it out that yes, they are the ones driving the community away. Not the other way around. They seem to be the common denominator they don't want to admit to themselves that they are. To try to deny hard worker Adam and Evan enough meat protein is disgusting. He who rules over the food, rules over the people. Adam was noticeably thinner, but ole lemon lips tried to keep clinging tightly to all the food cache. Andrew is such a strange wimp of a ruler. Nobody even brought up Oliver. Did they think he just walked home? Wouldn't a helicopter or something have made a big noise coming to pick up who they banished, alerting them to his safe departure? He's just wandering around in the wilderness with the wrong shoes (moccasins). He really needs some warm waterproof foot gear. I can't believe there's only one more episode. I guess it's going to get pretty hairy next week! I'm glad they all told the little king and queen how uncomfortable they make them all feel. The vibe definitely gets tense when they are around.

Oh boy, what a couple of humorless, stern, wussy cowards Andrew and Jennifer are! I'm not surprised at all tho that they were too cowardly to even be on camera, sloughing off the mean, daunting task, of asking Oliver to leave, up to Gerrid! What nerve!! I'd have told them to do it themselves. It was their idea and they seem to think they are the precious king and queen rulers of the group. Gerrid is too nice. Good for you Adam, sticking up for Oliver and voicing your gut feeling about it all instead of giving in to the Royal Asse's. You're right Neurochick. Oliver said he's been on his own since he was 14. Looks like he said it last week and I just saw it on the "previously" start up of the show. Eww that ruling couple! I really can't find too much to admire about them. I don't think I'd want to be a part of that community if they were the (self appointed) heads.

I think you're right about Oliver, NEUROCHICK.

Alaskan Bush People - General Discussion

Bird had a collection of Star Wars collectables that Noah never knew about. Yeah. Ok. I believe that. Where's she been storing this collection all these years? The one her brother who she's lived with day in day out for decades hasn't a clue she has. We never even got to see these costumes she traded that bath tub for. The ones she's claimed to have had all along. You know Damn well she would have been prancing around the forest in her princess Leia costume if she really had one. Teaching us how to take showers with clothes on by washing from the top down was ridiculous too. I've got to say I've never seen her with dirty greasy hair before. They have not lacked in hair care. I love that Noah and his wife Raiyn have such a good relationship. Being best friends while married is the way to make it last. Good for them! Bear hasn't tried to tone down his childish extremism after losing his prospective wife to his insanity. Always performing for the cameras like a monkey using that windmill like a jungle Jim to flip and swing on. I was afraid he was going pull it down. -
What a couple of dour downers Andrew and Jennifer are. Speaking of mind reading, they seem to both be champions at that type of passive aggressiveness. I feel sorry for Oliver. He just seems like the kind of person that never fit in, anywhere, but wants to. He's been a loner so long that he doesn't have the skills other than walking away at first sign of rejection to protect himself from any more emotional pain. He wants so bad to find a nitch with the social world. I'm hoping he does with this group. Won't happen tho if Jen and Andrew keep up their disapproval , nitpicking, and cold shoulder attitudes with adults who have differing ideas, and a brain of their own. I didn't know when this show started that there was going be "people in charge" of the others. I thought it was going to basically be a group of like minded survivalists. Not slaves sent to the Jen and Andrew needs food etc before winter, club.

Alaskan Bush People - General Discussion

Also, seeing someone being dragged by that ostrich on previews looked kind of funny. I thought some fool was trying to catch an ostrich. Gabe is so lucky he didn't get killed by those killer kicking ostrich legs he managed to evade. Good thing he pulled that Bird to the ground and escaped. The terror in his voice yelling WHAT SHOULD I DO?!! was the most real thing on this show I've ever seen. Except for poor Bears broken misguided heart. He's finally realizing always acting like ass isn't necessarily a good thing. Hopefully he will find someone just for him who can howl at the moon and love being in the presence of someone vying for a gold medal in EXTREMENESS in being the joker entertaining the troops all the time. Rains maple syrup candy making is what we used to call "sugar on snow". We'd get a pan of hard packed snow and pour the well boiled syrup onto it when it had reached the soft ball stage in candy makers terms. That way it stayed on top of the snow and quickly formed into semi-solid taffy consistency globs. Not watery snow balls with syrup added. -

