  1. I like what they did with the line too. We all knew what they were really saying, without saying it, and it was a creative spin. Plus, with the case being officially ruled as a dingo attack 2 years ago, it would be really crass to still be pulling that line out for comedic effect.
  2. http://www.theknot.com/wedding/Jill-and-Derick/view/5387319763559245/42210465 The towels are on the BBB registry. I haven't looked at the other ones, there's probably more towels on those too. eta….not and on are 2 different things!
  3. I just came to post the same exact thing. I get it was probably more about a vacation for the cast and the crew, but 1 episode seems like a wasted opportunity. It didn't help they shoved 5 story lines into the episode (Phil's mom, Alex's essay, Cam/Mitch being starfuckers, boys and boobs, and Claire/Jay working). Six if you include Hailey, Alex, and Lily shopping for a fucking stuffed animal. At least make it 2 episodes and flesh it out a bit, show more than the 2 Australia tourist traps every show ever has already shown.
  4. Maybe that's what she needs the 8920 sets of towels for on her wedding registry.
  5. I missed most of last season, but I knew he left the NW, it wasn't good, and now is back. But broken is sadly the perfect way to describe him. He has been through so much and it's like the guy just can't catch a break. When they did his first little interview, I just wanted to give him a hug. Between his sister, his dad, supporting his whole family, and now this career setback, I fear sooner or later he's going to hit his breaking point. Jake Harris, on the other hand, gets no sympathy from me. He's been given all the opportunities in the world and has all the resources to get clean, and he just doesn't want to. This isn't some guy who can't afford more than a 3 day stay in rehab, who doesn't have anyone in his life to offer support, or to be a sponsor/mentor. I do feel bad for Josh though. I'm not sure he really wants to even try to live up to Phil's legacy, but because of the show, he's got no choice. If there was no show, would Josh be trying to be a captain? I just don't see it. Unfortunately he's also got to be his brother's keeper, a thankless job for any sibling.
  6. I don't know. The kid at the park had a certain tone to his voice that sounded to me like he knew exactly what he was doing when he was asking questions. He was just a little bit too old, a little bit too rude, a little bit too too, if you know what I mean. Kids ask questions, but they do so innocently, without a tone. I manage a kids store, I hear their little chatter, questions, and comments all day long. That kid wasn't so innocent. Bill handled him like a pro though. He probably snarked about the kid to the camera crew when they left the park! LOL!
  7. Just last night I was missing the Rollo and it's crunchy granola Captain Eric.
  8. I about died when Zoey was "blowing it up" at the tea party. She obviously couldn't care less about the tea party, that was all for Jen's benefit. Zoey is 2, has no idea what a tea party was, and would have been just as happy doing nothing at all. Maybe my childhood was as lacking as Jen seems to think her's was, but we never had a formal tea party. We had a little plastic pot and cups and my sister and I would put Kool-Ade in it and sometimes open a pack of Little Debbie's, but that was it. Well, once my dad and uncle put beer in our little cups, but that's what happens when your dad is 23, your uncle is even younger, and you are 5. I don't remember any of my friends ever having a formal tea party, they all had the juice/cookies variety I had. I think Jen was showing her age with this one. It's her ideal of a fun event as an older mom, but certainly not Zoey's. Judy obviously dotes on Will. It seemed like Judy wanted Bill just to drop Will off to her and then leave. She got kinda excited when she asked if he could stay. Bill really needs to have his back surgery. He was so stiff when he was following Will back out the door. It looked like it was hurting him to even walk.
  9. That's right! And then the only issue was the scallops were RAWWWWW and no mention of Anton not taking it to the pass at all.
  10. Oh thank you for finally mentioning this was a bonus scene! I've seen it mentioned here and there, and have been trying to figure out how I missed this during the show. I just kept thinking how the hell did I miss sea lions?
  11. That was really stupid considering it's pretty easy to keep those kinds of rides from spinning at all if you really want to. Bill was lucky he wasn't wearing Will's lunch after that.
  12. Beth got the losing edit 2 minutes into the season. There was no way she was ever winning anything. What was she doing standing there with the lobster in her hands? It was like she expected it to magically turn into something else…. cooked, a completed dish, a kitten, I'm not sure. It looked like Sandra was actively trying to sabotage Joy. Granted, Joy is always harping in her ear, but she just stood there ignoring her. Kashia seems to have an awful lot of opinions on everyone else when we've yet to see her do anything other than cook 2 wellingtons without serving them raw. Bev is dead weight too. The entire men's team is pretty much cannon fodder. No that it matters, from the two links above, it's obvious winning this show comes with no real prize.
  13. I believe she does a combo of sides of beef and grocery stores. For the show and her blog, she wants it to look like what you are going to buy at your local grocery store. For their personal use, I think she's said they do buy sides of beef, but they don't slaughter on the ranch.
