The Nevarro News: The Mandalorian in the Media
pezgirl7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
I wasn't sure which thread to post this in, but I updated the Mandalorian game that I made last Christmas. You can play it here! -
That's how Pedro met Patty Jenkins, who cast him in Wonder Woman 1984! He spent a lot of his career working in TV, doing guest spots or working on failed TV pilots. I'm glad he's finally getting some good roles. ETA: Sorry, I was totally wrong about this factoid! Patty directed Pedro in a different TV pilot that never got picked up, and that's how they met. She did not direct the Wonder Woman TV show.

Season Three: Speculation for The Mandalorian
pezgirl7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
I'm thinking maybe that's why she deleted the tweet. Making broad accusations about someone, especially during this time, can be super detrimental, even if they're baseless. She's blocked pretty much every Pedro fan I've seen. If you won't drink her kool-aid, she doesn't want to hear from you. Getting back to the show, Cara said the New Republic will pay twice as much for Gideon if they bring him in alive. Dr. Pershing was also wanted. Hopefully the reward money is enough for Din to buy a new ship! And hopefully it has better sleeping quarters than The Razorcrest did. -
Season Three: Speculation for The Mandalorian

Grace deleted the tweet with the new rumor, but unfortunately it lives on, in posts like this. 😔 She was so positive about the helmet rumors, but now she's saying it's not true, the set issues were about something else. Just proves that she's full of crap and can't be trusted. It didn't bother me that Jon didn't mention Pedro by name, and instead just referred to Mando. Mando is more than just Pedro. Pretty much everyone knows there are at least 4 guys in the costume at different times. I wonder if Gideon sent Grogu's blood, or the data, somewhere else, or if it's still on the ship? If he didn't send it off, I suppose the Empire could still be looking for him. But he should be safe with Luke, at least for the time being... -

If they only have one Volume to film on, it makes sense that they would have to wait until Boba Fett is done filming before they start Mando Season 3. Yes, they could film at the same time, but that would probably be pretty messy and complicated. I'm just glad it was confirmed that it was two separate shows! -
S02.E08: Chapter Sixteen - The Rescue
pezgirl7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
Sorry, but I don't remember learning that in the show at all. I've watched episode 4 many times, and all Mando says is that he hasn't shown his face to anyone since he was a child, and if he removes his helmet, he can never put it on again. I really don't think Mando cares that much anymore about what the armorer would think. Most of his tribe is dead, and he seems to have altered his beliefs. I rewatched this episode again tonight, and when Mando and Boba Fett walk into the bar in the beginning, there is double the jingly spur noise. I thought that was pretty cool. 😆 -
Season Three: Speculation for The Mandalorian

I also think the guild is still around, but that doesn’t mean that Din is going to want to continue being a bounty hunter. Perhaps he’s lost the taste for it, and I think he’ll have bigger things to deal with in season 3. The last bounty we saw him pick up was the child, and yet he still managed to have plenty of side missions after that; helping his friends, as well as strangers. Essentially being the friendly neighborhood Mando. 😆 I think season 3 will be mostly about Mandalore and the Empire, but there will probably still be some fun side missions. I think they’d be a lot more fun with the child. -

Sorry I don't see the comparison. I'm just saying I'd like to continue watchng what we have been watching these past two seasons. Din doing side missions while the child tags along. -
I love watching Mando's body language during these scenes. He did this thing with his hand, and then turned his head to look at her. Like he was a little uncomfortable, but turned on, and was trying to keep cool. I actually think he did a similar thing with his hand in a scene from season 1 when he was talking to Omera. I really don't think he has much experience with "nice" ladies, so he's still a bit uncomfortable around them. Also, we know it was Brendan in the suit for the Omera scene, so if it was Pedro in the Ahsoka scene, then he did a great job of studying Mando's movements from season 1.

