  1. I don't think Eliza's ponytail is fake (it's fake in real life for the actress, but not for the character), but she could still use a hair piece to make her hair look fuller. I think that was pretty common. But like I said, I just don't see Eliza as the type of woman who would bother with a hair piece.
  2. Possibly. The actress has short hair, so most of Eliza's hair is extensions or hair pieces. But to be honest, I can't really see Eliza using a hair piece! And even if she did, I would think it would take some time, and maybe some help, to get it to look right.
  3. I listened to this podcast with the writer, and she said she was putting the finishing touches on season 2 which will be 6 episodes. Honestly I was hoping for more. The only thing she could really tease is that we'll learn more about William. She also mentioned that the actress who plays Eliza spends 2 hours in hair and makeup, so she definitely wouldn't be able to do her hair herself! Braiding your hair and putting it in a bun isn't that hard, but she also has all those perfect curls.
  4. It's hard for me to see him one way or the other, because we haven't seen him interact with children yet. Maybe next season he'll be on a case in which he has to interact with a child, and it'll be super adorable and will hit me, and maybe Eliza, right in the feels! I thought it was because it would have either been improper for him to be sleeping on the same floor as Eliza, or because he wanted to be near the door incase of an intruder.
  5. Congrats to everyone who guessed that Frank was involved! I didn't think he was, simply because he was wearing brown shoes, and the shooter was wearing black ones. I guess he went home and changed! I felt bad for William. He was betrayed by his partner and one of his only friends. I was kinda hoping for a little bit of dialogue near the end, with Eliza asking William how he was holding up. I don't really understand why Frank pretended to be drunk, and then let William rifle through his stuff. Was he planning on killing him all along? It would have made more sense for him to have left town right away. He wouldn't have been able to continue his job while spending all the money, it would have been too suspicious. I'm also interested to see what happens next season at the Met. I hope his new parter is likable, and I hope his new boss doesn't hold the same prejudices. But I'm sure there will be some kind of office drama to make things interesting! I loved all the swoony moments between Eliza and William! Who knew that boiling an egg could be so hot?! Regarding William's comment about how he wouldn't be boiling his own egg if they were married, I'm just going to pretend he meant that if they were married, Eliza would insist that they have a cook! I also loved Eliza's red dress at the end and that they were finally going out on a date! I didn't like William continuing to throw Eliza in jail for her own protection though. If I were her, I would be super annoyed at him. And finally, there's something about the way William lounges on couches. He's pretty tall, so he just kinda takes up half the couch and sprawls out. It's kinda sexy. 😏
  6. In an interview from last year, Stuart said "We are due to do a second series of Miss Scarlet and The Duke in September in Dublin and I thought that’d be fine but now you think, ‘what are we doing to do?’". So I think if the lead actor had it on his schedule, then it's a pretty good bet that there was going to be a second season. I just hope it's still in the pipe line! I need to see what happens with Eliza and William! I like most of what the writer had to say about their slow burn: Personally I don't think she would make him miserable. I think as we saw at the end of this episode, they can learn to accept each other and not get on each other's nerves so much!
  7. It played a bit of a role. The prison was chosen as a hideout because people didn't want to come near it because of the previous outbreak, and the fumigation mask helped conceal the shooter. Also, Eliza's visit to the coroner was part of the trail that William had to follow.
  8. I, too, thought the hammer scene was a dream sequence at first. I was shocked because Merilee basically threw away the rest of her life because of her husband. She should have just divorced him, left town and lived happily ever after. Also, it took me all season to realize the actress was the girl from The Silence of the Lambs.
  9. I picked the hustler correctly this week, and from the very beginning, because I just thought she looked like a quirky college professor! And in the beginning, she gave information to help point to the question, without actually giving the answer, then she changed to flat out giving the answers. Although I did start to waver a little at the end, because the one guy kept asking people direct questions, which I thought might be a good strategy for the hustler to throw suspicion off themselves. But he didn't really know any of the answers to the questions.
  10. This was my favorite episode so far! And not just because of the undressing scene, although that didn't hurt. William looked great in, and out, of that tux. 😍 My favorite line was "Stop being nice, it's confusing". It sums up their relation pretty well. They're attracted to each other, but find each other frustrating at times, so they don't know what to think. I liked that William opened up to Eliza, pretty much out of nowhere, about how he's frustrated at work and tries to fit in, but doesn't think he's successful. And I liked that she reassured him that he has nothing to prove.