  14. Why did Bill and the kids have to go again? Other than an episode plot, I mean. The group photo being too germy was just ridiculous. You rode on a plane with it's recycled air and have spent a week with tons of doctors who came in contact with god knows what before they arrived at the conference. But yeah, the group pic might push it over the edge. Bill did a good job keeping the kids corralled at the park and with the other kids asking him questions. I did wonder where the parents of those kids were though. I don't remember seeing a parent other than Bill. The kids were rowdy in the store, but as a store manager, I've seen 1000 times worse on a weekly basis. It would have helped if Jen could have stopped shopping while Bill was trying to get them back out of the store. She kept trying to show him stuff and it was obvious he was annoyed. I hate that giant ass stroller they have too. I know most strollers built for two kids are that style these days, but seriously no one wants to have to deal with your massive ass stroller, trying to get around it, or watching as you knock stuff down in stores. And yeah, it makes it much easier for your kids to grab all sorts of stuff in those.
  15. I didn't even think of that while watching, but yeah, you can bet the original edit had a shit ton of references to babies. Many, many babies. I caught a glimpse of Gothard marrying them, but no mention or pop ups about him, and knew they probably had to do a little editing to cut him out as much as possible, but forgot about her miscarriage.
  16. Okay, I'm gonna ask this as a serious question. What the hell is going on with Erin Bates? Cuz girlfriend seems like the dimmest bulb out there. When she was reading the note from Chad, I honestly thought I was watching a 3 year old. The pretty pretty princess room…. I'm surprised she didn't put up kitten wallpaper or have Lisa Frank decals plastered all over the walls. If I didn't know Santa and the Easter Bunny don't play in their world, I'd be convinced she's the girl who still believes as an adult since mommy and daddy never told her the truth and she never figured it out. Nice glossing over of how they met. What did they call it? A religious retreat in Chicago? Ha! Oh Jessa, I love you and your snark. Her face in her TH about the pink room was all kinds of awesome, as was the look on her face when JimBob was asking idiot questions on the bus. Ben seemed less creepy than I had previously thought and I think Jessa sees him as an easy way out of the Tinker Toy house and knows she will be able to do whatever the hell she wants if she marries him and he's not going to say a damn word.
  17. Maybe there is someone out there who loves Gabby… I've yet to meet one, there's got to be some since TPTB are so insistent, right? RIGHT? Yeah, I don't think so either. If we thought this episode of the Gabby show was bad, next week is gonna be 1000% worse. But hey, if they follow their pattern, by the week after that, the story line will be completely resolved and we will never hear of it again.
  18. I thought I saw him signing. I wonder if Zoey has been taught any sign, I know a lot of people and organizations are advocating teaching toddlers sign to allow them some basic communication. I've also been lucky! LOL! I too have MS, not deaf, but I'm diabetic. Look at us, doubly lucky.
  19. Will is new to English and couldn't hear well for half his life. He seems to understand everything said to him now, but just isn't speaking well yet. I think he'll catch up fairly quickly, especially as Zoey starts to speak more English.
  20. You'd think if she was going to hate on anyone, it would be Drew. He's well known man whore, and I say this as a Cleveland girl. She strikes me as the kind of woman who drives me nuts. Something about her always seems like she's afraid of life, can't make a decision on her own, and has the wide eyed simpering helpless act down to a tee. I could be completely wrong about her, but that's the vibe I get. Last night was the first episode I've seen this season, I DVRd the first one and never got around to watching and then just didn't bother. She didn't overly impress me, but she certainly wasn't the worst I've seen on the show before.
  21. I know nothing about football numbers, why would 17 be a quarterback number only? But, for what it's worth, Bryce was a quarterback, at least at one point in time. If he switched positions wouldn't he have been able to keep his number?
  22. She's given credit to her MIL for the chocolate sheet cake, who didn't create the recipe either. Something about Ree needing it to keep Ladd happy. My mom's recipe for banana bread is different from most others (it's a full size crusty-ier loaf, no little half sized loaves that are kind of sticky), and I call it hers, but honestly, it's not. She got the recipe from her home ec class in high school. Am I gonna call it the recipe from some random home ec teacher in 1975 who probably got it from a cook book or someone else? Nope, it's my mom's. I always say I'm going to make the little lemon blueberry pancakes I saw, but who am I kidding? I don't even make regular pancakes. Most of her recipes are geared towards her family of 5 or more, not so much just me. And since I'm not really a fan of leftovers, I tend to cook on a much smaller basis. She's got more recipes for smaller portions on her blog, salads and lunches, but I haven't tried any of them.
  23. I'm actually more turned off by Bowen than the character. As she's aged and become more of a name, she's gotten very, I don't know, famewhore-y maybe, to me. I can't stand her when I see her on talk shows or awards shows. I am surprised at how much Phil has grown on me. He seemed like such a buffoon she the show first came on, but not so much anymore. He's had a lot of funny moments and always has the most touching moments with the kids.
  24. One was screwing up during the 10 perfect thing and then the other was screwing up on the apps station. But, they both might cook better if Joy would stop standing over them, micromanaging ever stir, chop, and thought they have. So far, i'm really liking Melanie's chances. She's confident and looks to have solid skills.
  25. This episode reminded me once again of just how much I can't stand Cam. He's a selfish ass who pouts if he doesn't get his own way. What the hell was going on with the kid who plays Luke? I know that since his growth spurt over the summer he's forgotten how to act, but it looked like he's forgotten how to talk too. It was like he couldn't figure out how to move his mouth to form words. I couldn't stop staring at the contortions his face was making.
