  1. blackwing, no those were 2 different guys, not related.

So we know that Annalise won't really die at the end of the season because she's the star, still, anyone could've tried to kill her.

More naked Nate please...he was so sexy when he was mad!(rightfully so).

She won't die, right?  Someone like. calm my nerves.  Just no spoilers.  I was murmuring "Noo.. nooo" like a kitten that had been struck.

And yesssss to your second sentence, always?  Why isn't it in the contract for every episode!  Huh~!

So desperately attracted to Frank this season....

  2. Joe is nice looking but I think its personality that brings that to the fore.  Woo is actually prettier to me.

Completely agreed, on all fronts.  People like Joe because he's simply likeable and positive.  It would be hard not to.  Not because he's literally the most beautiful thing they've ever seen. On an island, with only THOSE people?  You bet he's going to be dreamy.  And Woo -- well, yeah.

Even though Woo really was out of it at this TC, I'm going to argue that sometimes he very deliberately plays clueless too.   The argument that Woo is so clueless he screws up everyone's plans doesn't really work.  He deliberately screwed over Spencer last season , and he never once screwed up Tony's plans which took the both of them all the way to the final -- Tony's brilliant plan all along.   Woo was never going to vote out Tony.  It wasn't something he 'screwed up'; he did exactly what he wanted to.  Now was it the stupid thing to do - sure.  He lost the game and lost out on the money.  But he didn't go around fumbling up planned moves.

I like Spencer too, and I didn't get Spencer saying he was arrogant during his season. He had to fight, claw, and scratch to stay in the game especially when they were 3 tribes because once the men were voted off and Spencer was the only one, they made it apparent that he would be next unless he proved himself. Seriously the women were thinking of getting rid of Spencer over J'Tia (worst player ever) and that was the brain tribe. Even after the merge he had to keep winning immunity challenges to keep himself in the game and he played a smart game during that one tribal council where he told everyone to go for Plan B without spoiling who it was and that person went home instead of the main person they wanted to get rid of.

In my opinion, Cagayan is one of the top 5 seasons of all time.  Your description brought back memories and gave me goosebumps.  And it was recent enough, so that is why there is Spencer, Woo, Tasha, and Kass all back from that season.

I'm so glad they showed the clip of Spencer saying "Kass, you have zero chance of winning this game."  It made zero sense for TPTB to back that clip with Spencer narrating that he was too arrogant in Cagayan.  Actually his statement was 100% accurate, especially right when he said it.  Spencer is a fascinating player because he was so visibly frustrated all the time and didn't filter himself.  Didn't care about hurt feelings.  Unfortunately he might change that all this time around; hopefully he'll be fascinating in a different way.

  3. I'm so happy to read so much positivity towards Aras here!  I absolutely adore that guy.   I guess that's the effect Vytas seems to have on people.  Vytas was really disgusting you guys.  Even reading the descriptions here are creeping me out all over again.  It was so great watching Aras's season because the guy I liked best through the entire season actually won, which seemed so unbelievable.

I'm sorry to read so much negativity towards Woo though.  I'll be here in my Woo love.  He always coasts along without having a clue, that's his game plan and somehow it almost worked out for him last time.  Though I do miss Tony.  I'd really like a season with Tony, Mike and other winners.  I'm sure I'm echoing an idea said many times before.  Why doesn't anyone want to align with Woo?  He's so easy to control.

But....but he IS the dreamiest!  I mean, I'd totally prefer Ozzy or Malcolm, but okay, Joe is totally the THIRD dreamiest!

That is correct.  That is the order we have all decided on.   I forgot to say that I loved Tasha's interview about distractingly hot Joe is.  Something to easily relate to!

Abi is making me look extremely stupid for voting for her.

Still sad about Shane Powers, though he seems kind of stupid on Twitter.  But that doesn't really matter does it because he'd be amazing on the island.  Substitute Shane for Shirin and you have the most amazing show on earth.  Though I will hold myself before negatively commenting; she hasn't bugged me this season yet, and neither has #KHAOSKASS.

I believe in PG, whether she stole the bracelet or not.  LOL honestly who cares.

  4. So funny how PR decided to do this weird "Swapnil smokes and is therefore EEEEEEEEEvil" edit out of left field.

Half of my friends and some of my family smokes.  It doesn't affect the relationship.  They don't do it around me or in my house.  It's obviously bad for their health but people are adults and there's only so much you can say or do.

I thought the shot of Swapnil smoking and smiling outside made him look like a movie star.

I liked Ashley's design because it really made me smile when it came out on the runway.  There's a reason the show edited it to be the last design in the show.   It was cute and special in my opinion.  I didn't get the fuss over Kelly's.  Well made but boring effect.

Lindsay is much too neurotic and intense for me.  She always seems on the verge of a breakdown.

