  1. Firsthand accounts too. She says she adopted the baby voice in an effort to stop yelling at the kids.
  2. Jim Bob can sue all he wants, and waste a lot of now-scarce money on lawyers, but I think in the end he'll be the one paying out the settlements.
  3. I see Alive.org finally pulled Josh from their speaker list. Jill and Jessa are still listed as speakers. Gotta make hay while the sun shines.
  4. At speaking engagements Jim Bob also tells a story about how their home was foreclosed on, and how he was disappointed in his father. You can have a foreclosure and still be well off, though. I still don't think Grandpa was that bad a guy. Jim Bob hates him, so he must've been an ok guy. That's very, very sad. And that's Just Michelle. Imagine being one of the kids. Remember how Jim Bob has an anger problem, and how Michelle is/was a yeller.?I'm sure the marriage isn't as calm and quit as we were led to believe.
  5. Golden parachutes don't last forever and we have no idea how much cash he has on hand. I'm sure he doesn't need to work now. But in five years, ten? What if there's more kids? Life has really limited Josh to being a silent partner. All those income sources just dried up, aside from Jim Bob. Hope they saved. Ben's AA, in a social science, in Arkansas? That'll get him a $10-12, full time, no benefits job. If he's lucky. One kid on the way, and more in short order. This is true, but they'll need to downsize. Jill better double down on malpractice insurance. Derrick's only employed by fluke of not being born a Duggar, and having some sense. Again, they'll be more kids popped out soon. A 17 year old vanity-published author and an 18 year old who's never worked outside the home, and who will be parents almost as soon as they wed? Not looking good. I don't either, but don't pretend that's financial independence. No, they get transferred to a much cushier wing of JB&M's prison of control. The kids can't escape by design. That being said, it's academic what losing the show will do the family.
  6. Jessa, and now likely Josh, don't support themselves. Jill theoretically could, but still gets the MacMansion handout from daddy, so far NO Duggar kid has full supported themselves. I honestly have less hope that Josiah and Marge could, either.
  7. I thought his voice cracked a little in the video. "We don't comment to paparazzi". To be fair to Josh (ducks!), he was wrangling the three kids, Anna was pulling a wheeled carry-on type bag. That might have been the less stressful job for someone in the third trimester.
  8. The video shows they're clearly entering the terminal from the street, with luggage. The still photos are taken right before security, with josh holding boarding passes and photo ID. They were leaving. All rumors point to the DC house being empty. They got out, while the getting was good.
  9. Come to think of it, they might reappear at the birth, especially if they have the bad luck of needing a hospital. I hope for Anna's sake she doesn't, and can get some relative privacy.
  10. Josh and family got out of DC the day before it broke. I'll give Josh credit for staying tightly in whatever bunker he's in. As long as there's TV, internet, and stocked fridge I doubt he wants to leave. Anna might just have enough sense not to tip off the media by going out, either. I doubt anyone would notice someone from her side of the family running errands.
  11. TLC would be foolish not to be focus-grouping the hell out of a spinoff. All data from before the scandal are meaningless, so they've got to catch back up. I think Josiah and Marge would have to be part of a spinoff, too. They simply need the material, and a strong-minded non-Duggar spouse. Not that it wouldn't still be boring as hell to watch.
  12. The original author may be deceased. Then, it gets tricky.
  13. These are incurious concrete thinkers. One network is just as racked-with-sin and worldly as any other. To the Duggars TLC=NBC=HBO=The Spice Channel. Gotta minster somewhere.
  14. I wonder if Intouch is waiting to release a bang, or a whimper. We'll see. I'm glad they tracked the Duggar plane. I'm sure Jim Bob will complain that it's flight plans are public info.
  15. Josie explicitly said she liked playing with her American Girl dolls, so take that for what it's worth.
  16. I can't tell if that page is real or not. Launching last Tuesday was a bad PR move; they're usually savvy about timing announcements. "Incestuous molestation is NO BIG DEAL" isn't a masterstroke of marketing, either. The two of them were only interesting because the other girls are spinsters, and no one can really tell the any of the boys apart. 19kac was running out of steam, but Jess and Jill are one-trick broodmares at this point.
  17. I think the incest joke, on national TV, just a few years after the incident proves Josh had little to no real recovery.
  18. So yeah, the instagram post makes me think were getting a spinoff. Like totally.
  19. I took it that way too. They're dangling the other shoe, waiting to let it drop....
  20. That's why I said overt. The Bates will mainline the kool aid until they die. It's just a bad time for the media to realize that Gil was one of Gothard's yes-men, or that Josh hung around the little Bates kids.
  21. To say that the show isn't important, and cancellation would be no big deal. An obvious lie.
  22. Honestly, I'd like to hear from the boys. They weren't victims, but were treated like potential perps. I mean, having to discuss all of your sexual thoughts with your parents....gross and violating.
  23. Jessa explicitly stated there weren't any other big family secrets, so you can bet there are. You know how the mob moves buried bodies, to cover their butts? I'm sure Jim Bob is doing the equivalent. But don't worry, they're not TV people. Says Jessa, in perfect makeup, into a camera, in the house perfectly setup for filming, next to her sister, who's holding a script.
