  1. Yeah, I have to agree with you. I think that's what Dorinda's issue with Heather is all about. They were fine together in the Berkshires before filming started, imo, because it was a relaxed, weekend off, or vacation kind of vibe, but put Heather in the city or in a group of spoiled brats or other alphas and she's a completely different person (which she claimed Dorinda was). I understand why Dorinda called her preachy. Heather does have a way of inflicting her opinion upon everyone else, and if you feel otherwise, she reacts in a condescending manner, like your crazy, or you don't know what you're talking about. I still think she kind of balances out the group, -except when she's trying to get a word in edgewise with Bethenny -her Chatty Cathy/Know-It-All equal (evil twin?) I also think Dorinda doesn't express herself well; That's why no one ever knows WTF she's talking about. The martinis don't help. I think new HW's should get a 2nd season, now that they know what they're dealing with -EXCEPT for Meghan in OC.
  2. imo, Heather wants to help too much. She treats people the way she would want to be treated -not that there's anything wrong with that. Her heart is definitely in the right place, but not everyone is like Heather, and some people would rather be left alone than showered with attention. She couldn't stop encouraging Kristen, after Kristen told her to stop, during the repelling activity last season, and she didn't see that Bethenny just wanted to figure it out on her own at dinner in the Berkshires. I just think she doesn't read people well, and the fact that it happened with Bethenny made it seem that much worse. I hope Heather comes back next season.
  3. Is anyone else slightly disturbed that they were keeping tallies, counting Ramona's drinks? Maybe Dorinda was right about everyone keeping score.
  4. Did anyone else hear what Heather said to Luann when Luann came over to hug her? It sounded to me like she said "I want to throw up. I want to throw up right now." And the more she said it the tighter and longer Luann hugged her. Anyone? I think the awkward way Luann stood up from the couch was the alleged "lunge" toward Heather.
  5. Did Andy even talk to her? I don't remember her turn under the microscope, not even to discuss the denim and diamonds thing. Did I fall asleep?
  6. My favorite part about the perk of going to Nascar because you're Jimmy Edmonds wife/friend? When Danica Patrick came out, the only person she recognized was Terry. Yeah, Meghan, keep telling yourself how famous Jimmy is, you're the only one who seems to know who he was. oh, sorry, is.
  7. I wish I knew about the age limits on music appreciation. I guess this means I have to get rid of my Dean Martin and classical music cds.
  8. On the subject of the alleged toast at the beginning of the season. I didn't watch the show when Bethenny was on before, so I don't know what her previous relationship with Luann was like. Would Luann want to take down Bethenny? was she trying to set up Heather and Carole? or is this something between Heather and Carole only? or just another accusation to throw at Lu? There did seem, at first, to be some scheming going on. Heather did tell Kristen that everyone was at Bethenny's party, then went to Beth and told her how hurt Kristen was (who wasn't offended until she got off the phone with Heather, but not enough to bring it up. ever.) And then there was that BS lie that Carole told Kristen about Bethenny calling Kristen dumb for naming her polish Pop of Color. If I were Kristen I'd be upset that I was being used as a pawn in this game. But that's where any apparent attempts to rile Bethenny stopped (at least I think so), maybe because she didn't take the bait. I think Bethenny, being well aware of what happens on these shows, refused to get pulled into any petty ridiculousness -she may not have been on for a few seasons, but she's no newbie. Even if Luann had made the toast, Heather and Carole don't strike me as followers or people that would plot against another without valid cause. Wasn't Luann the one that suggested they go to both brunches in the Hamptons so as not to start anything? Is she that sly? to try to look the peace maker, while adding the ingredientses to the stirring pot? Why not just blow off Bethenny's brunch to really piss her off and get the ball rolling?....oh yeah,...free Skinny Girl blenders, no wonder they were so late to Ramona's.
  9. I can just see it now; The Bravo Struggle Salad "Cook"book coming to a store near you. I see them doing the morning talk show circuit as a team -Carol attempting the comic relief by sharing how she had no idea you could make your own tapenade, she thought it only came prepared in jars...
  10. I'm so glad I didn't have a mouthful of coffee when I read that! wouldn't you love an episode where the limo breaks down at K&A and the women have to get out and walk? Dressed like they were for the reunion, they'd have no trouble getting picked up...I mean a ride,...well,.. you know what i mean.
