  1. Lily was crying saying "I can't believe he called me materialistic" I KNEW IT! I knew he would. He considers every woman who doesn't want to live in that damn bus with him a materialistic, stuck up princess. they showed it in the first episodes (or was it the pre-episode),anyway...it wasn't
  2. she doesn't have anything against pearls...peard are a bad wedding omen where she's from. i guess it goes full circle. it's a easy cheap kinda cool way to live in your 20's----you're beneath it when your in your 30's-40's----and then in your 50's-60's it's back to being a cheap easy way to live and you don't care what other people think about it
  3. Maybe because I'm a guy and I'm young, but yeah, I wouldn't mind living like that for a year or so. For the same reasons you say. I'm into minimalist living and I've always wanted to do the "tiny house" thing....but I would understand that it'd be hard to get a woman I was dating (or married to) to be okay with it. I wouldn't even want to live like that after I hit 30. I watch Arranged, too. I guess maybe I can cut David a little slack because though his job is steady, people are always talking about how teacher's don't make that much, and he's in his 20's (I think) but Tom's in his 30's (if I remember correctly) AND owns a business. He can live in a normal home, he just chooses not to and unreasonably looks down on women who don't want to.
  4. Derek's friend is talking kinda negatively on Unfiltered. "He was very commuted [to the show]....He was a very strong believer that the professionals involved in the show would truly find the right person for him" I don't know, could be me, but I don't think it worked out well.
  5. I agree. I think Dr. Pepper seems like a nice person, so I can't really say anything too mean about her, but really, her ideas on why two couples would be great together are ridiculous. She sounds so immature and childish when she talks about people being "sexy together". Can't forget the couples she matched based on the fact that they were both raised by step parents, or they were both bullied as children. --- So it's safe to say that Lillian and Tom's marriage is gonna be an astounding success or a disastrous success. From the pearls to the rain, she's getting bad omens...but we have a thing where I'm from, that the more disaster and bad luck that happens on your wedding day assures a long and happy marriage. That chick Sonia is pretty....but I'm not gonna like, she looks like a completely different person with her wedding hair and make up, it's gonna be a real shocker for the groom to see her the next day...again, not that she's not already pretty, it's just the difference is huge. This dude Nick seems boring, hope that changes. As for now, he's got like 0 personality Tom is really reaching when he's talking about women being "ok" with living on that bus for a short time but then eventually wanting the "white picket fence thing". You're really pushing your luck if you think you're gonna find a woman (or anyone) who's completely ok with that when they can actually afford better as a option. I mean, I don't even think HE wants to live like that long term. Is he planning on raising his children and family in that thing?
  6. Lost what little respect I had left for Ariane. D.Smith was trying to help her out with a vocal coach so her voice could be where she would want it to be to make good music, but that hurt her ego...but she'd rather follow K.Michelle around like a little puppy while she low key shows off how "great" her life is like some lowly music intern.
  7. Yeah, I completely get the religious aspects of Vicki's behavior, it's just super weird to see anyone who's fighting to buy a candle say just a few minutes later that they want to pop out a kid ASAP. And completely agree, Mayur gives me strong con artist vibes. I don't think he'd do anything illegal, but he'd definitely cheat you if you did business with him. And yes about the club thing to. That's why he doesn't want Maneka going out alone because guys just like him are gonna be out there.
  8. i'm probably late on this and everybody else knows...but in the previews for the new season it looks like there might be new "experts"
  9. I liked Vicki alot at first, and I pegged her as the most "mature" out of her and Ben, but then she started talking some nonsense about "making the house look pretty" being an "investment" and wanting kids before they are out of school and have a $150 spending budget a month. Taylor is selfish. Simple fact, she controls everything and David is just supposed to go along with it, but nothing can go his way. She doesn't feel bad until she really thinks he's going for a divorce. Mayur is so freaking gross. His attitude and obsession with money is intensely irritating. I honestly don't know why the dude's on TV. He's so unlikable. I don't see how anyone could like him.
