  1. I don’t get why they moved to the UK if he was going to work from home and keep US working hours.? Doesn’t make sense.
  2. I’d rather watch them have cocktails and dish about the craziest/weirdest clients they have shown homes to.
  3. OMG, yes! Me too! And all those freckles on her arms. I did like the husband saying the “kids” didn’t get any say in what they bought since the kids weren’t buying it. I’m glad they picked that house. It was my fave. The manic wife mentioned not furnished not the husband. He wasn’t insisting on not furnished. In any case, they chose the garishly furnished place.
  4. Oxfordshire: Yeah, the wife’s manic affect drove me nuts. I thought at the beginning she said they both worked for companies that had opportunities to work overseas. Maybe I misheard. Why were they homeschooling the kids in the UK? Not as if there was a language barrier. How were the kids going to make friends? Always great to see Richard! He needs his own HGTV series.
  5. That’s understandable early on when you move to foreign country that is so different from what you are used to.
  6. WA to Thailand: I guess the mattresses there are like the ones in China. It was like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. It killed my back. I finally bought a foam pillow to put on the mattress and sleep on.
  7. Wonder if they could put a curtain across the front of the bathroom area? That really was ridiculous. Every time you hear someone on the steps, you’d have to yell “Stop! On the throne down here.” And I don’t want to think of the smelly times!?
  8. NY to Amsterdam: That tulip farm was gorgeous. I wonder what the girlfriend did for a living. Consulting about what? Being shallow?
  9. I couldn’t listen to what Gus did to the coatimundi (they are so cute) so I muted it. I’m happy knowing what Don Hector does to Gus. Poor Jimmy. He was so crushed standing there at that kitchen doorway. Just knew he would give Mrs. Nguyen a phone. Nice seeing Mrs. Strauss again and that Jimmy had emotion about her passing.
  10. On AP’s I Was Prey, a grown woman in E. Vancouver, BC was attacked and nearly killed by a raccoon. It wasn’t rabid either (the woman expected to get the course of rabies injections but was told E. Vancouver had eradicated rabies).
  11. I baby talk to my pets, but I’m not a veterinarian on a TV show. Drs. Brenda and Emily from Dr. Pol’s practice don’t do it. Neither do the female vets at Dr. Jeff’s. I haven’t watched Dr. K’s for very long. Is Dr. Thielen the young vet with long curly brown hair? She’s the one who goes overboard with the baby talk. Why baby talk to a snake? They can’t hear! BTW, why take your little pet tortoise to pet sit a puppy or leave it out if you are pet sitting at home? Puppies like to chew things.
  12. Me too. At least it was a bright color. Did they mention what they couple did for a living?
  13. I hope the calf in the vest made it. And that poor Nubian goat.
  14. Yeah, the whole “picture is worth a thousand words” effect. Whatever Dr. K says or whatever is written on the bottom of the screen will be negated by the image of that adorable monkey or lemur on the screen. Tonight they had another precious baby monkey that had been ripped from its mother. Bet in the wild the mother owl monkey kept those hairs from getting wrapped around the her baby’s thumbs through grooming. Wonder how long it will be before those people regret keeping those baby raccoons as pets. They were young enough to be rehabbed by specialists and put back in the wild. The hammie with the tiny cast was adorable.
  15. It was wonderful how Johnny turned around. The foster mom did a good job with her.
  16. The parents were so worried about steps yet the kids were playing on a trampoline at the end. ?
  17. In one of the montages of animals in the waiting room, they showed a little baby goat gamboling about. If that wasn’t cute enough, it was wearing a onesie! ?
  18. Ecuador: Dude, a couple of blocks from the ocean won’t protect you from tsunamis. See those mountains? They will. ? I thought House 2 was fine. I doubt the relatives in KY would come down to visit a lot. There was that lovely rooftop area plus a huge outdoor living room in the courtyard.
  19. Phoenix: Yeah, lots of Victorian houses there! ? When she said of the nice pantry in one house, “Oh, I could put my couponing stuff here!” I thought, “Or you could store food and kitchen/cleaning supplies there!”
  20. The author of that article is an idiot: “nearly irrefutable that keeping most exotic pets doesn’t differ at all, ethically, from keeping so-called domesticated animals as long as they are receiving proper care.” Bullshit! It is absolutely irrefutable. Does this person have no idea how many animals die as a result of the exotic animal trade?
  21. I feel ambivalent about the show for that reason. I want Dr. K to explicitly state that animals like monkeys, sloths, and anteaters should not be pets. Then again, she could say that and people will just look at a marmoset on the show and say “Ooh, I want a cute little monkey!”
  22. AU to Rome: All that and she just moves in with the (creepy) boyfriend? What a waste of an episode. I liked the funky apartment the best.
  23. Kids do have to learn to deal with stairs. Geeze! I’m so over HH wanting “white kitchens.”
  24. Sure! ? Just ask me before I pick up my fork. When I eat a slice of cake, I carefully eat the cake first then eat the frosting!
  25. BTW: I got a forum started for Dr. K’s Exotic Animal ER If any Dr. Pol fans here watch that series.