S02.E08: Chapter Sixteen - The Rescue

I've seen so many comments about how bad the CGI was on Luke, but I thought they did a great job. I also read that it looks better on a nicer tv, or one with a lot of brightness, which mine has, so maybe that's why. I thought the CGI was much better than what was used in some of the recent Star Wars movies. My only complaint is that his face seemed a bit stiff. But because of how difficult, and probably costly it is to do, I can't really see a lot of future scenes with Luke training Grogu. Mark Hamill posted this on his Twitter: -
Season Three: Speculation for The Mandalorian

I posted Brendan's IG post earlier in this thread. To be fair, saying Pedro will be back doesn't really clear up the rumors. Just because he's coming back, doesn't mean that Season 3 will be all about Mando. But it does mean that Mando's story isn't over, so yay! I don't really want to see an older Grogu. I think once he learns to master the force, he won't need to be protected as much. But he could learn to master it and still be a child. I also kind of wish he didn't have to use the force and could just be a regular child. Thinking back to season 1 and Omera saying "He could be a child for once. Wouldn't that be nice?". I wouldn't mind just seeing him go on space adventures with his dad. 😊 -
Season Three: Speculation for The Mandalorian

A concept artist named Paul Bateman seems very sure that Season 3 is a different show from The Book of Boba, and posted it on his twitter. I can't find any info about him working on the show, so I don't know how he knows. Meanwhile, Grace is still doubling down, saying Disney is sidelining Pedro to teach him a lesson, which is the most ridiculous thing ever. Brendan Wayne posted this on his IG: I hope Disney clears everything up soon. -
S02.E08: Chapter Sixteen - The Rescue
pezgirl7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
I got the feeling that Grogu could sense Luke's presence when he arrived. The baby sorta did an eye squint thing. So I'm thinking that yes, he can still wield the force. He just didn't use it in this episode because he was so tired from having his blood drained. He needs some OJ and a cookie macaron. I realized that Mando never asked for Luke's name or where he was taking the baby. How is Mando suppose to find him? 😔 -
S02.E08: Chapter Sixteen - The Rescue

I stayed up super late to watch this episode, but I wish I hadn't. It was pretty disappointing, and reading comments online, I'm not the only one who feels that way. We didn't even get a nice, sweet reunion moment between Mando and the Child. A lot of what happened in this episode was what people predicted, but most people thought Grogu would choose to stay with Mando. I really don't know what season 3 holds, but I don't think Grogu will be in it much. 😞 I wish that Mando had killed Gideon. I guess next season will be about Mandalore? Mando claimed the dark sabre without killing Gideon, so it's not like Mando and Bo Katan have to fight until the death in order for her to reclaim it. I'm guessing Mando will take his helmet off more next season. I wish we had gotten some kind of reaction from Cara. Even a little quip about her seeing his face would have been nice. The scene where he removes his helmet for the baby was sweet, but bittersweet. I don't understand what was up with R2D2. Was he just reacting to the baby looking so much like Yoda? I guess I wish this season had been more like season 1, which didn't have so many known characters from the Star Wars universe. A few here and there, is ok, but having so many just makes the universe really small. ETA: I also just realized that Din didn't give Grogu the silver ball! Maybe he wanted to keep it as a memory of the kid, but the kid should have it. 🤬 -
The Nevarro News: The Mandalorian in the Media

I dunno, seems pretty on point for Pedro, who is pretty humble. He was probably referring to Feloni and Favreau, since they're the creators. I just watched another interview with Pedro where they mentioned all his projects that he has coming out, and he basically just said he was lucky to be in projects with great directors, instead of saying something about how he's excited for people to see the work that's he's done. Also, Favreau already confirmed Pedro is going to be in Season 3. I'm pretty sure they're the same type. You can see them all here. They're all a little over 2 inches tall. I think the egg one you're referring to is a Funko pop, like you said. -

I think they're just picking cute poses, not necessarily ones that happen in the show. They already released one with the baby in a stormtrooper's helmet, and that never happened. They also have one where the baby is drinking blue milk. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/144089 -
Speculation for Season Two: The Mandalorian
pezgirl7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
My prediction is that Mando and team track down Moff's ship, they somehow get inside, and a bunch of fights ensue. Dr. Pershing ends up helping them, and tells them why Moff wants the baby, even though Mando hasn't seemed to care up until this point. Mando and Moff fight, and Mando ends up killing him with the spear. He might get a little help from Bo Katan who shows up, since she's also been looking for Moff. She ends up with the dark saber at the end. I'm thinking some of the New Republic also show up at some point to help. At the end, a Jedi appears, sensing Grogu's distress. I don't think it'll be Luke. I also want Mando to refer to the child as "his son" at some point, and Mando will give him the silver ball when he finds him. 😊 If they are separated at the end of the episode, I will not be a happy camper. -

