  1. I like how Matt just admitted that if Amy sold her part, he'd basically give up moving away and Caryn whined about it. It's always been obvious he doesn't want to move, he just wants control of the whole thing. And yeah sorry but Caryn's fake nice act wears thinner and thinner every week. I'm still rolling my eyes at her and Matt's attempt to make it seem like them talking to Amy during the pumpkin season event could kick something off when Amy didn't say a single thing and it was fine. Amy's not the one with the issue, miss "I hope they don't invite us to the wedding." That being said, this whole "what to do with the farm" storyline is starting to irritate me. Both of them need to sh*t or get off the pot, as my dad would say. If you don't want to move or sell, just don't. If you really want the other one gone, tell them that. This back and forth is getting to the point where I like both of them less and less the longer it goes on.
  2. I'm so glad I wasn't the only one. Like, you can't afford a new one, WTF did you just leave it there??
  3. The dog trying to eat a poopy diaper was disgusting, but so was Tori just tossing it away instead of finding a trash can to put it in. And then of course the dog got it again! That was one of the grossest things I've ever seen and I'm not referring to the dog.
  4. I don't believe for a single second Matt is interested at all in leaving that farm. He wants total control over all of it, he wants Amy gone, but that is his life's work and his pride and joy and something he can use to maintain control over the entire family. You couldn't pay me to believe Matt is interested at all in selling his portion whether Amy does or not.
  5. I'm guessing it's because he didn't come to America to work those kinda jobs!!! So no steady job is better than anything he did before he got here apparently. He wants easier jobs without the skills that enable you to get them, and he wasted money he could have spent on schooling in one of those jobs on trucking school he refuses to use.
  6. Andrei is too proud to do literally anything, including work. Too proud to take money from his in-law (except he lived in that house for free and his wife's salary comes from his in-law so that's not true), too proud to buy secondhand even though he can't even afford secondhand, too proud to actually get a job and work. I sympathize with not wanting to work a job you won't like but when you have a baby on the way there's no excuse to not be working. There's also no excuse to throw away expensive schooling. The dude is just trash. And she's ridiculous for moving out when they couldn't afford it with a baby on the way (seriously, why is nobody thinking of that baby who is far more important than this dude's pride) and then not telling her husband that she got the money from her dad cause he's gonna go ballistic and it's just gonna cause more issues.
  7. I honestly feel like the PT episodes are better than the regular episodes, especially with the brothers' and Loren and Alex's comments.
  8. I doubt that production is footing the bill for those food trips - you don't get up to 600-700 lbs without eating a massive amount of food consistently for a long time. Most of these people live with family or a spouse who is also helping them pay for it I imagine. And I always wonder if some of them are hesitant to do it at all because they'd lose benefits - it's gotta be scary to lose your entire income and likely your health insurance and food stamps - and possibly even your family's income if they're getting paid to take care of you - like that. I'm being genuine when I say that too. Starcasm has a 2019 article claiming that the people who appear get a $1500 "talent fee" for the entire year shooting schedule. They also say: "We’ve heard rumors that cast members get more money from Megalomedia, My 600 Lb Life‘s production company, by agreeing to participate in the show’s infamous bathing scenes; we’ve been unable to confirm those rumors." They supposedly don't get paid for reruns and they don't get royalties. They also get a $2500 relocation stipend. The site also says it looks like some of the participants actually end up moving into housing owned by TLC when they move. Which would make sense, since from what I understand Houston isn't cheap and it's easier to just have housing available for them to move to to continue filming instead of hoping they can find something on their own and delay filming or make it end because they couldn't move. The show also covers Dr. Now's medical expenses, including weight loss surgery if they quality. But they don't pay for skin removal surgery. You can choose to believe it or not, it is a gossip site after all, but it wouldn't surprise me if those numbers are accurate, especially considering some of the stuff we've seen on the show and how people have acted after it (gofundmes for skin removal surgery, everyone seeming to be living the same general lifestyle meaning there's no big checks coming from TLC).
