The only hint of a zing has been Steve saying something about how he's being a baby about missing his mom. And Austin hit a button so hard he broke it. Other than that, it's been Vanessa telling Johnny Mac about how she got her period for the second time in two weeks and the poor guy thinking "I'm a dentist, not a gynecologist..." And Liz skipped hers, so now I'm waiting for pregnancy rumours online.

Maybe it's the booze but watching Meg with cry face as she straightens her hair after her shower is really funny.

I think it had more to do with her having a shitty showing in the comp (apparently she didn't recognize her own face?) than her zing. Of which we have heard none yet. Boo. ETA: Oops, nope. Zingbot made fun of Meg for her comp performances and then she didn't recognize herself.

Can we start a petition to get rid of Jeff Highlights and bring back trivia? I feel like I should be doing something productive with my time.

The BBAD people are getting a rerun and a message that the show will be live once the comp is over. Shitty deal for them. Zingbot usually takes awhile, too. I think we're at around two and a half hours since the feeds went down. ETA: Wine helps. Lots of wine. And temperatures too hot to want to go out in the real world. Big Brother is my "thing" every year and it's cheap entertainment. I listen to the feeds while I do other things. And wine. Did I mention the wine? Lemme go pour another glass while we wait for the feeds to come back...

Ever since poor Zingy almost passed out that one season, they push it back further into the day/evening.

I'm hoping for an Austin/Liz doubleheader that mentions Austin's (ex)girlfriend. Or what he smells like. Either will do.

ZINGBOT TIME! YAY! I can't wait until the feeds come back and someone's crying or whining about their zing. I need some kind of drama. This week is shaping up to be as dull as last week.

Aw, man, the cookies turned out all right. I figured they were going to be shit. Oh, and Vanessa's medication has been forgotten by the DR today. So we know her excuse for when she doesn't win Veto later today.

Austin is pissed that no one came upstairs to the HoH after the names were drawn for Veto to ask what Austin wants done with the Veto. I mean, he thinks it could be okay because maybe that means they really are okay with the rest of the house, but no one wants his opinion. They can all be backdoor targets! What are they thinking? Hey, Austin? Why don't you just wait until after the Veto is won to start talking about what to do with it. Also, LOL at Austin and Liz telling Julia that she needs to try and win the Veto. Ha! Julia's going to make it through the season without a single win under her name. I'd honestly give Meg better odds than Julia (also, it would be funnier. Go Grandma!). ETA: He's also concerned that the DR doesn't ask him questions about how it feels to be the king of the house or how comfortable he feels in power.

Nah, Austin has said multiple times that he knows Liz and Julia will keep each other and that he doesn't have a chance if it came down to him and a twin. Of course, the last time I heard this was before Liz was as into the showmance as he was, but I think he has a proper read on that situation. The baking powder/baking soda/lots of salt cookies are in the oven. I'm really interested in seeing how they came out. I was cringing when Liz was making them and going over my own recipe in my head to see how different they were. They're still debating the baking powder/baking soda thing.

I don't know what crawled up Austin's ass and died today but he is hilariously butthurt and pouty. I wonder if it's because Johnny Mac was in the HoH room cockblocking the HoH King and Queen earlier today.

Well, the twins and Meg won't be hosting a cooking show any time soon. One of the twins (I think it's Liz, I'm busy knitting while listening to the feeds) is making cookies from scratch, probably from the back of the chocolate chip bag. There was a question about the difference between baking soda and baking powder and does it really matter which you use? They decided that baking powder and baking soda can be used interchangeably. I think there may have also been a tablespoon of salt rather than a teaspoon tossed in. Those are going to be interesting cookies.

Julia said she was sad that she didn't get to play in OTEV, that she had been looking forward to it pre-season. Julia is also the one who couldn't figure out that OTEV backwards spells VETO and was 100% certain that it was a HoH comp. They have to be playing up this dumb blonde thing, right?

Eh, just kick them all out. We can watch the ants fight for supremacy in the house. It might be an improvement.

Just not a Vanessa fan. I'm over her. It's petty but I'd love to see her go. I want to see her scramble and throw people under the bus and freak out. I don't care who wins this thing. I just want some fun and drama after last week, which was boring as hell. Vanessa on the block could potentially bring that for me. I'm not examining it from an end-game perspective or what the ripple effects will be, just how much popcorn and wine I can potentially go through this week.

I have hopes of him giving Liz another hickey and Julia winning HoH and taking him out for it. I just want an exciting week after this past week, and Vanessa being on the block could potentially give me that. I don't think Austin will make it to final 3. One or both of the twins? Sure. But I think both of the twins will kick him to the curb eventually. This season is going to turn out like last season, where I was hoping Victoria would win because I really didn't like Derrick and Cody. So... Meg for the winner of BB17?

Dear Austin: If you actually, truly go through with putting Vanessa on the block this week, even if you're not actively targeting her but there's a chance she might actually go, I will consider it your birthday present to me. You don't even have to wrap it! No card needed! And if she loses the Veto, that's like sticking a big red bow right on top of it. Thanks!

Yeah. I hit this point almost every season around this time. It came a little early for me, when Jackie was evicted in the DE. She entertained me in the house, I loved her balls-to-the-wall, doesn't-give-a-fuck attitude, and her evil cackle grew on me. I didn't realize until after she left that I was kind of a fan of hers and wanted her to make it far. I know she can come back, but c'mon, the buyback is usually just a free week for the remaining HGs not to worry about leaving. I'm basically in it to see Vanessa and Austin not make it to the finals. After that, eh, I'll find something to snark on, I guess. Vanessa's a trip. Last night she brought up the shell she got in her HoH basket, because it was totes a hidden message to her to trust Shelli. And now apparently there was a clown fish sticker in there, too, which represented Johnny Mac because he's such a clown! Really? I'm starting to think the inside of her Green Tuque of Doom is lined with tinfoil considering all these hidden messages she keeps seeing. (I think it was the first time I ever heard about the clown fish sticker and Johnny Mac. Has she told that one before?) Yes and no. She is on medication, but not Adderall from what I've seen/heard. She said it once on the feeds in the early weeks and I saw the discussion of it on Jokers.*(see below for disclaimer) Apparently it's a non-stimulant drug but I wonder about that since it made her feel so "foggy" when they forgot to give it to her. The thing is, HGs should know by now that medication probably won't be flowing from the DR on a regular schedule. There's always something that messes up the schedule, like when Audrey locked herself in the DR for almost six hours and they had to shove Liz in a broom closet to wait until Audrey was done before they could switch them out. Comps usually happen around the same times, but never right on time, so if your med schedule is somewhere in there, it's either going to be early or late. It's just part of living in the BB house. It's probably explained to them at some point before they even enter the house. BB would definitely cover their asses in a situation like that. But hey, at least we don't have an Amanda this year, stashing her pill horde under her mattress to pep herself up before a comp. * Granted, it's been a long time since I saw that discussion on Jokers and there has been an awful lot of wine flowing during the live feeds, so if it turns out I'm wrong, just blame the shiraz, please.

Did he this past week? I had trouble watching the feeds. Mainly because every time I turned them on, Liz and Austin were kissing or making out, so I'd just turn them off again.