  11. I personally don't think Cara should be recast. Although I liked the character, I think her storyline wrapped up nicely in season 2. I don't know the plot of season 3, but if it's about Mandalore, I don't really see how she would fit in to the plot line. The one thing I will miss is that she was one of Mando's only friends. They went through a lot together, and she was always there for Mando and the child, so that dynamic will be sad to lose. But maybe some of the new characters can help fill that void.
  12. I enjoyed this episode. Favorite bits were William yelling at the White Rabbit clerk and Eliza telling William, Oh, you're experiencing prejudice in your job, whatever might that feel like? I didn't think the daughter had anything to do with the photos, since I thought she lacked the skill. So that was a surprise. Hopefully her father or new mom gives her some rouge to play with so she's not always pricking her finger! Yikes. There was definitely some eye sex on the part of William in this episode, which I didn't really see in earlier episodes. And he was softer with Eliza than he has been in the past, so I think he's starting to realize his feelings for her. I don't know if he full on loves her yet, or would even consider marrying her. He honestly doesn't seem like the marrying type to me, but who knows. I also didn't get the feeling from Eliza that she was that interested in William, but reading this thread, I have changed my mine! lol I don't really know what a courtship between the two of them would like. I think it would be a bit unusual and fun to watch! I watched some of season 1 of Jamestown, and although I thought Stuart Martin was cute, the level of attractiveness was nothing like it is here. Holy heck, William is FINE. He can pull off a beard, which many men can't, and his Scottish accent is swoon worthy. Someone pass the smelling salts. I'm really looking forward to next week where we'll get this scene 😅 (not spoilery to the plot, but is still a spoiler)
  13. I think when her mom announced she'd be leaving her, again, she got upset and had an unconscious reaction and tightened her fist. Ergo ouchie. I think her reaction shows that she cares about her mom, even though she tries to act like she doesn't. At some point I think she'll have to decide between her mom and Wilford, and will choose her mom.
  14. If Pedro were to ever get an acting nomination, I feel like this was the year, because he showed his face a few times. Rick Famuyiwa, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni did get a nomination for Best Drama Series by the Writers Guild of America. I haven't watched any of the shows they are up against, so I have no idea if a win is likely.
  15. I still post on tumblr, and the tumblr kids are all about "trigger warnings" anytime anything remotely traumatic gets posted. I suppose seeing someone slit their wrist could be triggering for someone who is contemplating suicide. Did anyone else sense a little bit of attraction between Melanie and Layton after the climate meeting? I really hope the show doesn't go there, especially since Layton is in a love triangle now that Josie is alive. We don't need a love square(?) According to wiki, Big Alice runs in reverse, meaning the engine car pushes the rest of the cars, whereas Snowpiercer pulls its cars. There was a scene where Alex was in Wilfred's quarters, which I'm assuming is also the engine car, and she goes over to the controls and looks out the window. She could see cars in front and below her, which I am assuming was the Big Alice cars they were pushing. I'm sorry I don't remember a scene where she looked out and didn't see anything.
  16. As far as I know, his arms can’t move mechanically like his face does. Here’s a photo of the metal rods they attach to his hands to make his arms move. I’m guessing it’s hard to move them at the same time they make him walk, so they just let his arms lay at his side. In a way, it just makes him cuter!
