HOW would Jinger really escape? Her knowledge of the outside world is distorted so, she is afraid of us. She needs a real plan and a go fund me account. Then someone has to get close to her and hand her a Hello Kitty keychain flashdrive with all the information. Maybe sneak 'tracts' into her bible or under her windshield until curiosity gets the better of her. JK, but it must be very frightening, to her, to think of leaving. Oh please TLC, give Jill R a show. :) Don't let them move out of the bus though. They have to stay in the bus. How about a caravan of the Rodrigues and the other Rodrigues. A show with a whole bunch of different fundies with large families. Why limit this to just one? Add a smattering of escapees so while they are watching their episodes, some ideas sneak in for the captives (err children). Don't mess with the 'leaving fundies' like you did 'leaving amish'. Just, you know, slip envelopes of cash under the table to them without manipulating the story line. I can't believe I don't work for TLC :D.

If it's true that JB is skimming donations from Jill and Derrick, it is unlikely that they have caught on to him. Here is a guy who pocketed all the money and is still getting paid through his kids, this time with their consent? If true, and I don't know how to check that out, the kids are no where near aware of how greedy their father is. Greedy enough to bury Josh's 'sins' so that their show, or his political career could continue. I don't believe the way they handled Josh's 'inappropriate touching' had much, or anything to do with religion, more to do with $ and celebrity status. IMO of course. They need to do shows like this special to stay relevant. If this opens old wounds for the girls I doubt JB gives a shit. If it is a test for their marketability then they do it.

I just watched a clip of the Bates show on UP. Haven't watched any episodes or anything, but Wow! How did TLC choose the Duggars over this family? The Bates are so much less contrived and natural as well as so much more charisma from the parents. The clip I watched was them explaining skirt swimwear while at the lake. They didn't go on about modesty or gawd, just a brief explanation of what it felt like to swim in a skirt. Granted I have not watched their show, but 19 kids and counting, was getting to the point where that Duggar studio video of Jill leaving seemed as natural as the TLC episodes. Oh and don't get me started on that little Callie and her history quiz.. omg adorable. Their girls have come a long way with fashion as well. It was going to happen with social media and interaction with the world. For some reason it is easier to accept this family adapting over Jessa and her sausage t shirts. The Bates are open to evolving and less judgemental, is that what I am sensing? Also, someone mentioned that when they had a failed courtship, they admitted it and moved on. Like oh well, that wasn't the best option, we learned, we adapted. The Duggars on the other hand, the Josh situation. UGH! If Gothard wants to recruit, the Bates and not the Duggars are the horse to put their money on. Just my opinion, from admitted limited viewing. Still don't like the cult, just sayin'.

I think Jill looks fine. It's sort of a boho thing she has going on. She is light with the makeup and it looks good on her. Regardless of what I think of their grifting, the entire family looks happy and healthy.

Even though they were probably paid to attend, and even though they probably had everything comped, it is great that Jessa and Jill attended this training program. Isn't that what we wanted? Is there any chance that this starts them questioning JB after the way he handled things?

Wanted to quote Churchhoney above me, but it doesn't seem to be working. Anyone wonder why the Dillards aren't using their 'fame' to post what the locals need? How can one donate to the local people or, what can be done from 'overseas' to help them? It's just Dillards having fun, Dillards in a prayer circle, Dillards taking a much needed break to go to the beach. Jill just stands there with Israel. Nice donate button to help the Dillards though. Could John David become a bush pilot? Alaska maybe? He might really enjoy the solitude and freedom of that lifestyle. Jessa has access to tv and internet now. She has every opportunity to read all the classics from free booksites online, or search science sites if she wants. It's up to her as the parents are no longer restricting her. I don't feel bad for the marrieds or the adults anymore. They choose ignorance and isolation.