  11. To me, it almost seemed like they (Carole and Heather) had toasted to taking down Luann at the reunion. Carole was really on the slut-shaming warpath with her allegations of bathroom trysts and stating as a fact that Luann had sex with Alastair the house manager and the man that she brought back and sent home. Luann admitted to flirting and making out, but said there was no sex (not that she's never been known to lie). I thought Carole was better than the "Oh yeah?!, well you did ....." type of fighting. I guess I gave her too much credit.
  12. agreed! Luann's argument made no sense. From what I could tell, the age thing wasn't necessarily an issue, just something else for Luann to add to her list of why Carole dating Adam is wrong. If Adam was in fact still seeing or hooking up with Luann's niece (did Luann break girl code by sharing that with us?), then I can understand why she might be upset, especially if her niece was upset...What makes Carole (and Heather) think that just because Adam told her it was over with Luann's niece, that it actually was? Here's a news flash Carole, men lie (just ask Ramona). And why is it such a faux pas for guests/friends to pick up and date the help, but they are fair game for relatives? Luann will have to write a follow-up book on etiquette regarding the domestic help , because she lost me on that one. eta: and why isn't Luann mad at Adam?
  13. Agreed! I think they should have given Carole bloodshot eyes.
  14. It's really a double or triple edged sword. If you do have children, you are judged harshly by whether or not you breastfeed, and whether or not you go back to work (Hello Vicki Gunvalson, I am looking at you). I'm sorry people have been so rude to you. It's none of their business. People are crazy.
  15. It didn't look very child friendly either.
  16. Sorry, I exaggerated. I must have been thinking of SonJa's friends. I'm still confused as to what Luann's girlcode is. Is she still mad at Heather too, or just Carole? And how is what they did worse than Luann picking up and making out with a married man? imo, she is making way too much out of this (but that's how Housewives work). Funny how she was never mad at Kristen or the house manager guy for "outing" that her hookup was married. Weren't Sonja and Luann's exes significantly older than them?
  17. I agree that Luann's comment to Carole about not having any children (to introduce your barely legal boyfriend to) was totally and completely uncalled for. Carole is not innocent in this little back and forth game. She sits with Bethenny in her new apartment telling her about how Luann has 2 sides: Luann and The Countess. She goes on to say how fun Luann is, but The Countess has kidnapped her and she's judgmental with hypocritical standards that Luann doesn't live by, (hooking up with VERY young men) and how ludicrous it was to even think that they wanted to catch Luann with a man, etc...then in her talking head bitches about Luann talking shiat behind HER back? I like Carole, and I don't usually mind Luann, but don't go complaining that someone's gossiping about you as you gossip about them.
  18. I don't think Dorinda is ready for another committed relationship. She is still mourning Richard in a BIG way. I think she loves John, but I think she views him as more of a companion than a life partner. Maybe she's like Ramona and has a need to be in a relationship. I felt bad for both of them. John seems to adore her and wants to be with her. She was, obviously, uncomfortable with him showering her with the sentiments she still feels about Richard. I don't think he will ever be the next love of her life, maybe over time, but I think the loss of Richard is still very much an open wound.
  19. I thought the rule was to remove the "Adam and" part to see if "I" or "me" should be used. I think your examples are correct. it would not be correct to say "The cab driver took Adam and I to the store." because the driver did not take "I" to the store, so that would be a case where "Adam and me" is correct. At least that's my understanding of it. Maybe Common Core has changed grammar rules as well.
  20. it was as bad and annoying as her "Ramona wants to know where all the hot men are" rant .
  21. I think that's part of why she went off like that. She's admitted it was a silly argument that got out of control crazy over nothing. I think she was just trying to joke about it.
  22. That was a strange scene. I had to laugh that Bethenny and Ramona looked as confused as I was as to why Heather interrupted their conversation, and what her point actually was.
  23. I like how the thought of driving Hayley to school never seemed to have occurred to Meghan as a way to get her to attend classes. She gave them a look like "why would I drive her to school, she has a car?" I hope she never has a baby. the poor thing will have to drive herself to the pediatrician's office in her Barbie Jeep Wrangler. I wonder if Hayley graduated?
  24. I wonder if Meghan will replace Camille Grammar as most loathed housewife in her first season? Camille pulled off a comeback, mostly because Kelsey was/is such an ass (gross understatement). I don't think Meghan can pull off a comeback, and I hope she's not offered the opportunity.
