  1. This year's twist: super fans versus super soldiers?
  2. The cold temperatures aren't that bad. It's not that difficult to layer clothes, and while at first it would be annoying, it doesn't seem like the end of the world. Those beds, though. Those look like torture devices. Giant hard blocks with divots and cracks in them? Being told they can't put anything down to cushion themselves? No, thank you. No wonder Brittany spent so much time "sun tanning" outside. I definitely couldn't sleep on something like that, and I'm unusually proud of my ability to sleep almost anywhere at any time, including standing up in the shower. I'm afraid of what they'll think up for next year's batch of HGs. This is my hope. Between Caleb and Devin, I think Caleb is the more dangerous one to keep in the house. I think he has a better game than Devin. However, I also think Devin can win more challenges than Caleb. If they keep Devin past this week, he'll continue to be a target, but one that could potentially save himself. Caleb offered himself up to be on the block, and that should be rewarded properly. With an eviction. Caleb, I think, has the better social game, and can still convince a majority to vote a certain way. Devin doesn't seem to have much of a game left. Both would be hard to sway to vote a certain way, but Caleb has the potential to go further than Devin, so to me he would seem like the obvious target. Unfortunately, it sounds like Devin has maybe given up, and is ready to leave. Caleb would probably need to go nutso before the majority would vote him out, though. It seems every week a different HG is the conductor of the Crazy Train. I don't think being a HN would be enough to push him over the edge. If Cody keeps flirting with Amber, though... I thought Caleb was getting close with his betting on the pool game with Cody last night. Caleb, of course, figured the winner should go on a "hammock date" with Amber. I don't think Amber was ever consulted about the prize (I could be wrong, wasn't really paying close attention to the feeds).
  3. The ants are the 17th houseguest. They always are, but I'm always amazed at how quickly they set up shop in the house and then stay to the end. I understand that with 16 people in the house to start there's a lot of dishes and a lot of mess, but come on, people. Common sense. Wash your dishes, don't leave food out, clean up after yourself and your crumbs. The kitchen always looks like a disaster zone in the beginning, and then a few days later, they're all "Gee, look at all these ants!". How can you live in that? Do they just leave stuff out at home? Drives me nuts every year. I'm in no way the neatest or cleanest person, I default to laziness most of the time, but that's ridiculous. Caleb and Amber had some quality time last night. Considering before the Veto comp he was complaining that she *gasp* put her feet under a blanket on the same bed he was in and touched him with her foot and that she couldn't keep trying to get close and use him, there he is, offering to throw one of the final HOH comps for her if she'll be his date at the finale/go out on a date with him. He's giving it all he's got, that's all he has to give, just say yes already, you've basically already said yes. But he wore her down, oh yes he did. She agreed to a meal with him at Chick-fil-A. This is a love story for the ages, people. Jocasta seems to be up and moving and looking better than yesterday.
  4. Ha! Devin got picked, and since half my wish has been granted by that, I hope the other half gets granted to: Devin to win Veto, and survive the week. Even better if he wins HOH next week. He's not my favourite, I'm not really rooting for anyone but the feed watchers at this point, and he made the feeds wildly entertaining the week he was HOH. Well, once you got used to the never-ending talking. Derrick's power trip has been less entertaining. Caleb's got interesting towards the end. I just want a good show to watch right now, I'll figure out which one is the lesser of all evils in a few weeks. Jocasta might end up being the pity eviction this week because of her current health. Devin was supposedly so certain that he was going home, Zach relayed to other HGs that Devin had apparently requested to have his daughter and family at the live show to greet him when he left the house. He also requested to host the POV comp, if he wasn't chosen, so he could at least host one before he left. Maybe getting pulled to play Veto will light a new, crazy fire in him. If he doesn't win it, I hope he goes out in a blaze of hilarious glory, via Clown Shoe or something similar.