Let me add to the chorus of Aube's worshippers.  TheFashionSpot has her listed as the following:  Aubé Linda Jolicoeur.  Not sure which is accurate because Tim never pronounces the last accent. She is so incredibly fine. Her Instagram https://instagram.com/aube_linda

  5. Blake saying "I don't speak Indian" to Swapnil is racist in my opinion.

    It assumes:

    1. All people with your skin colour speak "Indian".
    2. "Indian" is the language of your people.  I'm too ignorant to bother to care what language(s) people may speak in the country of India, so I'll go ahead and assume.  Cute, right?
    3. You speaking understandable English sounds so horrible to me that I'll dismiss what you're saying by telling you I don't speak your made up "language".  I won't even deign to respond to you.  I'll just dismiss you by reminding you that you are not from here.  Don't even bother trying to communicate with me because I won't even bother listening.

Random and unequal analogies like somebody saying "I don't speak French" do not discredit that experience in my opinion.  Also, in every analogy the person would be speaking English so it's really a stupid thing to say no matter how you slice it.  More than anything, Blake used Swapnil's skin colour to extricate himself from the conversation.

  6. I guess I should watch AP tomorrow.  Let me guess, Carly took *zero* responsibility about how head-in-the-clouds and blind she was to the whole thing?  She was steamrolling the guy's narrative on the show the entire time.  Did we even hear Kirk doing talking heads about how much he liked Carly, or just that he liked not having drama or being on a beach or whatever?  I don't know.  I think we heard a couple at the beginning, but Carly's THs about how much she liked Kirk seemed to be totally disproportionate to his reciprocal ones.  (I totally think he is a lot to blame too, and kind of cowardly.)  But come on.  You can't just always assume somebody has the exact same feelings about you at the exact same time.

I would not wish ill will upon these people, but Tanner seems so 'with-it' and irreverent.  Jade seems so empty and uninteresting.  But at least she was really sweet in that last episode.

  7. I respect Justin for breaking the date with Jacquelyn.  I thought that was really mature and honest.  What if he went out with Jaq and then somebody else went out with Cassandra and she ended up liking someone else?  It's like how Jared missed out on dating Jade, who he probably actually liked, because he kept being so polite to Ashley I.

I feel really bad saying this but I can't even look at Jaq's face.

I really like Tenley.  That's a person who actually won me over over the course of the season.  I don't "like" Jade but I liked her totally empathetic reactions to Carly's pain.

I still think Mackenzie is the prettiest one there.  Although Cassandra does look a lot like her.   Too bad Mack didn't get to say much of interest; it just might not be inside her head.

Is Samantha wearing blue contacts?  Her eyes show such emptiness and/or pure evil.  I'm totally buying that narrative

  8. Laurie (and Swapnil and Edmond) is my beautiful favourite, for her beautiful face, personality, and designs.  I just love her.

I'm liking Blake more with every episode.

    NO to Kelly Osborne.

Amanda is finally gone.  If that didn't happen, I would have barfed Kool-Aid everywhere.  Thank the heavens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merline always has some super interesting ideas.  Once she nails the execution I think she could be pretty amazing.  Did we not see Joseph try to bully her all episode?

  9. I've never interpreted Ashley using her virginity as a bait.  I've never seen her voice that opinion.  The fact is she's a virgin yes so it's brought up.  But does she bring it up to 'entice' Jared?  Tanner seems to discuss it the most, and Ashley tells the camera, but other than that....  I think she's just being her honest 14 year old self.

    • Love 6
  10. Mackenzie is so, so pretty!  She looks like Riley Keogh!  Is there another famous person she resembles?  Bijou Phillips I think.  Anyway her face is very pleasing.

Jacquelyn on the other hand is horrifying.  I say yes to plastic surgery and I don't need to know how she looked beforehand to say that.  Human faces aren't meant to look like that.

  11. Did anything happen in the last few minutes, besides Jared reading the letter some more?  I was watching Demi Lovato.

I'm trying to give the show a chance (as if I have a choice, it's summer LOL) and I seemed to watch it from a completely different perspective this time.

Ashley I. seemed sane, beautiful obviously, and even kind of adorable.  It was like I was cheering for her as a heroine in a romantic novel.  She also seems to have enough self-awareness, saying things like, "I know people think I'm crazy…"

Tenley -- what happened?  I thought that she was an average looking women when the show started.  But I think they did her hair and she was wearing an adorable outfit on the Joshua date, she suddenly seems very attractive.  It doesn't hurt that she's always smiling and seems very cool.

If you run into a manipulative woman that shows red flags like Samantha, just steer clear.

  12. Next, a baby will be the guest judge.

Nina wants to show everyone that she 'gets' Blake because she feels like it will make her look young.