  9. I also want to point out that not only has their relationship not been a very long one so far, it's also Amy's first relationship post her divorce and to be frank her first real dating relationship, judging by how her and Matt's "courtship" apparently went. If we're another year or two into it and Chris hasn't indicated he's all for it then I'd start to worry, but he's already said he's not opposed to it and I don't think how long they've been together is any kind of red flag yet. I don't have any reason to believe he's not telling the truth when he says he's not against getting married so until I see proof he's stringing her along about it I won't assume he is basically.
  10. I'm still honestly questioning the decision to get that dog and the decision to pick that particular house. First, the house is just not a good house for anyone who has mobility issues. And Zach has them now and will likely have them worse later. He's for sure gonna have to have more surgeries at the very least, and getting up and down all those stairs during recovery is going to be a nightmare. And Jackson will likely have at least some of those same issues. Even with a non-LP kid, I don't think that house was a good choice for a family where they're going to have kids learning to walk and stumbling around. And now there's already one aspect of it that's too much for Zach. Add on all the money they dropped into it to change what they wanted and the money wasted on a second set of bills because they didn't sell the first house quickly, they're very lucky they have that TLC money. (Sidenote, I can't believe that he tried to 'counter offer' after all their issues getting even a single offer and if I was Tori I'd be mad that my thoughts weren't even taken into consideration because it was 'Zach's investment.') As for Murphy - I think he was a replacement for Sully for sure, but that dog is going to be taller than AND outweigh 1/2 the family for its whole life. And Zach has already shown he can't train him. Tori came into Zach's life with Sully, there's not much you can do there, but choosing to bring an animal that large into a house with two people who can get hurt if they don't have control of him...I hope they are heavily invested in obedience training or there is gonna be trouble later in my opinion. And it was a very bad time to get a puppy, when you're moving into a new house, but I imagine Tori decided she couldn't wait any longer. But he really is cute at least.
  11. Somehow I feel like a lot of this plot about the farm is contrived. I don't believe for a second Amy is even considering a buyout and I also don't believe that Matt would ever willingly sell and move himself. It's all starting to seem a little fake to me, or at least like both of them are screwing with each other by talking about doing things they don't want to do.
  12. Did anyone else see that Nicole has her kid calling him "Daddy" but apparently "Daddy" didn't speak to May on her birthday at all and Nicole had to talk about her birthday party with him after? He sent no present, no card, he didn't even talk to her. I missed that, wow.
  13. Do you remember Caryn's comment about not wanting to movie into Amy's house? I think she let that slip accidentally and I think you're right that Matt wants that side to himself to build her a house. He should just build one on his side but I bet Caryn doesn't want to live anywhere on there as long as Amy is there.
  14. If Matt wanted to up and leave and go somewhere else, he could have. If was truly checked out then he could go and spend time there and only check back on the farm when he had to. He's still firmly wrapped up in all aspects of that. And then they're talking about needing 3-5 years to see if any of the kids wants to take the farm over eventually. I really think that a lot of this is staged and what parts aren't staged is just Matt wanting change but wanting to force everyone else into it too. Cause I doubt Amy was THAT interested in moving houses or selling land off or building a new house and selling old ones.
  15. Honestly this is true. Yeah Colt's mom is a PITA but he's basically a meal ticket, she could have leeched so much off of him if she had managed to contain how completely psycho she is. He's desperate for anyone to put up with his crap, if she had just managed to not physically assault him so the law got involved she could have put herself in such a good situation.
  16. Everyone calling Nicole out for letting her kid called Azan Daddy and dropped 6k on him made this whole thing worth it. And the reactions to Larissa flushing the ring are gold.
  17. I'm watching an episode now and now they're recounting a story about trying to go to South Korea with Azan and her paying for the tickets (of course she did) and he was refused entry and she lost "a couple thousand dollars" on that trip. I wonder how much money this sad woman who is having her daughter call this dude "daddy" while still talking about how many issues they're having has lost on this dude. And all she's concerned about is if she can stay in a hotel room with him. Girl needs to get herself a vibe so she can stop being so embarrassingly obsessed with sex. And she's worried she won't be able to afford another trip and "I need to get a good job", apparently he has no responsibility at all to contribute anything ever.