  5. It seems a little unfair when it comes to picking Have Nots this season. The HGs have pretty much exempted Christine, because she's gluten intolerant and can't eat the slop, and Frankie, because of a circulatory problem. I know at one point in the beginning of the feeds, Christine said she would still be a HN, despite not being able to eat slop, and I have no doubt that BB would make some exceptions and give her something else to eat. Haven't they done it for other people who suddenly have issues with slop? Frankie tried to nap in the HN room, and ended up with some seriously frozen fingers. The HN room was most likely chosen long before, but it seems a bit unfair that two of them get a pass. I think at one point, Christine said she even told BB during pre-interviews that she would be fine with slop if she got in the house, but of course, she also knew she couldn't eat it. And Jocasta is probably getting a pass because of her current issues. It's stuff like this that makes me wish they would just do away with the HNs and hold some other type of food challenge, limiting what they can have or can't have, rather than force slop on them. Instead of the HN room, institute a curfew for them (actually, that would kinda suck for the feeds). Keep the cold showers, but the slop is useless. As much fun as it was to see Zach turn into the biggest, whiniest baby less than 24 hours into being a HN, all you ever hear is the HNs bitching about the lack of food choices, the crappy beds, the cold showers. For those wondering, it sounds like Caleb, Amber, Devin, and Donny will be the HNs this week. Caleb and Amber volunteered, and then Caleb tried to get out of it, saying he didn't want them to have to stay in the HN room with Devin. Dude, you should've thought about that before you threw your name in the hat, bro.
  6. She's been having issues (constipation, I think). She was saying earlier that she was unable to use the bathroom if people were around, and that it was worse, because they're being filmed. Before the BotB, she was in the HOH room with a few people, and said that she had taken some sort of laxative or stool softener that Derrick recommended, but then double dosed with another kind, and has apparently been dousing all her food with Metamucil. I think she may have overdone it just a bit. Caleb says he has magical powers in predicting the random draws to host the BotB contests, I have the magical powers that make me turn on the feeds whenever Jocasta starts talking about her bathroom problems.
  7. Yup. But I could see him either having a change of heart and playing hard without telling anyone, or Donny and Amber could suck so bad, it would be like last season when everyone was trying to throw a comp so Amanda could win, and (I think) McCrae ended up winning, because she couldn't come up with the answer. It'll probably depend on how Caleb's Queen is doing. ETA: guess he threw it after all. Amber and Donny off the block, Nicole no longer HOH and wearing a frog outfit.
  8. That's no fun! I thought they actually had to convince them, not just get someone else to say it. If that's all it is, Victoria and Caleb should win them $5k for sure.
  9. I think they are right now, we're back to Jeff hosted highlights. Why is it always Jeff? LOL! I would love to see him pull a Chima. I don't think it was anything serious. He was probably jokingly saying Screw You to the production PA voice, but since it's Devin, he probably aimed for joking and landed on dead serious/intimidating. I missed it by like a minute last night, just going off the updates. I think it was GM that she knew, but I'm not sure she admitted it. Then again, I don't know who in their right mind would want to admit that they're friends/acquaintances with much of the last season cast. It was a pretty good choice, and Zach could potentially go nuts, thinking that someone is trying to ruin his game somehow. Whether they actually manage to convince anyone is an entirely different story. I'm not sure they'll be able to pull it off.
  10. It seems the rumour Team America (fuck yeah) is going to try and spread is that Zach is related to Amanda from last season. They plan on starting it with Victoria and Caleb, since they're both blabbermouths. Heh. I could kind of see it.
  11. The feeds have been on fish for a very long time, not even Jeff interviews or live feed highlights. I wonder what's taking so long. I assumed it was going to be nominations, but they usually don't last that long. ETA: Of course, as soon as I say that, they come back.
  12. He pretty much isolated himself in the HOH room, and last night, in the HN room with a Bible. He was saying that he had thought about DOR'ing at some point in the week, but it sounds like he's just butthurt that his HOH sucked so much. ETA: he apparently got snippy with production, too. I seem to always miss the fun stuff when it happens, but I always seem to run into Jocasta talking about her bathroom issues.
  13. They usually get around it like Devin with his "I'm not saying yes, I'm not saying no, I'm saying be prepared", but for the most part, they never get called out on it. I wish they would start enforcing that rule. It makes the nomination ceremonies so much more fun when the people being nominated don't know for sure.
