She seems lucky :) I liked his character and when he turned up on Southland, I was like there's Brenda's prom date! Like to hear long married stories!

I always thought it was so weird and I need to look at IMDb and figure out the time line, but why did they replace Susan with a pale imitation in Tracy. Was it because she left for Buffy? Where Anya was an amazing character and would have kicked Brandon's ass. I even feel like they looked so similar and just replaced newspaper with tv station.

I hooted and hollered when I saw Bob...then doubted myself, and rewound 25 times. And yes, it reminded me of Cooper on the floor too. And during that scene with the sooty people, I kept thinking Bad Coop's black and white outfit had turned back into Good Cooper suit. Wishful thinking on my part, I guess. Haha, the credits had the "The" in quotations marks! I thought the frog-bug was cute. I agreet - I swear there is a second where it does turn into good Cooper's suit towards the end and then when he is by himself it was back to bad Coop. Because I was like oh god they killed good coop and not bad coop is in dougie.

I mentioned this a few episodes ago and I don't know how to spoiler tag this so I will put in the rest of what I said at the time, but he does get a pretty hilarious arc.

I just finished a 3 season and movie rewatch of VM, I'm so excited for this! Plus it gives me something to listen to between the 90210s and the new Twin Peaks podcasts. I have a long commute and this will greatly improve it.

I always associate it with the OC. I recently watched all of rectify on Netflix and Into Dust was in one episode and I immediately knew it from the OC. Also I am happy they ended the season with a Sandra win. I was so sad for her in the middle of the season when she lost the guy and had to admit she was lying about Jeff. It is like the Gerry thing on Parks and Rec - I can only take so much of seeing someone humiliated.

S03.E13: Kimmy Bites an Onion!
queenbee9b replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt [V]
Not as old as I am because I knew it was him the first time. I love that he and Carol Kane are both in this show. I watch the rest of the season today so this might have the been in the episode before - but all I could think is that Xan looks like Tina Fey and she could totally be Andrea's daughter. -
Ah that makes sense. I just remember them smoking a lot of pot in like 2 days and becoming "addicted" Plus the guy is the lead from Teen Witch (my favorite 80s movie).

I went to SF last July and nobody warned me in advance. I brought some light cardigans and then had to buy a scarf and a heavier zip up sweater thing. Now I know why SF people have a lot of fleece tops :) I also go to hear like 10 times about the quote "The coldest winter I ever faced was summer in San Francisco"

During my hulu rewatch I only made it through the first episodes of the next season and then I was out. I did kind of like the graduation episodes so maybe I will go back for those. The worst part at the end was boring Matt (who played a tiny, but imporatnt part in Billions this season). Also, I swear, that Steve's friend dies from pot or something else that was highly unlikely.

Chuck made a lot of new enemies this time around that know too much -- the look on Watley's face during the final montage was intense.

As soon as I read the part about the blue overprint and answer board, I thought password and then finished reading your post. We had the password version too! I used to love playing that.

I was the right age when this show was first on, but I had just left DC and was not in the mood to watch a show that was all DC all the time, even though every one of my friends loved this show and proclaimed it the best thing ever. So I just wanted the whole show in like 3 weeks and I never really followed anything online (except since I was on TWoP, I did know the the whole sorkin on the boards things, but not the context), so these might not be the most unpopular opinions and if so I apologize. I completely agree with Bees, I liked Josh with Joey, at least she stood up to him in a non combative way (Amy) and didn't idolize him (Donna). To me the Donna you see in Season 7 is at least not working for him and doesn't seem to need his approval as much, so that is better than if he ended up with Season 1-5 Donna. I like Will for the most part -- but to be fair I think it is because I like Josh Malina (on Scandal before they destroyed the David Rosen character and on his podcast and his twitter) so I feel like I might be feeling more generous to the character than I would have when it was original on and I would have not been familiar with the actor. Plus, I kind of like the idea that he and Mary McCormick like each other enough as friends that she brought him to In Plain Sight. I hate season 6 more than season 7 -- maybe that is because I know they are trying to wrap things up at this point so I can give it a break, but season 6 was such a slog. Part of the reason (which continues through season 7) is the separation of the cast - episodes with CJ, Leo, Barlett and Toby, then different episodes with Donna, Josh, and Will aren't as compelling as they were when they are all together. Plus, I just felt like the humor was gone once Sorkin left (this is probably not an UO), even when serious things happened in 1-4 there was something in mos episodes that was lighter. Also, I love Lily Tomlin, but I could have done without her at all in this series. I think she might have been for the lightness I felt was missing above, but she was in so few episodes that it didn't really work for me.

