  1. I wish I would have got the FJ but I did not! I also said Alexander Hamilton because it was the only one I could think had to do with money but I knew it would be wrong. When I saw the category, I thought I don't know anything about the Revolutionary War. However, I have heard of Benedict Arnold! It made me realize that usually the FJ answer is something that is more or less a household name. It is not going to be some obscure trivial tidbit that most people never heard of. In most cases it is something quite common. Therefore, my mind should have listed anyone I knew from the Revolutionary War period and narrowed it down from that. Alas, I did not but hopefully this huge mistake will help me in the future!
  2. I really hate when in these TV forums people are constantly saying over every little thing "oh this TV person is on the spectrum" "oh this is aspergers!"- but I am going to be that annoying poster myself now. Arnav's behavior after the 9/10 in current events test was such a typical aspie thing! They throw tantrums over things "not being fair" when indeed it's completely ridiculous and they cannot get themselves together. His mother said for a good 30 minutes he stared at the wall and cried about not getting the perfect score even though they tried to tell him that he is in second place overall and in no danger of losing! This rational thought makes no sense when they are having an aspie meltdown like this. I've seen it and it's impossible to get them to come out of it. I don't think he was being a brat.
  3. I watched only my second episode of this but it seems they are given a dossier of all the stuff that will be asked and covered, so you have to memorize the dossier in the time before that topic. I am no genius but I am good and memorizing and study skills. There is no way they would know all those current events on their own. It could be 1000 facts they are given and will be asked 10 of them from all of that.
  4. did anyone noticed that they dragged that Bitch Amanda Valentine back on the show AGAIN? She is doing some producer, I'm positive of it and she must give very good BJs.
  5. I nearly choked when that stupid expert (sorry don't care enough to learn the names) said something like "even with people who are super attracted to each other have periods where they are not attracted to the other person. This is something that needs to be worked through". He was talking about David and Ashley! This is entirely a different thing with them! What a colossal idiot! These experts are such assholes. The first season I was REALLY impressed about the fact that these were "real marriages" and they were "husband and wife". I think at the time we were not even sure if these were legal and binding and the divorce process. It seemed like such an insane concept! I really felt for the couples being truly married. By this season I just see it as a ridiculous fake "marriage" and I don't take it as seriously as in Season 1. And I don't think these couples do either because they have seen 4 out of 6 couples divorce with no lasting ramifications.
  6. The mistake Dr Now made was telling her to lose 5 pounds in a month. She was sure she could eat whatever she wanted for 3 weeks and then lose the weight the last few days so she didn't even try. It was too small of an amount so she didn't have the Fear of Now in her. I think he knew she was full of shit about the pain because it was her pattern to make up pain to get attention. She did it over and over and over that is why he didn't listen. It's like the boy who cried wolf, maybe that really was something but the constant fake symptoms no one is going to believe her. I was laughing seeing her eat a huge plate of the most fattening food saying that she had to because she was so weak to keep her strength up!
  7. I got Slovenia! Lizard Point geography quizzes are paying off!
  8. I think Lauren B is very unattractive, I keep seeing her at age 45 with that giant forehead and ugly nose and no chin. She does have a hot body, so I'll give her that but she is not pretty and her vocal fry is in the top 3 of this year's cast so that really is something! This voice is excrutiating! I agree that Jubilee is not "complicated" just mentally unstable and all wrong for this show. I'm surprised how much I like Ben cause I usually enjoy making fun of the bachelor. I cannot stand Becca! I hate the recycling of contestants. Another one with a hot body and so-so face. The personality is so bland though. I think Ben liked Emily when she was the goalie at the soccer game and was doing such a great job blocking shots. They really are sweet girls but not right for him.
  9. It was a beautiful family, why do horrible things happen to lovely people like this? It was the saddest yet best episode ever. Monty was so respectful and didn't say anything dopey.
  10. Jen Arnold is very accomplished. She does a wonderful job running the simulations at the hospital. On Little Couple they showed her directing a few simulations, one specifically for separating co-joined twins. It's a practice run with dummies and doctors and nurses all simulating how it is going to be. She is quite accomplished as well as a NICU doctor. She brings a stool around with her. As for Schwa, I didn't know what is was but my 22 year old son did. They never taught me that in school, I never heard of it. This is why I watch, to learn new things. Emily Dickinson is always the answer I notice when there is a poem.
  11. Did anyone watch? forum is a wasteland. I thought it was okay not a great episode.
  12. I said before it started that all 4 deserved to go and whoever got cut, Tim would save because none of these 4 deserved to be cut. So , yeah, big surprise. and Kelly is getting heavy again, the blue lips were to distract..how she keeps getting these jobs on TV is beyond me.
  13. I would also like to point out that the TV streaming category was awful. I am a big TV watcher and I never heard of any of those! But I guess I don't watch streaming TV. Terrible category. I did like 70s rock but I knew those to impress my 20 something sons! Just like the Woodstock category the other day- it helps to be of a certain age on a lot of these music questions.
  14. I m sick of the expression "cookie cutter" - this house is so cookie cutter! I don't want something cookie cutter..did people used to say this? cause it's one of those expressions that needs to die. Except I just saw a car commercial using cookie cutter so I think we are doomed.