  14. Cody's attempt to piss off Caleb is awesome and I highly encourage it! Giving "his queen" a nice, long massage where "Daddy" can see it? Priceless! I had figured that the first Team America (fuck yeah) task would be the "get someone to kiss/spread rumour" one, because BB viewers seem to like their showmances. Now I'm kind of disappointed that the other option won. As creepy as it would be to have someone hounding another person constantly, telling them to kiss someone, the potential outcome would have been awesome. Especially if they had tried to get Cody and Amber to do it, and then spread the rumour. The fireworks in that house, especially coming from Caleb, probably would have put the fourth of July to shame. So far, I'm more impressed with Nicole's HOH reign than I was with Amber's four hour reign. She's cute with Hayden, and she seems not to be falling for Derrick's lies. At least she seems capable of thinking and making her own decision. Could you imagine Victoria as HOH? "I nominated you, Amber, because you keep using my blush! Ugh! And I nominated you, Brittany, because I saw you using my lotion! That's not cool, that's my stuff!" I think it has potential. I have a feeling that the backdoor Devin plan is going to fall apart somehow, or encounter some sort of roadblock. If he gets picked for Veto in the random draw and wins, their plan goes out the window. I want to see that so badly. But if that happened, yeah, another female would go home. If it's Amber, I won't mind too much. I wonder if she would try to save her bunny slippers, or if they're completely shot now by Caleb's larger (probably sweatier, ew) feet. You just don't wear someone else's slippers.
  15. She said it would factor into the game. Maybe the laziest will be punished somehow? When was the last time Jessie showed up with some workout tips?
  16. Caleb refers to himself as "Daddy"? Oh so wrong.
  17. I truly believe that Amber's game was shot the moment Caleb fixated on her and started telling everyone in the house. I only see two possible ways for her to play past it: either do something to make him uninterested but not angry at her (unlikely to impossible), or if Caleb somehow gets evicted this next week and she's free to play her own game. I don't really see either happening, and if it did, I think she would find herself a target anyway. It's hard to tell what people actually think in the house, since they give a different opinion to different people, and they seem to change their minds as often as Amber and Victoria change clothes.
  18. I see from updates last night that Caleb seems determined to ruin Amber's game, going around saying that they're not in an alliance together, but he'll still protect her as far through the game as he can. All he's doing is putting more of a target on Amber, rather than putting the fear of Caleb in the rest of the HGs. She's been saying for the past few days that she wants to play her game, but she's not going to get much of a chance, with Caleb going on and on about protecting his princess to everyone else. I'm hoping whoever wins HOH, they conspire and nominate Caleb and Amber separately. They'd probably blow the BotB out of the water if they were teamed together, although I'd be curious to see if he would sacrifice himself for her to stay (I really doubt it, but still). I also saw that he was bragging once again about killing a wild boar with a stick. Because that's something to be proud of.
  19. I wonder if the Team America task is going to have something to do with this. At first, I thought HOH comp, but I don't see how. Otherwise, it's just odd. Why would anyone care?
  20. I've officially given up on trying to understand who is voting for who, who is in an alliance with who, who Nicole is flirting with this time... I'm just enjoying the crazy. Hopefully, after the next eviction, it'll be easier to follow (yeah, right). They do realize that there's only been one eviction, right? Sometimes, watching how hard they're all playing, *I* forget that there's only been one. They're all playing so hard and so fast, they're going to burn out by the fourth eviction, and it'll get boring later on. Honestly, I hope Devin survives next week somehow and stays for a bit longer. Annoying as shit? Yup. Horrible game player? Probably. But he's absolutely Live Feed Gold. I'd much rather see Caleb and his fake glasses go first, or Amber, just to see if Caleb goes squirrely and starts toting around and crying into a dress that isn't Amber's.
  21. So I heard that Devin spilled the beans to Brittany about his new crush on her. Why must the fun stuff happen when I'm asleep? Any details about what happened? I wonder if it was as awkward as the Caleb/Amber "I like you" conversation.
  22. Brittany's eyelashes, super shiny face, and red lipstick were frightening in her diary room sessions. I don't understand, she looks fine in the house footage, but in the diary room? Yikes, HD did her no favours there.
  23. CBS needs to fire whoever presses the button for Jeff interviews. Nothing is worse than watching, and then having Andy suddenly pop on screen for thirty seconds, before going back to the feeds. Hilariously, while a lot of people were gathering in the rock bedroom, Amber moved away from Caleb because he apparently gives off too much body heat. Who wants to bet he's going to go around talking about how that broke his heart. It's hard to tell, but it looks like he moved closer to her to make up for it.
  24. Hayden and Pao were talking in the Beehive room, when Big Brother announced that there was an indoor lockdown. Hayden said that he hoped there was a reason for the lockdown, that they weren't just locking them in to create more drama in the house. It never occurred to me that production would do that, despite all the shit they already pull, but I really hope they did. I'm having fun watching everyone flip flop every few minutes.