Fun timing I saw Joey Slotnick in the Front Page on Broadway last week. He doesn't list 90210 fake puck in his who's who in the playbill

I was more of a Wet Seal shopper.

Yes! I think it's so rude that no one thinks she deserves to be paid. She came at no notice without a negotiated contract as a FAVOR, based on a trusting relationship with Dylan. I didn't have the shirt- but I had SATIN jeans. And I rocked those like no body's business with this fake Asian-print stop. I bought the jeans from Limited Express and the top from The Warehouse (I think... or maybe Judy's). It was before the days of Forever 21. This is the worst! Dylan is a total man-whore, yet he talks such crap about Val. I really wish they just had Val ditch the gang and have fun in college, run the PPAD, and have run ins with the mob or something. She is so amazing and everyone makes her feel like a loser next to Kelly (eating disorder, burned in fire, cult, drugs). I had a satin-y fuchsia shirt but it was not a buttoned one, more like a tight t-shirt which I wore with my black velvet overalls. This was my first year of college so 96-97, so like 2 years behind the show? Mine was all from Old Navy, which at the time was new and exciting and only free standing and not in malls :)

You got: Andrea Zuckerman Mature, opinionated, and too smart for your own good, you’re the kind of person who never seems to fit in. You’re always handing out unsolicited advice to friends, and free condoms to teenagers. Parties “aren’t your scene.” Your greatest obstacle is yourself — as well as unplanned pregnancies, anti-Semitic sorority girls, and oncoming traffic. I knew this would be the outcome, but it still makes me sad :)

I think this is hard because it is an all season 1 discussion. I don't know how we can do that with spoiling people? Maybe they feel there isn't enough interest for individual episode threads because it was made available all at once?
-
I am little sad because I remember this and the cult being much long (I know the cult has more). Like in my memory these plots take like half the season, but this was really 2 episodes.

I streamed the whole thing on Saturday (yes, I am aware I have no life) and I have really mixed feeling about it. Overall, I thought it was good, there was some things I can't tell if I was just my imagination. Like in the episode where Dory quits her job, stops investigating, and thinks she might have a new job with the mentoring woman, the scenes seemed to be shot to look brighter (maybe to make it seem like she was more hopeful?). I know there is a lot of discussion about whether there is a season 2 or not. I think you leave it where it is (otherwise, isn't just season 1 of HTGAWM?

I actually took the L/L conversation about money and April a totally different way. She offers to help him with the money and he says no. I think it was just a throw away to show they are still keeping their finances seperate, not that she doesn't think he should pay for April. Also the fat shaming really pissed me off and took me out of things. Summer was my least favorite of the 4.

S42.E06: Dave Chappelle / A Tribe Called Quest
queenbee9b replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Saturday Night Live
Always watch on Hulu (too old to stay up :)) and it is not censored, so you should be all set. I have watched more full episodes of SNL this year than I have in years and I thought tonight was great. It is also the first musical act that I watched both performances of this season and loved it. My favorite sketch was election night and I was so happy to see Chris Rock. -
Overall I really enjoyed this season and the reunion recapped it nicely. I could not stand Alyssa and Coco and their feud in season 5 so this season I am surprised how much I ended up enjoying Alyssa. I loved Katya, but can see how Alsaka won. i am so happy Adore was there for the reunion. I really like her and was said when she quit. Glad she is still working with the group. i really enjoyed Detox this season as well (also didn't like during her season).