I felt genuinely bad for Bear this episode. It doesn't look like anyone ever told him it's not cool to be so EXTREME in every little thing you do. They try to out do each other in their mountaineer life, lore, and back to the earth lifestyle so much, that clueless Bear thinks he will be praised for his always outrageous actions. They have done him no favors in laughing and encouraging his childishness. Not attractive to the opposite sex. Bird and her dead animal bone tree is flipping weird. The disgusting dinner she prepared for her cats was just another quest to appear outrageous and cool. Not! The stink from the million cats peeing, and crapping in that tiny airtight birdbox must be overwhelming. I'm sure the smell must cling to her. Not good for her either. I know for a fact that cat box smell can cause depression with it's anti-aroma therapy effects. It works the opposite of what aroma therapists use to lift spirits and make people healthier mentally and physically. -
I agree about women being encouraged to have more pleasing personalities. I'll never forget how telling it was when I happened upon a televised high school graduation on a public channel the total difference between the girls and the boys attitudes when being handed their diplomas. Every single girl was all smiley and thanking the one who handed them out , while every single guy up upon their turn for the hand off, suddenly took on a stoic, resting dick face , like they deserved and expected this honor and were less inclined to thank the person, and more of an attitude the hander outer, should be feeling the gratitude towards THEM. Except for the noticeable class clowns. They were the only males acting naturally. Smiling and thanking. As for male to female ratio in Alaska I don't know I've never researched the statistics. It may vary for area to area. All I know is the area Evan went to had more available young females and have a yearly bachelor calender made and have a town auction single men can put themselves in while the girls all make bids to win a date. It's a real fun time. Evan was in one of those auctions and the winning bid was made by the girl he is with now, with their new beautiful son.

I too wonder how Gerrid and Christine were the chosen ones for that great new shelter. I too am hoping Christine stops with the constant forced giggling and over the top "good natured-ness". She sure is looking all googly eyed at Gerrid and he's lapping it up. He also seemed to stress that he was looking forward to having her as a "friend". Seems to me like he's making sure to friend-zone her right off the bat. Oliver. What can I say? It's clear he has zero people skills and isn't meant for communal living and sharing group goals. I'm just glad we didn't have to listen to him sucking down his sinus infection produce this week like we did last week. I also wonder why the bear and other animals did not touch that giant moose heart. Makes me think I wouldn't want to eat it either. Animals know stuff. Adam is a real gem. I hope Andrew and Jennifer don't bum him out with their leadership non skills. That was insane Jennifer had something negative to say to Adam when he bagged that grouse about getting used to having less and get used to having just her rice with a bean dish, cause that's the way it's gonna be with the provisions. She looks well fed and like she's not been missing meals. I suspect a hidden KitKat bar stash. She and Andrew do look as tho they have planned exactly what they want to extract from the group's individuals. On their own terms. Best of luck to you Evan (and everyone there) on this endeavour. I have a friend who's son named Evan also, who moved to Alaska years ago and started out helping a friend build hunting cabins. For hunter traveling tourists. He now has his own 20 acres that he just built a huge cabin on for he and his girlfriend and their new adorable son. He's done mighty well for himself up there. Single men are a huge commodity up there, so choose well if and when you do. (All the guys in this group actually). You'll have alot to choose from if you ever get a chance to go to a main town with a bigger population. All in all, I'm enjoying this show lol. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hey! Thank you for starting this topic LittleIggy! Glad to see this new show starting because the end of the Alone season is always a sad thing to bear. I wonder how Oliver felt getting stuck in that mud, thigh deep in his costume. Not too comfortable I bet. Lol. I thought he was going to need help extracting himself from that quicksand-like glop. Bagging a moose is the only way he may get back in the good graces of the clan, but staying there for beaver was a stupid choice. He's also forcing them to have to return to him later to pick him up. He sure does think he's special. Evan was quick to throw him under the bus when he got back to camp.

Congratulations Roland! I had the feeling that musk ox would last till the bitter end and it did, as we saw him share some marrow with his sister. Good for you to see yourself as a not perfect son to your parents and admit it to yourself while you had all that time to think. I hope it helps in your future relationships with other people. It was a win well deserved. Callie was scary skinny by the time the medical team forced her to tap out. Her face was so devoid of fat, I wonder what the rest of her body was like. I also wondered why she didn't take some extra furs or something out with her when ice fishing to wrap around her feet while she was just sitting on the ice. That might have given her a little extra time to fish before having to return to camp for a toe warming session. Keilyn I was surprised to see leave when she did. I guess we will never know what happens to the mind when out there alone in the cold so close to the finish line. All in all they all did wonderfully and it was a great season, except for the graphic animal killing and rendering. Congratulations to all of you!
-
Roland had a darn right pleasant look upon his face on the after show this episode.
-
Oh I agree fully that is a good thing Roland utilized every single part of that musk ox. Just seeing him handling that mutilated head tho, made me think of every/any animal ever killed for food. It didn't seem to be gross. It was gross, and I am thankful I've never had to do it to survive. Gave me a new understanding of the mindset of vegetarians, vegans, tho no vegetarian could survive in that environment.
-
Oh yeah, watching, or rather, NOT watching, diverting my eyes, Roland with that musk ox head almost made me think seriously about becoming a vegetarian. That was horrific!

