  1. How about the Christmas episodes? Here are some that I find memorable-- Sentimental Favorite: Season 2, "Christmas Party." The first episode I ever saw, and I was reeled in by Jim and his teapot. Never missed another episode after that. Most Hilarious: Season 3, "A Benihana Christmas." Best part was Michael marking "his" date with a Sharpie, so he could tell the girls apart. Happiest Christmas: Season 7, "Classy Christmas." Holly's back, and Michael's got a smoking jacket. Things are looking good! Honorable mention: Season 9, "Dwight Christmas." Dwight's enthusiasm for Belsnickle knows no bounds. Kinda scary, that one.
  2. Thanks for the explanation, Lionne. I had thought that some of Amy's remarks had reached an overly risque level, and were occasionally a little too creepy--even for a socially awkward person like Amy. The more innocent compliments seemed to show Amy's efforts to initiate (and later cement) a friendship. It was almost as though by complimenting Penny, she was hoping (longing) for someone to notice and remark upon her own long beautiful hair or glowing skin or excellent posture.
  3. I was not blown away by this ep. Diane had her moment, David Lee had his moment, and Cary had his. But to get over the loss of Will as an integral part of the show, I need these next few episodes to grip me and pull me away from the shock of his death and start showing me where we're going from here.
  4. Maybe the PreviouslyTV LHOTP thread will develop in its own style, instead of just duplicating the old TWOP thread. Then again, it might not. **turns and runs away**
  5. Nancy, hon, I'm pretty sure Marcus isn't interested. But I can't blame a girl for trying.
  6. I'll take Tasha. She's had airtime, but not too much. She's had a decent edit thus far. I could see her laying low for the first part of the merge, building alliances to last through to end game. Go Tasha!
  7. Kayla was such a deserving winner. She is so completely her own person, in all the best ways. Girl is not afraid to let her nerd flag fly! So happy for her.
  8. Just the thought of sharing a kitchen brings tears to my eyes. **wipes eyes, checks fingers for black goo**
  9. I just started watching TGW this season. I was hooked when I saw Will's cold, steely glare following Alicia out the door as she left for FA. I hadn't seen a man with such blood in the eye since JR Ewing. I thought, that's it, that's a character, that's a relationship I want to know more about. So I binged on old episodes all winter, trying to figure out what made Will tick (and what in the world does he see in Alicia?). While I don't feel like I understand the character, when watching Will I was always wondering what he would do next, what is he thinking, how will he react to this situation? Sadly, I am not given to deep, insightful analyses of tv characters, especially such complex characters. So complex that now, all these episodes later, Will is still an intriguing enigma to me. Back in college English, I struggled with the concept of realism vs. naturalism. In watching Will and Alicia, it suddenly became clear; Alicia is a portrayal of a realistic character (realism). Will isn't a portrayal, he IS a real character (naturalism). Finally, clarity! Twenty years too late. Ah, Will, I hardly knew ye!