  17. I think they showed the puppet walking a few times. I'm guessing they did it the same way they did the arm movements, which is they used wires or something, and then removed them with CGI. One of the easiest ways to tell it's the puppet is by looking at his arms. If they're barely moving, then it's probably the puppet. puppet: https://64.media.tumblr.com/b3d434bed4e75f83223d948ec86b4603/24d19b670b24832f-57/s540x810/57add3e52dfc38ad8edf051db3b879e5f42347b6.gifv I'm pretty sure this is the puppet: https://64.media.tumblr.com/1fb6f916e7c87e195739894b04c61b21/9d7cd3906c2a0649-da/s540x810/103063511c2b07a5da5999fbee6ef4430cd7dc16.gifv Where as this is CGI: https://64.media.tumblr.com/df58f47fb76f6c8972030613907e0e83/ef86b0c7e2fd7f1f-19/s540x810/80ac004b200bb2e3450239a300afb2060bf8cbc0.gifv
  18. I was wondering that too. I wasn't even aware that the regular people were allowed to lie. Makes it a little bit harder, because if other people think you aren't being truthful, then they might think you are the hustler, which means the real hustler might want to keep you in the game to throw suspicion off themselves. And it makes it harder on the audience, because anyone could be lying about anything. Near the end, I thought it was Karen because of how well she was doing on the questions. I did know the last answer about the lie detector because Luke Evans played Prof. Marston in a movie not too long ago, but Karen's deduction was spot on. She definitely wasn't a confused blonde like she trying to portray. I hope she doesn't pull that act in real life. My mind changed when the hustler was trying to convince the other two he wasn't the hustler, because I didn't think he had a good defense, and I did remember that he seemed to let other people answer the questions first, and then was like, Yes, let's go with that!
  19. I laughed when almost everyone said they owned a gun and Craig said, Yep, we're definitely on an American show! Kim totally gave herself away with the Eli question, but at least she was able to admit that her greed got the best of her. I didn't think it was her in the beginning because she seemed very open and talkative. I've only watched this episode and the last, so I need to catch up on the rest on OnDemand. I hadn't even heard of the show, but came across it last week. I'm really enjoying it, and I like that there aren't really long delays in the game play, like a lot of trivia shows. I also love the set! As far as having a dog named Tiffany, it could have been a man's dog if that man had a wife or girlfriend who named it. But I definitely did think it belonged to a woman, and the last guy's reasoning that he's too big to drive a car made total sense. I wonder why the hustler has to lie about their profession? It made sense this last time because of the clue about working in a prison, but I don't think last week's hustler had to lie. If people are going to start asking you questions about your job, you better pick a job that you know a lot about. Last week's episode I picked the hustler in the very beginning just because of her body language and the way she was looking at people. But this last episode, it wasn't until the last clue that I was able figure it out. I hope the ratings for the show are good and it doesn't get canceled.
  20. She's a "nice lady". 😊 I, too, loved the part when she smiled at Din saying "laser swords". My dad actually referred to a light saber as that recently, which I thought was pretty funny.
  21. Ralph, William and Martin will be presenters at the Critics Choice Super Awards tomorrow. 22. If you watch the behind the scenes of season 2 documentary, he's in the armor quite a bit. But a lot of times while watching the show, I can't tell if it's him or not in the armor, so for me it's the voice that really makes the character. Although it would be nice for there to be some kind of joint award, it just doesn't exist. Also, I looked it up, and this a new awards show: The Critics Choice Association (CCA) is pleased to announce the inaugural Critics Choice Super Awards, a special event honoring the most popular, fan-obsessed genres across both television and movies, including Superhero, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Horror, Action and Animation. The awards presentation, which will be produced remotely following COVID safety protocols, will air as a television special on The CW Network on Sunday, January 10, 2021 (8:00-10:00pm ET).
  23. I would have been even more upset had Grogu gone off with some Jedi that I had never heard of. At least with it being Luke, I know Grogu is in good hands.
  24. Some people on reddit made it sound like there was a previous schedule created by Disney that had "season 3" in December, but the updated scheduled released yesterday didn't list it. Maybe I misunderstood. Jon kinda minced his words a few times in that interview, so a lot of people think he meant it will start filming after BoBF finishes filming, not after it premieres. If it's already been in pre-production for a while, waiting more than a year to start filming seems weird. But who knows. They have so many other shows planned, they can't work on them all at once. But Jon also said they were waiting for Pedro to finish filming his movie, and would start right after when he became available, so I don't think he would have said that, unless the plans changed drastically. Sorry, I tried to bring some clarity to the release date but I guess it's all up in the air still!
  25. I'm hearing that Season 3 has been removed from Disney's release schedule for 2021, so it looks like it'll be premiering in 2022. It's not really a surprise to me, since they haven't even started filming yet. The filming of Pedro's movie was delayed because of Covid, so Mando wasn't able to start filming in December like Jon originally said it would. On GMA, Jon said Season 3 will be released "soon" after The Book of Boba Fett, so hopefully that means early 2022.