Bulent does rock. He also was the most entertaining of the group. Cute French bulldog he has there. I did notice Queen Gwen was champion sitter arounder. When ever she did anything other than sit, it was in super slo-mo speed. They were so quick to banish Bulent for not sticking to their schedule for him without knowing why he didn't show up early in the morning after his hyena night, they seemed banish driven towards him for sure. They did sound silly for banishing him after he already said he had decided to go his own way again. They just had to get that last word in out of spite. I was waiting to see their last survival scores, and individual weight loss numbers. I wonder why they left that part out.

Well, Bulent is out there up to his old tricks of winning friends and influencing people, lol. Calling Makani, broccoli. Lol. That didn't sit well with the rest. He was quick to claim Sarah started yelling and screaming and barking at him. I didn't see or hear anything like that from Sarah. He sure is on the defensive 100% of the time. Always an ass. A lucky one tho, with that huge catfish.
-
I think Callie? is the one racking up the good karma points by allowing that adorable short tailed weasel to share her abode as welcome company, and not see it as dinner. Four rabbits for her! That was an amazing haul for one day. It pays to be nice to weasels!
-
I'm thinking how can Roland NOT win?! That puss he wears in the after show with the resting bitch face must really be ego posturing, if he did win. He's got a years supply of meat with that musk ox in that impenetrable meat stash locker he so artfully crafted. Great work Roland!
-
I agree. I think he knew Sethhole was about to relent on his strict "bow" rule. That's why he let him have the prepared water. Plus, it would have looked super schmucky not to give a "dying" man, water.
-
Yes, Suzaahns teeth are unnaturally blinding white. Obvious tooth whitening going on there before her stint on N&Axl. She better be careful with that and may find later that her tooth enamel has been thinned and damaged. I feel bad for her with those burnt tops of feet. That is extremely painful. That happens to my feet too, but never to that extent. No wonder she looked like animated bird hopping from stone to stone when they walked up to Wes and Gwens area. She is absolutely skin and bones now and I hand it to her for still having as much energy to work as she does. I have to admit that I am enjoying Bulents loner role and his sarcastic humor. He does not suffer fools easily. Lol He may be a schmuck socially, but he isn't wrong about his perceptions of the people he interacts with there and his dry sarcastic humor cracks me up. He was also very compliant when Sethhole asked him to not be in the water while he was heading to his napping blind for his daily hunt snore fest. He also didn't have to hand Seth his boiled, prepared and cooled drinking water. Could have told him to be more prepared while in a desert and that he wasn't his new nursemaid slave.
-
The part I laughed at was Seth falling to the ground saying "water.. water" at Bulents pad, lying there like he was dying. All an act to get Bulents prepared water he had no right to. Then he pops up quite animated to drink it. He first acted like Bulent was going to have to hand feed his dying body the water he begged for because he didn't have his slave, Suzaaahn supplying clean water to his lazy ass. He's a fake who I think does this to do a crash diet because he has no self restraint in that wart hog blubber body he had to soak in mud holes to cool off in.

I agree with all you said. I cannot believe what an idiot moron Steve, Emily's father is. How dare he put that diver in jeopardy trying to get him to work harder and faster to try and keep his own body temperature higher. I'd have come up and punched his lights outs if he ever pulled that crap on me. Then he was singing "I'm the king of the world ", or universe, or whatever. He acted like he was drunk or drugged. I can't believe Emily tried to cover up for his intentional lawbreaking of endangering the divers life, by saying be was a good person, if you knew him better. I agree Kris Kelly should ditch that toxic father whom I wouldn't trust with a flake of gold. I'm sure he's the kind of father that would steal gold when no ones looking. Shaun too. His dad is a bully and an ass. I can't stand Ken either. I'm praying Shaun beats him in gold this year. I like Verne. Missed him tonight.

Makani is from Massachusetts Wow. I've never heard an accent like that from Massachusetts. Taiwan maybe, but not an American accent from anywhere in these states. It's as if she's struggling with the language at one moment, and just like one of the girls the next moment. When she talks to the girls. I think quiet struggling accent is reserved for talking to men.
-
"Sethhole". Lol! Yeah that was pretty obnoxious of him to tell her to keep it down and tippy toe around his morning napping time. I can't WAIT for Suzzahn to watch these episodes and find out he'd been napping in the blind all these times he claims to be "hard at work" with all his hunting. She has NO clue about how HUGE of a Sethhole he really is. Yet.
