I'm watching this for the first time and was cruising along happily until they had Bill O'Reilly as a guest star. That was off-putting. Should I anticipate any other similar surprises?

I agree! I think Hannah Simone would have been great as Nell.

Not Dead Yet in the Media: In Lieu of Flowers...
RainbowBrite replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Not Dead Yet
Do you think it's a bad sign that they haven't announce a renewal yet? Does the writers' strike have an impact on the timeline? EDIT TO ADD: Renewal announced this morning! https://deadline.com/2023/05/not-dead-yet-renewed-season-2-abc-1235367735/- 34 replies

No way!! It's amazing that I could sense that. I don't usually watch shows with a very critical eye for that type of thing. She obviously has a distinct and clear voice in her writing.

The premise of the main character losing their supernatural powers due to a romantic entanglement reminds me of the show Maggie, which ended Season 1 on that cliffhanger and was not renewed.

I feel like the ghosts gave Nell pieces of information she could not have come up with independently, didn't they? I feel like that was at least the case with Monty...

I wonder if it is an indication of her immaturity and lack of dating experience; she dated Tariq since a young age, she probably didn't have a lot of inhibition around him - they grew up together.

Also I think we're going to find out that Gregory and Janine are currently secretly seeing each other, based on the quick glances between them that keep being shown.

Did he look different to anyone else? Maybe his face is just slimmer, but it caught me off guard for a second.

This is a way for the creators to make money. The podcasts I support are not a part of a major brand and I really appreciate that they keep ads to a minimum. Added bonus is that their content behind the paywall has NO ads. You want them to create podcasts for you to listen to for free? Nothing is free; tv, radio, internet...you pay with money or with your time (listening to ads).

You're right! Even more so than Jack Black, now that you point that out!!

I don't know what it says about me that I was rooting for the Vicar and his family, getting irritated with Janice and the journalist for getting in their way. The way the journalist (her name is escaping me!) chased Mary, was shocked that she used the bread knife, then chased her into traffic - I get it, but I resented her for it. It was a very conflicting story and I agree with the posters who said that if Janice or the Vicar had stopped for a moment to think things through, none of this would have happened. Why couldn't they just destroy the thumb drive? Then it's just her word against theirs. As soon as he lay a hand on her, that was out of the question though. ETA: can someone explain the ending with Janice and her "husband"???

My uneducated guess was that the candies were not kosher? Maybe signifying that Ezra is re-evaluating what is most important to him (relationship with his father and his family?).

I didn't realize just how claustrophobic this show was making me feel until they expanded the world this episode. It was nice to see Ezra, in real time (not flashbacks). I have to hope that Sam killing his supervisor will be his downfall; this will be the second person close to him in his professional life that has died or gone missing in less than a week.

As I was watching this episode I checked to see how many more until the finale. I really don't understand how they'll fill three more episodes - either he makes it out alive, is kept there forever, or is killed. What else is there to see at this point?