Pedro was asked about the rumors of him wanting to show his face more, during a BBC interview to promote Wonder Woman 1984. Here's the video: https://caked-crusader.tumblr.com/post/637598468629757952/pedro-on-the-bullshit-helmet-rumours-from-a It kinda pisses me off that one person's rumors made it all the way to an interview. Pedro could have went off on her for spreading untrue rumors, but he took the high ground! I guess it also pisses me off a bit that so many people believed the rumors, because it's so NOT Pedro. -
S02.E07: Chapter Fifteen - The Believer
pezgirl7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
I think it has. I read a post somewhere else that theorized that the title of this episode, The Believer, was about Din, and him reprioritizing his beliefs/religion. In The Sin, he traded the child for his beskar, essentially choosing his religion over the child, which was a sin. But in this episode, he chose the child over his religion. I think I'm up to 5 views for this episode, maybe 6. 😝 -

I watched this episode three times on Friday, and two more times this weekend, but am finally getting around to posting about it. Despite the baby not being in it, it was one of the best episodes. Although I did have to hand wave a few of the things for the sake of the story. When Mando took off his helmet, I was like Noooo, but also Yessss, because of Pedro. 😊 How sucky that the first person to ever see his face as an adult was that Empire scum. Mando looked so uncomfortable and unsure. He probably felt like everyone was staring at him, and he didn't know what to do with his face. He was willing to forsake his "way" for the child, and if he doesn't refer to the child as "my son" in the next episode, I will very sad. The fight scene on top of the juggernaut was really well done, and I liked that Mando was moaning in pain afterwards. He really is such a great fighter and just doesn't give up. When the second wave of fighters came, and he looked so tired, he still stood up and put his fists up. It reminded me of when he was fighting the mud horn, and although he had no energy left, he still sat up and held up his knife. He's not going to go out quietly. I didn't like Mayfeld in season one, and thought it was a bad casting choice. He just didn't seem to fit in the Star Wars universe. But for some reason, I really enjoyed his character in this episode. He was funny and Bill Burr did some great acting in the cafeteria scene. He was one of the most hated characters because he dropped the baby, but they somehow redeemed him in just one episode! I had to pause the show after the TPS report line because I was laughing so hard! It was just so out of left field. The inside of Boba's ship was really cool, and I liked the new paint job on his armor. I'm hoping Mando never paints his armor though. It looks best in it's original silver color. -
I'm so excited! I can't wait to watch Loki cause mischief. The show is supposed to be premiering in June.

I like Ian's voice, but he almost seems like he doesn't want to be there. Maybe he's just nervous. I don't consider him to be country. Maybe Americana?

The Curse Of Oak Island - General Discussion
pezgirl7 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in The Curse Of Oak Island
Although the map/boulder theory is interesting, there are so many boulders on that island, I think the woman was just picking boulders that suited her layout. Also, do we know if that map from the 1400s is legit? Why would you draw such a crude map if the locations on the map were plotted so precisely? Or is the map just a quick copy of an older map? The words on the map look like they were written in more modern times. It was like someone was trying to make it look like older writing, but it's not written in a nice, neat, calligraphic style I would expect from earlier times. -
Expedition Unknown - General Discussion
pezgirl7 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Expedition Unknown
I guess someone really did find Forrest Fenn’s treasure in Wyoming! There are photos of the treasure here. It's funny that Fenn accidentally put a pair of regular ole scissors in the chest! I think it still kind of sucks that he won't say where he found it, because he doesn't want the area destroyed, and because it's apparently dangerous. Although I wonder if the real reason is that it's in a state park, like people speculated. Also, I hadn't realized that Fenn passed away in September. A little serendipitous that the treasure was found so close to his passing. -
Ryan Gallagher's manager released a statement denying that Ryan broke covid protocols, which caused him to get kicked off the show. Part of it reads "As you can imagine, there is more to the story here than the show has announced and at an appropriate time and place of our choosing, Ryan will respond to these damaging allegations”. Why not just respond right now instead of waiting? https://ew.com/tv/the-voice-ryan-gallagher-denies-breaking-covid-19-protocols/