  18. I'm glad they're divorced, it's a pity she wasn't deported. Better people have been shipped out for far less.
  19. They're replaying the episode and the goals scene highlights this too. Her goals are 100% all about herself. She has no interest in any kind of joint life, she just needed someone to keep her fat rolls dry until she could get surgery. They probably wouldn't have lasted anyway but she's legit crazy, crying about how she was "devastated" in that goals scene when she basically set them both up for failure there. There's no reason they couldn't have come up with some joint goals that worked for them both, but that requires you to care about the other person in your relationship.
  20. I think the youngest has at least one thing going for her that the others don't - they got together either when Jessica was pregnant or the baby was JUST born, judging by the pictures they showed, so he's basically been pretending the whole time that the youngest is his. If there's no bio dad in the picture for the youngest that just adds to it. If the older two still have dads in their lives I imagine he does treat them differently too. It will be interesting to see what happens if he and Jessica ever have a bio kid; the youngest might discover that she's not the apple of dad's eye anymore, especially if it's a boy. I am glad that the show has people like Cillas and the other "success stories" on even if they're boring because it's nice to see people who actually TRY end up with a better life and it just highlights how whiny, delusional and lazy the other participants are. It IS possible, you just have to actually do the work. If it was just failures all the time I feel like it would be depressing to watch and feel like a pointless show cause they're all gonna fail so what's the point?
  21. I honestly understand that Amy is in kind of a tough place - the big house is smack dab on the land that has Matt's stamp all over it. All of the "fun" buildings and stuff are sentimental because they had great memories with the kids there, but they're also all Matt's handiwork and it's not something Amy knows how to maintain or probably wants to maintain. She's not getting any younger and I doubt she wants to spend her twilight years having to hire someone to come in and keep that stuff from falling apart. And then with Matt, he doesn't WANT to live in the big house but he doesn't want to wait around waiting for Amy to build a house on that land either. I doubt she will honestly, it will take too long and then what are they going to do with the big house and its land? Matt doesn't want to live there even if he probably wants to maintain all the other stuff on it. But if she builds a house on that land he's not gonna stay in the DW. If the big house was on the other piece of land without all of that stuff and the DW was on the side with all of those buildings, I think they would both be happier.
  22. I am rewatching now and this is basically it. She mentions at least once that what she wants is for the doctor to look at her and agree to take some of the swellings off. There's never anything about bypass surgery. It's crazy watching her say all of this stuff with the same face and tell Dr Now to his face multiple times that she's going to do something when she has NO intention of doing any of it. There's no shame and no self awareness. It was a waste of everyone's time. And it's sad that poor Lacey is trapped in a house with this woman because as she deteriorates, Lacey is going to be the one to have to take care of her.
  23. This is true. I would be surprised if she could get through the door to get into it, let alone into the tiny bathrooms or back in the back bedroom. I have a family member who lives in one that's actually fairly big and the bathroom is still tight and getting back into the bedroom means walking around the bed to get in and no way could any of the people on these shows manage it.
  24. I do not understand the ones who sit there with their genitals all hanging out right where their children can see with absolutely no shame. I get that maybe there's no underwear that fits, but pull a blanket over yourself for goodness sake. Your children do not need to see that all hanging out. It's bad enough half the time the kids are forced to help them clean it.
  25. They're going to regret all of those stairs. I thought I'd love having a two story house before I moved into one, but after I actually did, I really dislike it compared, especially after multiple people in my family started having massive health problems - there's so much more to clean, it allows people in the house to be a lot more disconnected from each other, it's harder to do things like laundry if the bedrooms and laundry are on different levels, etc. It's harder to keep track of kiddos too. But when it really bites them is gonna be when any of them start having health issues or kids start walking or Zach tries to be the one carrying them - getting someone up and down stairs after surgeries, or dealing with going up and down so many stairs when you have back or joint problems, is much more of a nightmare. Kids are gonna be taking their first steps there too. Just looking at all of those stairs I had a sinking feelings that any kids in that house are not super safe at all. I've never seen so many without actual banisters (they just have like bars for hands). They better invest in a lot of gates.
