After reading the article do we know for sure those are BB guns? Some look like the could be, others don't. Not that it matters.

I'm glad one article is out, more will probably follow. People can debate homeschooling, religion, or even guns, but SEEING a 5yo with a rifle pointed near her, is hard to argue. Of course, the cat was fine, and Josie was fine, so who cares?

The Duggars, and all the other fundie families, do that. We woke up this morning, put on clean clothes, and ate breakfast! Incredible! We do things a little differently than other families, but somehow we make it all work. Give us money!

I downloaded the video they shot the same day at the lake. Can't ID the J'kid with the gun. It is a rife, not a shotgun (just one barrel) definitely not the Christmas gun. Which howler got a shotgun for Christmas? That's a rifle in the picture. Honestly, to me it's worse than catgate. A distracted second is all it would take for tragedy to happen. I'm not a medical professional, but I did send it to TMZ. A toy gun would have an orange tip.

I think they proselytize to Catholics, and other protestants because it's easier than learning about other religions. Islam is weird and scary to them, and it's abrahamic! What if they had to engage with someone of a completely different religion - like Hinduism and Jinger, they'd be totally lost.

There's a difference between features and a full-blown disorder. i'm honestly not sure what to make of Michelle's claims. It *sounds* to me like she just tried extreme dieting for a while when she was a teen, and it got blown that out of proportion for attention. If she did/does have a real disorder though, I feel sorry for her. Eating disorders are usually about control, and she does have control issues. It's so damn hard to know. If she got a tiny splinter 30 years ago, it was be - '"You wouldn't believe it, this wood PENETRATED my skin. It HURT SO MUCH there was BLOOD and everything! I couldn't even GET IT OUT! Too hard to control those kids. Plus foster kids can stay anywhere from a day to forever. Too risky. Pieces of the heart get given away. Plus the state monitors you. What if Jessa got a 17 year old girl? She'd be more emotionally mature than her foster mother.