  10. Well, Debbie is what...15?16? AND she just had a baby and still obsessed with Derek. I expect her to be nothing but needy and delusional. Most young girls that age (some boys, too) no matter how much life has scewed them over still envision that everything is going to be all right and that they're gonna live happily ever after. That's Debbie's entire character. She thinks she's going to be a great mother and her and Franny or going to be fine, for no other reason but she wants to. She believes that somehow Derek will come back and love her again, and things will be fine with his family and they'll all be happy together. And no matter what, Frank is her dad and he expects him to do right by her, despite all the evidence to the contrary. But...I really did think when she dropped the baby, it would be the catalyst for change that would lead to giving her up. I was already imagining the scene in my head when Fiona walked in. I thought she was going to crouch on the stairs beside Debbie, she would explain to her that she can't do this, Debbie would agree, tha they'd both cry it out and there'd be a scene of them leaving her at a fire station, police station or church. They whole family and their relationship with Frank still baffles me. I'd be done with a father like Frank, and I'd think most people would, but they all seem to have their weird "acceptance" of him the way he is that they don't care. In every way they OWN this house, but don't correct Frank when he says it HIS. They just sit there and accept him stealing from them and generally doing stupid things. At most, there;s a 5 minute screaming match, or an insult, but they pretty much just leave him alone. I'd say I don't get it, but ofcourse, realistically the writers have to keep him around and present in everyone's lives.
  11. I'm surprised people are "angry" about Fiona not being tougher on Debbie and still letting her live in the house and not sticking to what she said in the first place. I think it was clear from the beginning that IF Debbie did keep the baby, Fiona would go back on that. It's not like she was going to kick her sister out while her new born niece was freezing on the streets. If there's one thing you've had to learn about this show so far, it's that her family (her siblings, at least) is the most important thing in Fiona's world. Personally, this storyline got to me on a deeper level because it's something I experienced. I'm a very "traditional" type of person, as you in you get married THEN have children. My brother had my niece out of wedlock and I was immediately, "I won't accept this child as my niece. It's not right"...but all that went out the door when she was brought around me more. My God, I love that kid. She loves me and I love her more than I can explain. Especially since my brother passed away.
  12. This fucking show. What the hell am I watching Saw the thing with Ian coming. What kind of bad influence is Caleb for telling him to lie? Get ready for a other round of Ian's antics in his "down state" What the hell is going on with Svetlana, Veronica and Kev? That came out of nowhere and was completely unrealistic. V's not in love with her, but it's not just sex, it's something...whatever. Seems like a sad reach for wacky comedy and more lesbian sex scenes. I don't know what to say about Lip, so I won't say anything. I'm calling it now, if Sean doesn't get injured or die at that wedding, something will go wrong and someone else in that family will, Probably Ian (because he's depressed as shit---if he doesn't come to the rescue and save a life) or Fiona herself. Although this story line is despicable, it's the most interesting thing the writers have come up with all season.
  13. they tried to emphasize the part where she called him "Daddy" and tried to make her look really sad...as if that would tug at his heart strings. bs. I mean, they HAVE shown Frank's more human side at times, but it would take much more than that to get him to do anything for her.
  14. I like Yandy, but I do see what Rah and Remy were talking about. She'll say some shady shit, and then back pedal and say "no, I didn't mean it like that". I mean, I get sometimes that's cute. say something smart ass then be innocent about it, but it seems it's the only trick Yandy has up her sleeve and it's getting old. Like she knew what she meant by that "I know you've tried several reality shows" and when Rah said, "don't come or me" she was like, "no, I'm not coming for you, I would never, Me...come for you...oh no" And Rich talking about he only asked his daughter about being a virgin because he thought she was....SO???? under what circumstances would you be asking your daughter that question in front of a camera, whether you "know" she's a virgin or not?
  15. I think the writers are just trying to make some random drama for Kevin and Veronica. From what we've seen about Kevin, I don't think he'd react this way to helping out a friend (especially since it's partially his fault). Did we not see how he tried to help Yanis? Not to mention, as stated above----Kev IS divorced.
  16. that professor that Lip hangs out with is just an intelligent Frank, and Lip is slowly turning into him
  17. Say what you want about Ashley, but you guys know she had a point. David is more in love with the fantasy of being married then he's in love with Ashley. He fought so hard for a women who made it clear she didn't want him. What kind of self respecting man would be all over her the way he was after all that rejection. If people want to praise Neil for growing a pair, we have to look over and realize how David sill has yet to.
  18. Sam's stone-faced "I'm okay" the next morning after storming out of a room and sobbing on the sidewalk is giving me strong *fake* vibes and lowkey *murderer* vibes. The viewers are not stupid, girl you are NOT okay.
