  1. Good point that might be why “Rebecca” last so long. She wasn’t an insta model, she was a real person. She was beautiful but not in a fake too polished way. Karen (my fav) was the worst wirh this - too perfect and then even more filtered.
  2. I am convinced it is because a much of major magazines pointed out that it was online. I googled and I saw it was mentioned in Oprah’s magazine, and a couple of others and like the next day it notes they took them down. I think Karen should have been herself (I loved her), but I don’t think you can compare the women to Shooby. I think women who aren’t “traditionally” attractive are judged much harsher than men. Think of all of those 90s/early 2000s sitcoms with shlubby husbands and hot wives, so I don’t blame Karen and the new woman (whose name I am sorry I don’t remember!) chose to use other photos.
  3. I am on last Troy episode this am. It moved to Acorn - I never use other people’s accounts, but Acorn was just something I was not adding so I am using my mom’s account.
  4. I liked all 3 of the finalists, but my favorite part of the episode was the part I usually hate the family part, but like people said when Rahul’s friend said that his life was richer with him and I loved when Kim Joy’s partner was testing the bake and gave her a Paul Hollywood handshake. i also agree that I dislike the “impossible” challenges - too little time, tricky themes, but I do love the technicals. Was it in Canada that someone was saying a few seasons ago they cut that part in their airing? I would not have been happy.
  5. I work with events and we use a lot of rental - chair, tables, flatware, plates. They just drop them. Our facilities people put the chairs and tables out and our caters move the crates with the plates, etc.
  6. The one thing I wonder is, since turquoise team was last, of course they would have the longest back up. I feel like at judges table they were implying they all had big FOH issue, but editing really just showed team turquoise. I wonder if like they Orange team who went first eventually got backed up too? It really seems like going last in general is a bad position (judges already ate 12 plates of food)
  7. I wrote this in a Top Chef thread - I liked that the limitation was just the time and ingredient and that creates the drama. I liked that besides something like needing to use a paella pan, they really didn’t have weird limitation. Cook with no knives! Use only food from a 7-11! Only have a toaster oven! That stuff is the stuff I can’t stand. The host bugged me and it took me to realize he was from the next iron chef (where he also amnoyed me). Didn’t recognize him with the short hair.
  8. I agree with all of you who hated the overly complicated challenges. Maybe it is because I watched a ton of GBBO and just finished The final table (which has its own issues), but I like to see the cooking and I feel like the time constraint and ingredient constraints are enough. However many of them cooking dessert (which they usually all complain about in a “home” kitchen was annoying.
  9. I am just sick of reading the posts on twitter that keep comparing Kaycee’s game to Josh’s. To me, that was a very different type of game where he just followed Paul all season. Kaycee might have been part of an alliance but she was a total comp beast - she didn’t win because other people threw comps she went out and killed it. I am not saying Tyler wasn’t deserving, but she played a strong comp game once she had to AND a good social game.
  10. To me that is the biggest problem - you bring in Hillary Swank, Brendan Frasier, and Donald Surtherland and they barely use them. I was interested at first because of the great casting - this is true crime there is no suspense - if you dont know the outcome it takes 2 mins to google how it ends. I came for the performances.
  11. Ha season 6 lizard people. I had stopped after 5 and then watched six this summer when I heard this would be the last season. There was no point to that season and I still don’t get what those “lizard people” were doing/how they really thought that blowing up cities plan would work.
  12. The obvious solution to this problem was to remove the baby sac like Dina wanted and give to Amy ;) that would solve the America’s actual pregnancy issue! Garrett, Cheyenne, Matteo and Sandra are my favorites in every episodes and I think they each get used just enough that they aren’t annoying with their quirks.
  13. I am sad about Dusty too. She really didn’t stand out for me at first but her story last week broke my heart a little and I wanted her to last a little longer.
  14. Reform is older than conservative - I believe late 1800s, early 1900s and it would make sense for this group - at least Midge's family. It was either in this episode or the one before, where Moishe even remarks that Abe is a non-believer. I think they kind of show that Joel is from old school/traditional -- garmet district, vs. Abe who is a professor of math at Columbia (which wasn't always an option for someone Jewish -even though traditionally Columbia was pretty welcoming to Jewish people compared to some of the other older Ivies.) Joel's mom with the chicken soup, also more old school. The YK stuff confused me too, especially the timeline. Was it Kol Nidre the pilot episode? I grew up and still belong to a consevative syngagoue so I go on Kol Nidre and the next day, but even my most reform friends go to Kol Nidre (and then maybe Yizkor the next day if they have lost a parents or sib or spouse) -- more than take off for RH and up there with Passover seders in terms of most people observing it. And agree with who ever said the garment factory would be closed. Back then the whole business was Jewish, there would have been nobody to even do businsess with because most places would have closed back then.
  15. It's so weird. I didn't like Viv when she was in most of the episodes the first season, but I was glad to have her back. I thought her and Oliver competing for the inheritance was a fun plot. And as soon as I saw that the "pig whisperer" was hot, I knew where that was going.