  15. First I said Lipari, which is in the same island group as Stromboli -but I knew that was wrong because I knew it had to be more of a household name than Lipari. I then though of Pantelleria but that seemed too hard as well. Then I said Lampedusa as my final answer. I was trying to think of known islands off of Sicily. Sardegna and Corsica are not near Sicily or would not be described as "islands off of Sicily". It kills me that after I guessed Lipari I didn't think of the most known island there (to Americans anyway due to the food called Stromboli) and I didn't think of it, even though I was there! I also have a photo of it hanging in my den, right next to the TV! I'm kicking myself for that! It's so cool about a few hundred people live there. This is because it is so remote. It's hard to get to Lipari from Sicily (Milazzo) but that is the main island of the 8 island group. From Lipari it's a long way to Stromboli. I don't know how they get supplies there. It is beautiful though. I took a boat tour from Lipari and the boat does not like to leave the island until the tourists have seen the volcano give off a puff of eruption. So the captain of the boat kept yelling "DAI STROMBOLI" which means "Come On Stromboli!" cause they wanted to head back. It sounds like "Die Stromboli" which just cracked me up.
  16. I came upon this link today in my facebook feed and have decided instead of wasting time on TV forums or facebook I am going to google every one of the famous people on these colored charts. If you know who all these people are and what works/work they are most famous for and when and where they lived, you will know 50% of the Jeopardy questions or more. I thought you folks would appreciate this article. I found in amazing! http://waitbutwhy.com/2016/01/horizontal-history.html(really famous people's lifespans) if I do this instead of wasting time on facebook and Previously TV, I might know something. I love these history charts but as an opera lover I am VERY annoyed that Giuseppe Verdi was left out.
  17. It really boggles the mind that Ashley signed up for this show. There HAS to be a major financial incentive because being filmed talking about anything personal, private or about herself seems to mortify her. I would not go on TV because I would be embarrassed so I would just not try out. I am nothing like Ashley in that I can have a conversation but just knowing what it would be like to be followed around by cameras, I could not do it, I am too insecure. Maybe she felt like this was an opportunity to get herself squared away financially. Maybe she felt like it would take the stress out of dating? She seems to hate small talk and getting to know someone so she figured she could fast forward all that. She doesn't sleep with a guy for 3 months- which is fine- but why would you go on a show where you have to develop an intimate relationship quickly ie getting married which presumes you consummate if not the first night, then on the honeymoon or shortly after. If the whole idea of sex with someone you know less than 3 months is revolting...well you have 6 weeks here.. I have never been so baffled about why she 1. tried out for this show and 2. why she was selected over at least 1000 other applicants.
  18. I do love these kids! It's clear that they are happy and well adjusted. Will is happy about everything! Buying baby carrots sent him over the edge of joy! I love when he said something about not "messing up Mommy's table" with the rocks kit. Also saying that Zoe is too young! When you think of how Zoey screamed bloody murder the day they got her, she is a joy to behold!
  19. I know they can afford this stuff and they like it. I know Jen has had a hard life and works hard and can spend her money how she please. I understand that they have plenty of money and can spend it to make themselves happy. It just makes me laugh when every episode we see another dumb thing that Jen bought that is really silly for the kids. It's wasteful that this stuff was even invented and this couple has ALL of it. It makes me shake my head! In fact now I even look for the dopey thing she spent money on that thousands of years of child raising people have done without. Like she had special hats made with names on it that you wear only when baking cookies. This stuff has a limited use yet Jen loves it, God bless her! I love that she is lining the pockets of the entrepreneurs who come up with these ideas! . And when you keep buying it, it winds up in the bottom of the toybox with 50 million other things you just "had to have"! I bet we see a big "The Klien -Arnold Garage sale" or "the Kleins donate a dumpster full of material things to charity"episode soon when they realize their house is over-run with useless crap. Every nonsensical unnecessary thing out there marketed for kids the Klein Arnolds own. To each his own -but I get a real kick out of seeing what dumb extravagant item Jen has bought this week.
  20. She bought 2 of them with shipping $40 down the toilet on crap. It's non-stop wasted money.
  21. Most of the clues in Horse Health had not much to do with horses. "artificial insemination" could be humans or lots of other species. The teeth question is also used for Dogs. I yelled colic at the TV as soon as I saw the category. However giving an extra clue in there "it makes human newborns cry in pain" meant you didn't have to know a damn thing about horse health either. I was mad because I know a lot about horse health and anyone could have answered the questions. What is a gallop? COME ON!!
  22. Again Jen buying stupid overpriced things marketed to parents with income. I am talking about the idiotic massive Chore Chart thing with 100 pieces. Why not get a pencil and paper to track chores? Oh yeah you can't buy that. That must have cost a fair bit and is HUGE and just more crap for the playroom. She loves these stupid things! I just can't! I mean I wish I came up with it myself to sell to rich gullible people but that is another ball of wax. Aside from every show them showing some other stupid wasteful thing that Jen bought for the kids, I do love the show and watching the kids develop.