  19. Did Lip completely ignore the fact that this isn't Helene's first relationship with a student? and he still thinks there's really something there? and he thinks she's willing to lose her job and her relationship with her son (and maybe her husband- I'm not sure what's going on there) but can't blame him for being a dreamer. But I can't believe that he actually sat there and was about to make the "there's nothing wrong with a consensual student/professor relationship" speech. I know he's smarter than that. Ian's whole "doesn't know how to make small talk on a date-isn't kissing what you do after sex-where I'm from people communicate with their fists-treasure in trash" thing with Caleb is a little sickening. Not everyone from the ghetto is that fucked up. Maybe it isn't something I should even talk about, but really...Nick KILLED the kid? Even given his problems, the dude was prefectly capable of TAKING the bike and leaving. Like she cares. They lived in that house with most of those problems and will live in it after. They don't care. (at least that's what fits into the "these are filthy, scummy, I don't give a shit" attitudes that the writers want you to believe. And Gus is a douche. We get it, she broke your heart but damn, you're being a little bitch about it dude. I would've done the same thing if I knew what she did to my grandmother's ring...but if at that point in time he thinks he can still get it, so he's just hurting her as much as he can. I think they can still buy the house back whether or not Gus signs those papers. They way they explained it, I think those papers were only to relinquish any right to the house he had as Fiona's husband.
  20. For a second there, I forgot Fiona was pregnant. Her and Debbie right now, I just...argh. With this "make their lives suck as much as possible" kick the writers seem to be on, maybe Fiona will keep the baby. Wouldn't be out of character for her to self sabotage her own life by having a baby with a former drug addict who's on the cusp of a relapse, But when I give it more thought, she has a history of getting good things and ruining them...dating the nice guy from World Wide Cup (I forgot his name, I only remember the company name because I thought it was so ridiculous) and holding down a nice job---sleeping with that guy's drug using brother...marrying nice guy,Gus---cheating on him with Jimmy/Jack/Steve...not necessarily making life worse for herself from scratch. I've given it thought and the only way the writers are gonna get her to not have this baby is a miscarriage. We already know Fiona's feelings about having an abortion, there's no drama there, and like you said, Sean isn't fit to be anyone's dad, and ofcourse Fiona is too busy scraping to raise her siblings ro have a kid on her own. This situation even gives the writers a chance at one of those long drawn out Emmy Rossum crying scenes they love (because there will be crying because losing a baby and aborting a baby are two different things) I very much see this happening. It's becoming like a game. Whenever things begin to look up for a Gallagher, use your knowledge of their past to guess how it will ruin their future.
  21. This show is really starting to suck. I know that's not a new opinion, everyone's saying it. I just thought I should add my voice to the fray. I called it last week. Either Ian was become a firefighter or fall in love with one. I still figure it's going towards both because there's a void in his life on both those fronts and if he can't be in the military, firefighting or some kind of law enforcement is an obvious consolation. The only characters who got any kind of "win" in life were Veronica and Kevin, but only with Yanis off their back, the bar is still in question. If the show doesn't start to get better I may just ditch and stop watching.
  22. Dang, Ashley. You really can't shell out 3 measly compliments. You talk about how David is nice, and kind and treats you well all the time. Where was that?
  23. I defintely agree with you here. That part stood out for me for a lot of reasons (some personal) she clearly didn't want to do it and wasn't confident that she could do it well and Rah really should've picked up on that (not there was anything to "pick up", she said it flat out). I've been in both sides of that situation, but at least when I was in Rah's I got the message. "Oh, they really don't think they can do this, and I'd rather do it myself than have them do it and fuck it up"
  24. That's kinda sad. Amina had an abortion and now she's gonna have to sit and watch Tara have Peter's baby. This show is really crossing some lines. I hope all of that his real, because if any of that was planned for drama, that's fucked up because these are real (albeit stupid, irresponsible, and childish) people with real emotions and that has to be hard.(unless the pregnancy was a lie and therefore the abortion---but would a woman really go on tv and say she had an abortion when she didn't?) Amina really had no business sticking around after having that abortion given the things Peter's said and done. She should've flew her ass back to Germany and been done with him. I said before, having an abortion and going back to him would've been pointless, and that's what she did. Although I would really like to hear the reasoning behind what she meant when she said "I thought after this I could never go back to you, but now I see, how could I not?" Same. Though I see Rah as a ridiculous person all together, to have someone you see as a friend almost single handidly ruin an entire event because you were foolish enough to trust them is really hard.
  25. No one can convince me that Sam and her roommate Sammie (those names wtf) haven't had romantic feelings for each other or at least had sex once. You just can't. It annoyed me because aside from the occasional hug and arm around the shoulder, he's been doing just that for the last 3 weeks.
