  1. Then Olav stumbling into car only to find King Haakon sitting there. I’ll be honest I felt teary eyed watching the return to Norway and Haakon trying not to cry.
  2. The oldest is pursuing his equestrian career in Canada. So he’s living with his grandparents
  3. Olav was a much loved King of Norway, to show him as jealous and petty is just bad. Same for FDR, “I’ll give the ship to Belgium unless Norway sends Martha!” . While some creative licence is expected, defaming historical figures characters (2 of Olav’s children are still alive) is small minded and mean.
  4. I’m finding host Eden very irritating this season. I’ve never liked the concept of bringing back eliminated contestants. And why only 3 & not 4? Hopefully there’s an explanation why.
  5. Aside from flirting with FDR, Martha was quite busy during the war: Wartime activities why would the fifth columnist encourage her Nazi pals to come ashore when the place was crawling with secret service due to FDRs visit?
  6. French toast from a whole wheat baguette!? Yep that’ll get you sent home. Why not a beautiful quiche instead? Oh Siobhan.
  7. Tartar for a picnic? A gourmet sandwich would have been much better. And a good chef would ignore suggestions to add cheese. Chicken liver pate would have been a much better choice. Darn I really liked Jae Anthony he had some personality.
  8. Princess Astrid is still alive and helps her brother Harald out with a number of duties. I’d love to see an interview with her about her time in the US...yes I think the adults knew poor Vismla was a victim of the Nazis so agreed to the new puppy. According to what I read online Martha actually visited Olav in the UK and went with Roosevelt to meet Churchill in 1941. I hope they show that!
  9. I agree, but this year would have very hard given the pandemic. Hopefully next year! I’d love to see Halifax or Montreal.
  10. PBS has a facts vs fiction on its website and it’s true the fishermen did sing the Nation Anthem as the family went to the ship, in return the Crown Princess held up little Olav to them.
  11. Thea over Jeremey? Yes you’re right Thea is the winner this season. Not watching anymore.
  12. While I would have been happy with any of the bakers winning, was so happy to see Raufikat win! When her Father said how proud he was of her, I got a bit teary eyed...
  13. Great!? I hope he’s out next but likely will be kept around for drama
  14. Raufikat for the win! She’s tackled every bake with grace and dignity...no whining or grizzling. She’s helped the others and seems to get her bakes done in the time limit. Just hoping one of those milque-toast gen z bakers don’t win!
  15. Sheldon really? While he struggled this week, Maggie was worse with a raw bakewell tart!! Mathani wasn’t much better. 😞
  16. Poor Larry, but it’s so close the slightest error sends you home. Raufikat seems to have gained steam and is focussing on good bakes. Fingers crossed she makes to the final.
  17. Ok Anne & Alan are the best hosts ever. Better than the other 4 who tried to make it about them. Please keep them CBC.
  18. I love this show, no host acting like a clown or pontificating. I get hungry every time I watch. We toured Northern Italy in October 2019 after a curling bonspiel and I still have fond memories of the plate of polenta with wild mushrooms I had in Verona so simple, so delicious
  19. Sadly raw bakes send you home almost every time. Oyaks presentation was not much better than Raufikat’s. But the difference was raw dough even though many enjoy eating it. And Raifikats macarons saved her.
  20. I don’t think so either. April-Lee keeps getting a pass...hmmm
  21. Actually it’s shocking that April Lee stayed over Dora. Like last time, Thea slips by without any effort. Starting to remember why I don’t like this show especially with the Becci win.
  22. What I loved was how all the bakers were kind to each other. I also saw Raufikat helping & comforting Bertie. Yes please keep those 2 hosts. No stupid lines and no interference with the bakers.
  23. I’m going to say, love this show due to the diversity of bakes. Even more than GBBO. However, I want the best baker to win on their bakes. Nothing else.
  24. I find the old Tristan crafty but charming this Tristan seems slimy & sly. The depiction of the village fair isn’t quite true as they usually took place in a field complete with bars, food & tents for the best pet contest...that could have been portrayed easily, James, running around, Tristan in the bar, Mrs Hall serving food then competing in rifle contests, finally Siegfried lurking around trying trip up James.
  25. Christine would fit perfectly on RHOBH...perhaps this is her audition. Love Anna’s assessment of Baby Gs birthday party - contrived.