Amanda is one of the worst designers ever to be on this show, with the worst attitude, and the worst self-awareness, and that dress is one of the worst fucking things that I have ever seen.  Shame, shame on this show.  GET RID OF HER.  I have such a hate for this person.

Joseph's model is extremely beautiful.  I think that's the one that stood out to me.  Shockingly beautiful.

Laurie had the best design for me this week.

I love how Kelly looks like she's from Jem and the Holograms.

  13. Maybe it's all the makeup she wears, but Sam's face looks like a shiny plastic or wax sheet pulled over a very pointy triangle (the nose part).

I know it sounds mean but her personality is just so atrocious that it makes her look horrid.

  14. Elena: my baby's name is asshole. Here she is!

Thank you.  The infamous Season 10 Baby Animatronic Robot Challenge.  I think I have spoken about this before, but Season 10 was one of the best seasons with the best overall personalities (Elena, Sonjia, Christopher Palu, Fabio, and of course Dmitry, even Kooan), who were all simply AMAZING for soundbites.

AND !!!  That Baby challenge was not only maybe the funniest PR episode I have ever seen (coupled with Santino/Andrae/Tim/Olive Garden drama) but one of the funniest television episodes I have ever seen in my entire life, of any show.  The designers' reactions to their babies was so over the top hilarious.  Remember how much Fabio doted on his child, held it, spoke to it, cooed at it, and treated it like it was real?  Oh, my god.

Sonjia, when a mother in the mother-daughter challenge was being difficult towards Christopher:

"You need to just get your shit done and not worry what Miss Mary J. Blige thinks."

  15. I personally think a cheongsam or updated cheongsam would be amazing, the way that Swapnil and Laurie (I am terrible with names) tried to update the sari.

In the 90s there were so many beautiful uses of it in American pop culture - Rachel Green, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cassandra in Wayne's World 2, Nicole Kidman in Dior (kind of?) --- I've been fond of every time I've seen it used accordingly.

It could be done as a shirt with a skirt, or a shirt with pants, or something... at least it would have been way more "on the nose" than a kimono.  The judges don't seem to mind when you go a bit costume-y.  Just make it well.

  16. Joseph (?) made a bunch of judgements about Merline and then handcuffed her accordingly and then treated her like garbage basically, and then on the runway when HIS design and execution was criticized he blamed Merline.  I know I'm echoing other posts here, but what an ass.

  17. Merilene has to be on drugs, yes?  I'm not trying to be facetious.

I couldn't believe that Jake and what's her name attacked each other so strongly when they were in the top, I though for sure they'd be told their attitude knocked them down to the bottom.

I have to just say my piece which is that I hate the (IMO) FALSE narrative of the show, which is "Collaboration is important!"  Bullshit, PR!  "Collaboration is the epicentre of every art form!"  (or some other such nonsense)  Bullshit, PR!

The funny thing is that season after season PR wants to so sanctimoniously show 2 designers who get along atrociously, "THEREBY" sending their look to the bottom.  But that is only the case sometimes.  Good collaborations don't always lead to winning designs - just sometimes.  Bad collaborations doesn't always lead to losing designs -- just sometimes.  Season after season, I have to laugh, when a pairing that absolutely hates each other in the team challenges is in the top 3.  It happens every year, and I knew it would happen again.  Hence, the Hong Kong team.  So what lesson have we learned, PR audience?  Oh yeah.  Nothing.

I thought the Greek Isles one was pretty good.  I'm really liking the woman who was on that team (so she'll be losing soon I'm sure).  There's something about her that reminds me of junior high school ca. 1992, and I'm appreciating the familiarity/comfort that brings

Kelly is her name, right?  Which is so perfect for her, and that late 80's, early 90's thing.  I think I'm a bit in love with her.  She wore a very bright lipstick on the Cruise Ship and looked stunning.

But Jake had been to Hong Kong, so he was an instant authority and wanted to "teach" Lindsey.  Idiot.

So?  I'm honestly shocked anyone could take Lindsey's side in the "IDGAF that Asian cultures have differences" debate.  You want to make a kimono, make it for another challenge.  This is the Hong Kong challenge.  She was being a deliberate brat.

I don't like how passive aggressive and weak Jake is, but at least he had respect for the culture he was designing for. And if I hadn't been to a country, but someone else had?  You bet I would let them be the authority on it!  To me that's just so logical.

I don't hate Pistachio at all, but she was really hard to work with.  I just like Edmond a lot.  I think it was weird he wanted to force her to communicate with him the way he does, though.  People work and communicate differently.  I think he just works very panicked and she works very organically and "in her head".  So it was a disaster from the start.  Pistachio was the worse one for me, in the sense that she fiercely, fiercely, fiercely didn't seem to want to collaborate.  Too bad.  You don't have to love doing it, but you have to do it, for god's sake!
