  1. Well, the pot store wasn't MY first time using either. Far, faaaaaar from it, actually. What was different - and the point of my post - was that dealing with it legally, out in the open is weird. And for the record, as much as I love to smoke me some weed, I'd never do it on camera or in front of my kids. My choice. Period.
  2. Re the pot café: I live in a legal-marijuana state. Going into a retail pot store for the first time was a weird, unsettling, thrilling experience for me, a 50-something whitebread suburban mom. I totally get why they were acting goofy. You've been told your whole entire life that it's criminal, bad, dangerous, lowlife, etc (and any usage must be on the downlow) and *suddenly* you're in a situation where that exact same product is totally legit and aboveboard and public and it's use is NBD. It's a real disconnect. A 180. My first time at the pot outlet I was both giddy and nervous as hell. So I get it.
  3. So we're to believe that a family court judge would just consider Kody and Robin's legal marriage and completely overlook the fact that they're a polygamist/pseudo-bigamist family? Which is still technically illegal, right? Did they infer that their polygamy would fly under the court's radar? Mmmm'kay.
  4. Not to mention at cashing out a 401k early incurs withholding and penalties - 30-45% off the top, IIRC. So if the amount she had invested and withdrew was indeed $15,000, they flushed $5,000 (minimum) of that right down the shitter. These people are idiots.
  5. Did I understand correctly that the Van Pattons only have a housecleaner once a week? If so, that sorta surprises me, don't most of these ladies have daily housekeeper/nanny/cook/assistant? Kim. Ugh. What a bitch. Her face looked ragged on the plane. IMO, she's been told to straighten up or else (or a dim bulb flipped on in her head). So she's white-knuckling Calgary/Amsterdam w/o the pills/patches/booze/whatev and she is PISSED. FURIOUS. Also, Kim's hairdresser hates her as much as we do, judging by her THs.
  6. OMG. This. That smirking, snotty "Blah blah blah..." in response to Lisar's gentle concern said it all wrt Kim. She's a horrible person, drunk or sober.
  7. Ha! I caught that too and laughed. After suffering through countless pityparty episodes of Meri crying about "I want a baby but I can't get pregnant!" and to see her now calmly state "Nah. Not really. J/K. Different season of life!" is fucking insulting.
  8. "Premarital sex will break your heart...BAD." Yeah, unlike having your husband in other womens' beds 3 out of 4 nights.
  9. I wonder if "the patch" is actually just a nicotine patch. We've seen Kim clutching an ecig in every episode this season. She might bounce between the two, depending on the situation; I know people who do exactly that. As for Brandi, she purposefully left dangling that juicy, ripe peach - just hoping LisaR would run it back to the rest of the Howives.
  10. You know, you'd think after watching herself on TV all these years she would realize just how biting, rigid, and unforgiving she sounds. Hey, Kate, we're all human. Sorry that no one can live up to your insane standards. But damn.....maybe if you didn't give a flying fuck if the bath mat was placed horizontal or vertical on the side of the tub you wouldn't have a case of fucking stress shingles. Just saying. I get that taking care of 8 kids every day isn't going to be easy for anyone, but half of that stress is self created. ____________________________ OMG. This. I stopped and replayed this scene at least three times looking for the messy, thrashed bathroom Kate was shrieking about, and all I could come up with was "She's having an epic shit fit over a bathmat?" WTeverlovingF. That bathroom was spotless, you loon.
  11. I'm having a hard time seeing how this divorce/marriage shenanigans would alleviate any financial or custody issues. Pretty much all of the legal rights automatically conferred with marriage can be obtained through other means - powers of attorney (medical, legal, financial), medical directives, wills, etc. BTW, it's 2015, two people do not need to be married to finance a house together. Makes no sense. These people are loony and unconventional, but I don't see any signs of abuse or neglect in any of the children that would warrant removal from the mother's home; mostly the kids seem to be settled and doing pretty well. If Robin's ex is using the polygamy (multiple wives/mothers) aspect to get the kids, a marriage certificate does not change the fact that they're still clearly living a polygamist lifestyle. Makes no sense. I don't know much about the technicalities of financial aid or bankruptcy, so I can't speak to those but I gotta believe it would be hard for them to successfully scam the system (at this point) because so much of their lives are on TV. Any fraud would be pretty easily exposed. Then there's the tweets, the wives' recent meltdowns/walk-offs, the terse PR statement. Hmmmm. My guess is that Kodster will give a variation on the "On the run! We're being persecuted! They'll take our kids!!" BS spin. The truth will be quite different.
