I think it was pretty bad, but I also think that yes MG's tweet made it that much worse.

I don't know if they killed it for good but if I dread watching a show and it leaves me just feeling depressed afterwards than it's time to stop watching, at least for me.

Idk what to think, obviously as a shipper I'm not valued and maybe I never was, but the stuff tonight just hurt. As a viewer not sure if I even have a reason to stick around, as it is i'm not watching live. I don't know why I stay around sometimes lol

I mean I agree I don't want yet another mask, and for sure not another BC. On the other hand a bad ass girl to hang with Felicity and Thea could be cool. I think though that there is already to many masks and someone on the new team has to go.

Interesting, well I will wait and see if she can pull off NuCanary but I'm not optimistic. Also please keep her away from Oliver cause that would be icky and make me instantly dislike her. Unfair but there it is! :D

The thing is, it might be nice to see that Oliver loves her enough to want her to be happy but we don't know anything about Mayo and her relationship. So it would seem super weird to think the audience would care about her and Mayo or find any value in Oliver accepting it. The whole thing is nonsensical and poorly thought out. I figure he will bang the reporter, hopefully the reporter doesn't stick around to long. Then NuCanary shows up and I really hope they don't throw her at Oliver because that's to far for me.

They just keep giving non answers which is frustrating to me since i'm a fan of Oliver/Felicity together, I'm not expecting anything good from 5x5.

I could see her more with Wild Dong than with Oliver but maybe that's just my wishful thinking lol

I agree to a point, but I've always thought what's the point of a couple being endgame if the road there is garbage? Not saying it has been, because for the most part Olicity has been great imo opinion and ofc Stephen/Emily chemistry is off the charts, but with BMD and this Mayo stuff it's really testing my patience.

The thing is if they truly wanted to drop Olicity for good they should be giving Felicity and Mayo's relationship some development, as it is it's just there annoying and pissing people off lol.

Well intentional or not the writers, for me at least, have left the Oliver/Felicity relationship unresolved in a lot of ways. Maybe them having a big confrontation/fight would bring some amount of clarity or resolution, but I don't see them doing that. I can only hope we see them gradually repairing things and yes I do want to see them reconcile eventually.

I don't disagree with most your points. I think the show made a few major mistakes very early on in the series that are to late to fix. I think KC was miscast, nothing against her personally, yet she was kept on for whatever reason, maybe contracts maybe hubris idk. Their second huge mistake was not seeing the potential Em had early on to play a more physical role, I know a lot of people don't want her to portray BC for a variety of reasons, but I think all things being equal she could have pulled it off for sure and has the chemistry with SA. So yeah getting an adaptation closer to the comics, I don't really see that happening. I mean they can cast yet another BC , but I not sure how much success they will have with that for a number of reasons.

I thought it was great, everyone did a great job. Emily and Josh have great chemistry. The situation is so tricky and it really is a no win situation. About 2 years ago my sister in law went to the hospital for stomach pain and was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. They have 4 young kids and let me tell you it's tough. She passed earlier this year but she fought so hard and just wanted more time with her kids. I think thats why I liked the short so much, unfortunately a lot of people out there can relate to that kind of tragedy.
